Chocolate addiction Anete Samelselg 2015 What is this addiction A person who is addicted to chocolate is called chocoholic. A chocoholic is a person who craves chocolate. There is some medical evidence to support the existence of actual addiction to chocolate. However, the term is mostly used loosely or humorously to describe a person who is inordinately fond of chocolate. The chocolate addiction happens mostly with women because they eat more emotionally than men. Why do people get addicted to it The essential components of addiction are intense craving for something, loss of control over the use of it, and continued use despite negative consequences. Studies have shown that people can exhibit all three of these components in relation to food, particularly food that contains sugar or fat

Mindstorms centre (fun-based learning), Duplo Gardens (for smaller children), Driving area (including attractions such as Driving school, Boating school, Ballooning school and Fire Academy), My Town, Wild Woods and Knight's Kingdom. The parks' rides are all Lego themed; many are made to appear as if they are built out of Lego bricks. They tend to be based on one particular line of Lego: for example, a popular ride at all four parks is the Dragon Coaster, which is loosely based on the Knights' Kingdom Lego sets. Another popular ride is the Driving school, in which children can drive small electric cars made to look like Lego cars around a small road network, after which they gain a mock driving license. The exact set of rides varies between parks, although as with the Disney parks there is some overlap. Legoland in Billund, Denmark, is the largest and the oldest. It is divided in 8 different worlds: Duplo Land, ImaginationZone, LEGOREDO

Setu women were extremely fond of silver ornaments: on their chest they wore a conical brooch, in addition to various silver chains. Traditionally, the large setu brooch was only worn by women of child-bearing age; nowadays older women, too, use it as a decoration. and structures for datagram encapsulation. The structure of the Internet The Internet is basically a hierarchy that allows any Internet connected device in one geographic location, talk to another Internet connected device in another geographic location. The way that the information is transmitted varies greatly, and in some countries, wireless ham radios are even used to transmit email. Keep in mind that the word "connected" is used very loosely here. The Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Model The seven open systems interconnection layers (OSI) are a staple of most networking textbooks. The idea is that a network will work on many different levels, or "layers" each of which will perform a supporting function for the next layer. OSI Model Internet packets, or Internet datagrams An Internet protocol packet, or datagram, is a morcel of information that is sent out on the net.

" In this way most of the reforms were attempts to awaken and regenerate the human spirit rather than to prescribe particular and concrete movements which were to be fostered. The transcendentalists were, for instance, among the early advocates of the enfranchisement of women. Ultimately, despite these practical manifestations, transcendentalism was an epistemology, a way of knowing, and the ultimate characteristics which tied together the frequently contradictory beliefs of the loosely formed group called "The Transcendentalists" was the belief that man can intuitively transcend the limits of the senses and of logic and receive directly higher truths and greater knowledge denied to the mundane methods of knowing. Among the most famous of the transcendental leaders, in addition to Emerson, Thoreau and Alcott were Margaret Fuller, George Ripley, F.H. Hedge, James Freeman Clark, Elizabeth Peabody, Theodore Parker, Jones Very, and W.H. Channing. But the
INUIT). There are five main Inuit language dialects in Canada, Inuvialuktun, Inuinnaqtun, Inuttitut, Inuttitut, and Inuttut that are collectively known as Inuktitut or Inuttituut. (see NATIVE PEOPLE, LANGUAGES) In the last census 32 580 people or reported Inuktitut as their mother tongue (first language learned). Traditionally, the Inuit were hunters and gatherers who moved seasonally from one camp to another. Large regional groupings were loosely separated into smaller seasonal groups: winter camps (called "bands") of around 100 people and summer hunting groups of fewer than a dozen. Each band was roughly identified with a locale and named accordingly - eg, the Arvirtuurmiut of Boothia Peninsula were called "baleen whale-eating people." During roughly 4000 years of human history in the Arctic, the appearance of new people has brought continual cultural change. The ancestors of the present-day Inuit, who are culturally
against the side. For her, this was always a blissful time of day. She knew he didn't want to speak much until the first drink was finished, and she, on her side, was content to sit quietly, enjoying his company after the long hours alone in the house. She loved to luxuriate in the presence of this man, and to feel - almost as a sunbather feels the sun - that warm male glow that came out of him to her when they were alone together. She loved him for the way he sat loosely in a chair, for the way he came in a door, or moved slowly across the room with long strides. She loved intent, far look in his eyes when they rested in her, the funny shape of the mouth, and especially the way he remained silent about his tiredness, sitting still with himself until the whiskey had taken some of it away. "Tired darling?" "Yes," he said. "I'm tired," And as he spoke, he did an unusual thing. He lifted his glass and

