The Little Prince

admired, and to own everything. With the exception of the lamplighter, whose dogged faithfulness he admires, the little prince does not think much of the adults he visits, and he does not learn anything useful. However, he learns from the geographer that flowers do not last forever, and he begins to miss the rose he has left behind. At the geographer's suggestion, the little prince visits Earth, but he lands in the middle of the desert and cannot find any humans. Instead, he meets a snake who speaks in riddles and hints darkly that its lethal poison can send the little prince back to the heavens if he so wishes. The little prince ignores the offer and continues his explorations, stopping to talk to a three-petaled flower and to climb the tallest mountain he can find, where he confuses the echo of his voice for conversation. Eventually, the little prince finds a rose garden, which surprises and depresses him--his rose had told him that she was the only one of her kind.

Some people say that board games are only for small children. If someone says "board game" then people will start think about small kids playing snake and ladders. I agree that that kind of board games is for childrens but nowadays there is very much dice games for grown-ups too. The most famous adults board game is chess. Much children can play it too, but still it needs little bit bigger brain and someway it likes for intelligent people more than the others. Another board game for grown-ups is "Cashflow", it is the game which teaches how to invest your money and how to get it work for yourself. It is quite hard

Loch Ness Monster Inglise keeles

Loch Ness Monster Nessie, a giant lake monster, supposedly inhabits Scotland 's Loch (Lake) Ness. Nessie is the world's best-known cryptozoological creature and has been sighted as far back as 656 AD. Nessie is described as being anywhere from twenty to forty feet long, with two humps, a tail and a snakelike head. Nessie's movements have been studied, and many films and photos analyzed, to determine what Nessie might be, if she exists. For the last seventy years or so, since she began receiving regular publicity, Nessie has been a major tourist attraction. There are numerous theories as to Nessie's identity, including a snake- like primitive whale known as a zeuglodon, a long-necked aquatic seal, giant eels, walruses, floating plants, giant molluscs, otters mirages and diving birds, but many lake monster, researchers seem to favour the plesiosaur theory. The case has occasionally been supported by indistinct ...

sights. Also you can just relax and enjoy yourself or just stop thinking about your problems. On the other hand travelling needs a lot of money and free time. Also you have to know anything about that country where are you going. You have to be sure about your safety too if anything should happen to you. You can never be sure that the plain you are flying with doesn't cause plain crash. And there could be more dangers like bitten by a snake or getting hit by a rock. Anyway escaping from your problems doesn't solve anything. So there are a lot to think about. Despite all of this negative sides we still travel and the point of this article is to think before going somewhere. You need to make sure why, where and how. After this: good flight!

Thailand

Thailand's currency is the Baht, 100 Bahts is about 2,70 Euros. Thailand's main religion is Buddhism which 95% of the population believes in. Thailand has no deadly spiders and only 2 snakes with deadly venom: the Malayan Krait and the King Cobra. Most snakes will go away as fast as possible after seeing a human, even if confronted. Only a very big Python will think of a human as prey and even if it does start chasing you its very easy to outrun any snake on the planet. Thailand is a very warm place, but doesn't get too warm because of how humid the air is. Thailand has amazing places such as the big Buddha mountain and the Wat Rong Khun. What I don't like about Thailand is the traffic, Thailand has very bad drivers and it's hard to go for a walk as there's no places for pedestrians to walk. To cross the road, you have to look left and right for any cars and then run as fast as you can to the other side of the road

ROMANTISM

He who torments the chafer's sprite Weaves a bower in endless night. The caterpillar on the leaf Repeats to thee thy mother's grief. Kill not the moth nor butterfly, For the last judgement draweth nigh. He who shall train the horse to war Shall never pass the polar bar. The beggar's dog and widow's cat, Feed them and thou wilt grow fat. The gnat that sings his summer's song Poison gets from slander's tongue. The poison of the snake and newt Is the sweat of envy's foot. The poison of the honey bee Is the artist's jealousy. The prince's robes and beggar's rags Are toadstools on the miser's bags. A truth that's told with bad intent Beats all the lies you can invent. It is right it should be so; Man was made for joy and woe; And when this we rightly know, Thro' the world we safely go. Joy and woe are woven fine, A clothing for the soul divine. Under every grief and pine

only him. He was promised to be paid out his salary after he had put the cross on top of the spire. When Olev went to do his final job on the church, his wife joyously cried out at home, ''Today Olev will come home with a thousand barrels of gold!'' Olev succeeded in fastening the cross, but as soon as he had done it, he slipped and fell down the spire. Whe he hit the ground, a frog and a snake jumped out of his mouth. Olev was buried right on the same spot where he had fallen. On his grave they put a stone depicting Olev, the frog and the snake. And to commemorate the clever master, the church became to be called Olev's (St. Olaf's) or Oleviste Church. The more the people rejoiced at the beautiful church, the more the Old Nick got distressed. For a long time he tried to work out how to destroy the church. It would not

Austraalia kohta inglise keelne referaat

But today's Australia is one of the most urbanized countries in the world. For many years, Australia was a part of the British Empire, and the Anglo-Celtic heritage has greatly influenced the country's lifestyle. The traditional British supper is still very common, and barbecues ("the barbies", as Australians call it) are a typical Australian pastime. There is also the traditional Aboriginal cooking in Australia. It consists of such unique foods as kangaroo, wombat, turtle, eel, emu, and snake meat. Almost all Australians love sports. Soccer, rugby, cricket, cycling, bush walking (hiking), tennis, and golf are very popular among Australians of all ages. Australians love to celebrate their national holidays. Along with New Year's Day, Easter, and Christmas, they celebrate the Australia Day on January 26, the Queen's birthday, and they also have several festivals during a year. Two of the most important festivals are for Easter and Christmas.

Exami kysimused-vastused

On a transposition of nouns this is observed in personification, in which objects, natural phenomenon and animals are attributed with human feelings or speech (e.g. "The Wind laughed his evil laugh." "wind" is combined with typically human aspects). Another case of transposition is zoonymic metaphor. Names of animals, birds, fantastic beings when applied to people become emotionally coloured and often offensive: donkey, duck, mule, snake, wolf, angel, devil, etc. Negative colouring is made stronger by constant epithets and emphatic constructions (e.g. "You filthy swine", "You lazy dog"). Adjectives when used as nouns become colloquial (e.g. "come on, lovely (noun)"). When abstract nouns begin to stand for people they become emotional (metonymy) (e.g. "The little eccentricity." an eccentric child). Possessive case the suffix apostrophe "`s" may be added to a phrase or sentence and the result is humor or colloquial touch
