millest räägib? oma arvamus miks valisin? kokkuvõte Hello, my name is Raili and I’m talking to you about how a 2-minute walk may counter the harms of sitting. I read an article about this topic in New York Times. Everyone knows something about the risks of sitting behind a desk all day without any physical activity, or even if not, they can imagine it’s not really healthy for you. Well the researchers at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City have conducted a survey in order to find out if only by walking two minutes every hour can you reduce the risk of premature death
they will have more freedom and that can be really exciting for them. However, they do not realize that living at home has more benefits compared to living away from home. The best thing about living away from home is that you have more freedom. You can set your own rules, stay up late, invite friends to your place and have parties whenever you want, but you need to be mature enough to handle it. Disadvantage is that you may feel homesick. Another disadvantage is that you will have to pay rent, bilss, and buy your own food which will definitely affect you in the financial aspect. Finally, another aspect is convenience. You will not have many things that you used to have at home. You will have less free time for other activities because you will spend more time doing housework, balancing the budget and organizing things by yourself.
Estonian climate in winter-time. In Estonia, winter climate is very variable. Some year, it could be very cold outside, but some year it could be so warm you may wear your autumn clothes in winter. Some year it could snow so much, that you can't even get out of the house, because there's too much snow in front of your door and some year it may not snow for at least half of the winter-time. But no worries, mostly the temperature may go below -30 and because of the cold, students are absent from schools. The absent students mess up the whole classes program, because then it takes more time to study some subjects and teachers have a lot more work to do. I think, that when students skip school because of the bad weather, teachers should put homework and the work that should have been done in classes, on ekool, but not as concise as it would be if stundents have been at school

As usual I came in with quite an entrance. My motorhome was by far the tallest ever built. It had three stories and looked extremely cool. After walking Hammond through my surperb motorhome I couldn't help but laughing at his. It was a hidious Land Rover which appeared from far to be covered with bricks. The ,,stone effect" was in Richards mind the Land Rover style. It literally had a bog next to the driver's seat. After having a great laugh once more over Hammonds brilliant motorhome, James May came in what appeared to be a rocketship stuck on a Lotus. We didn't want to stop for long at James's rocketship with a bog next to your head so we showed James Richards motorhome. James took it all together with one nice sentence: ,,It's a Land Rover with curtains on the outside". That is pretty much all there is to it though Richard assured us that it will all be explained when we get to our camping site. No time later we were handed a challange. We had to drive over 200 km to Cornwall
Different nations. There has always been a moving and mixing of people, caused by different reasons. As a result of this process people now have mixed cultures and many cultural conflicts. It should be easy and good to live in a town full on different cultures, but it may cause some trouble to. Countries with rich diversity usually do not have a race problem.Small countries with only one or two nationalities can be the centre of such problem. The people in these countries do not have any experiences with other origins people, because they aren't used to it. When they see, for example, a black-skinned person ,they start whispering. However, people who grew up in countries with wide diversity, are much more tolerant. They meet

Are student organizations beneficial for students? This essay will deal with the following aspects of the question „Are student organizations beneficial for students?“. It is noticeable that student organizations are quite popular subject right now. Topical issue is that there may be different opinion about how beneficial student organizations for students really are. Student organizations usefulness could be disputable, beacause there are always postive and negative side to everything. One the one hand it appears that some students might support and think that student organizations are really advantageous for them and others do not support that idea. For example many stundents might complain about that sudent organizations are full of politics
My childhood story Whenever I think about my childhood, one story comes to my mind. A story I am proud of. It’s about how I helped my one year older brother when he got stung by a bee. It’s not just an ordinary story because my brother, back then, was allergic to bees. And because of that I may have saved his life. It all began on a sunny summer day at my grandfather’s country home. We had a dog back then and he had his own fenced garden with a doghouse in it. Me and my brother were just fooling around outside doing funny stuff. At some point he decided to go let the dog out. The poles that were holding the fence up were holo inside and the bees thought that it was a great place to make a hive in. I can’t remeber why, but my brother for some reason leaned over the fence pole and

What is the best age to be? The question we all may ask ourselves time and time again. What is the best age to be? In my opinion there is not a best age and because of that is a question that will always be left unanswered. The life span approach emphasizes developmental change is throughout adulthood as well as childhood. As a 18 year old female I cannot really choose a specific age group that would be best in the life in every aspect, because I have not yet reached certain age periods of my life span development.
Symptoms include staggering gait, muscle tremors, collapse, difficulty breathing, coldness and eventually heart failure. However, death occurs so rapidly that many times the symptoms are missed. Fatal poisoning in humans is very rare, only occurring after eating a lot of yew foliage. Traditional uses In recent years it has been found that taxol, a chemical found in the bark of the yew, inhibits cell growth and cell division, and may have some promise in the fight against cancer. It was also one of the most important trees in the history of European warfare, as its wood was used exclusively for the making of the longbows, spears and dagger handles. In the past they were used as landmarks, because of their size and longevity, and their dark branches would make them stand out in the landscape. It is excellent for furniture making, interior, fences, gates, chairs, doors, tables, and rustic furniture.

Sisukord . 2 1. Sissejuhatus Raamat räägib seitsmekümnendatest New Yorkis. May palun Newlandi, et viimane Ellenile seltsi pakub kui May ise reisile läheb. Newlandile meeldis väga Elleni seltskond. Hakkas talle saatma anonüümselt kollaseid roose.
Ph.Aronstein, M.Deutschbein, I.Galperin. In the 50's and 60's of the previous century there was a rapid growth of interest in stylistics throughout the word. In the 70's and 80's, the methods of structural linguistics were very popular in stylistics. Present stylistic studies have become quite systematic. Computer-assisted stylistic analysis appears to be quite promising, e.g the study of cases of disputed authorship (I may claim I have written Othello) which may study the influence of one author to another. Although still somewhat chaotic stylistic is a vigorous, young science with vast prospects. Stylistician- a scholar who studies style. Stylist- a writer or speaker skilled in a literary style. Linguistic style Linguistic style is a variety of language with its peculiar vocabulary, phraseology, grammatical, phonetic features that are used selectively and purposefully to express ideas in a given situation.

hyperadrenocorticism. Diagnostic tests Diagnostic tests are often performed to establish a diagnosis or differentiate between two diagnoses in symptomatic patients. Since the goal is to definitively identify a specific disease state, these tests should have good specificity, which means there should be few false positive results. Tests with high diagnostic specificity are often used after screening tests to confirm diagnoses. In addition to confirming a disease state, diagnostic tests may also reveal additional information as well about the severity of disease. They can yield useful prognostic information and establish a baseline for treatment monitoring and disease progression. Often, several diagnostic modalities can be used to seek a diagnosis in a symptomatic patient. Each test has unique characteristics of which a clinician should be aware. For example, both thoracic radiographs and computed tomography (CT) scan can be used to evaluate pulmonary metastases
It is part of literary criticism and poetics. Poetics--studies the structure of a literary work and aesthetic means employed in it. Linguistic stylistics--views linguistic facts from the point of view of their ability to convey additional shades of meaning. Any act of speech passes on 2 types of information: · The content as such · Additional inf. which finds expression in all kinds of extra shades of meaning that are attached to the main content The form of speech may vary depending on the speaker, the listener and the circumstances they both find themselves (to begin-to commence--to get going) Stylistics studies everything that makes the text or the utterance special. It cuts across all the basic linguistic sciences: · Phonetics--silent, sleepy streets · Morphology--speak, spoke, spake · Syntax--he came in-in came he · Lexicology--finish-terminate (synonymic pairs) A survey of the development of stylistic studies:
Present day stylistic studies have gradually taken a more systematic course. Computer assisted stylistic analysis seems quite promising (e.g. the study of cases of disputed authorship). Although still somewhat chaotic and unorganized stylistics is a vigorous young science with wide potential and prospects. 2. INHERENT CONNOTATION Meaning of a word has: a denotation (meaning proper, we find it in dictionaries) and a connotation (an additional shade of meaning). Connotation may be a permanent part of word meaning it is then called inherent connotation. Connotation is ever present when the word is used. Adherent connotation is the shade of meaning the word requires in a particular context only. Outside this context this shade of meaning is not present. INHERENT CONNOTATION (IC) 1. IC may be secured by the very object, quality or notion that word denotes. Positively charged words are: noble, manly, virtue, beauty, love, etc
PRODUCT ERGONOMIC KEBOARD A "fixed-split keyboard" is a single board, with the keys separated into two or three groups, allowing the user to type at a different angle than the typical straight keyboard. An "adjustable split keyboard" has the keyboard split into several independent pieces, so the angle between them can be easily changed. Either of these types of keyboards may include elevated sections at various angles. Other ergonomic keyboards have fixed, vertically aligned keys, so the user types with their hands perpendicular to the ground, thumbs-up. Still others allow a range of rotation and elevations. Simple ergonomic keyboards can cost as little as typical keyboards or as much as $995 for high end keyboards. An ergonomic keyboard may reduce muscle strain and reduce risk of Carpal Tunnel syndrome, but there is no clear evidence of benefit
So, a question comes to my mind if books are material things, they can not speak, they can not do anything to you, they just lay on the table, then how they can influence your life sometimes so much? They are all written by humans. But the interesting thing actually is, that in his lifetime, human being is the smartest on this planet and can make big things, but this is all transient. Humans die. But if human creates something, for example, a book, then it may live centuries. Books are like the continuation of the book writers life. Human's mind can forget, but if the book is in the bookshelf and your name is on the cover, then it will not disappear anywhere. You may "live" thousands of years. The thing what changes everything, is the content of the book. There may be a lot of rubbish between the covers, but also intriguing stories. The book is a good way of expressing your thoughts and feelings

Using a swear word to emphasize something is often necessary as it shows how people really feel about things Secondly, swearing can be also quite beneficial. It can be a a useful substitute to physical violence as swearing often frees people from anger or frustation.Swear words can also be used in a more positive manner, in the form of jokes and humor, storytelling, self-deprecation or even social commentary. If one may want to emphasize how great one feels something is, a swear words emphasizes the positive feelings you have for that object, situation, person or event ("This concert is fucking awesome!"). Sure, one could just say "This concert is awesome," but the addition of the swear word emphasizes the emotional reaction we have toward it -- and easily conveys that emotional reaction to others (psychcentral.com/blog/archives/2009/03/30/why-do-we-swear)