Digitally recorded interviews were typically held in cafes, restaurants or guesthouses, often several days after first meeting and continuing to socialise with the participant. In line with Stebbins’ (1997) description of lifestyle as a guide for exploratory ethnographic interviews, I sought to understand patterns within the social practices of the participants, and the ways they explain and justify these behaviours. Interviews averaged in length from 45 min to two hours and were loosely based around the life narratives of the participants, focusing on aspects of their lives before and during their backpacking, as well as their future aspirations. 6 Participants often went to great lengths to explain why they travel as a lifestyle choice. The narratives of participants in India and Thailand were remarkably consistent.
•Automated business processes, products, and software systems need to evolve in „e-Time“. •Everything must be changeable, extensible, adaptable. •Quality is an important issue. Architectural consequences of these requirements: •Software should not be designed as monolithic unit but partitioned into composableservices that can be spontaneously connected and orchestrated by business/technical processes (component-based software). •„Software entropy“should be maximized: loosely coupling between peers, decentralized information access, reflective approaches (Just-in-Time Integration). •Software must be e-enabled. Application Partioning •Solutions consist of collections of components. •Components are divided into multiple packages. •Packages can work with each other across a network through ObjectRequestBroker(ORB). •This application partitioning is transparent to the component developer. 3. Confection/Non-oil Sunflower Characteristics Confection sunflower seeds are normally black with white stripes and approximately five eighths of an inch long. The heavy hull accounts for approximately half the weight of the seed and is loosely fixed to the kernel inside. Seed size is primarily affected by plant genetics, but also to planting density and weather. Sunflower seeds are graded according to size and separated into groups. The largest size will go into the in-shell market. The medium-sized seeds are usually hulled for the kernel market. The smallest size will go into the bird and pet feeding market. While exploring the multilevel cultural clashes between the European settlers and the Native Americans, Cooper creates some acculturated natives and whites, who enter a middle ground between the conflicting cultures and, while retaining their own cultural identities, appropriate the best elements of each other's culture. The Song of Hiawatha is an 1855 epic poem, in trochaic tetrameter, by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, featuring an Indian hero. It is loosely based on the legends and ethnography of the Ojibwe (Chippewa, Anishinaabeg) and other Native American peoples as contained in Algic Researches (1839) and additional writings by Henry Rowe Schoolcraft, an ethnographer and United States Indian agent. In sentiment, scope, overall conception, and many particulars, Longfellow's poem is very much a work of American Romantic literature, not a representation of Native American oral tradition

If you try to push the South poles together, they repel each other. Two North poles also repel each other. Turn one magnet around and the North (N) and the South (S) poles are attracted to each other. The magnets come together with a strong force. Just like protons and electrons, opposites attract. These special properties of magnets can be used to make electricity. Moving magnetic fields can pull and push electrons. Some metals, like copper have electrons that are loosely held. They can be pushed from their shells by moving magnets. Magnets and wire are used together in electric generators. 7.4 Batteries produce electricity A battery produces electricity using two different metals in a chemical solution. A chemical reaction between the metals and the chemicals frees more electrons in one metal than in the other. One end of the battery is attached to one of the metals; the other end is attached to the other metal

It exhibits the roots of those weaknesses we have come to regard as characteristic of what is loosely called "the German philosophy." It refuses to face reality (witness the wholly subjectivistic character of knowledge); it unduly stresses the ego (witness the inner and autonomous character of knowledge and morality); it proclaims the perfectibility of the will, upon which the followers of Kant were soon to harp most strongly and from Nietzsche to Hitler we are to hear of "the will to power," the will which makes "the superman" and "the master race."
While breeders might prefer certain pedigree black cats to have vivid orange eyes, in the general cat population black cats can also have green or yellow eyes. HOW EYES GET THEIR COLOUR There are two major factors that influence feline eye colour: iris pigmentation and blue refraction. The iris has 2 layers containing pigment-producing cells (melanocytes). The outer layer is the stroma, consisiting of consists of loosely arranged cells. Underneath the stroma is the epithelium which contains tightly packed cells. Both the stroma and epithelium produce pigment, but in different amounts. The pigmentation of the iris is caused by melanin and the colour ranges from lemon yellow to hazel to deep orange or brown. In addition to this, the "transparent" structures of cats' eyes absorb and refract light much like a sheet of glass. Viewed head on, glass appears colourless but viewed edge-on it is greenish or bluish. The

Implicative relations 167 communicator's abilities and preferences" (p. 612). This is the relevance theo- rists' rival to Grice's Cooperative Principle (CP). And they argue that the two theories make different predictions. For example, we constantly say things that are not strictly true and are known by both speaker and hearer to be not true, but without being perceived as flouting the Maxim of Truthfulness. We speak loosely; for example, using the noun "record" to include musical tapes and compact discs; and exaggeration is ubiquitous.8 But utterances of those kinds do not normally initiate Gricean reasoning, as in "Hmmm, she has flouted the Maxim of Truthfulness. Is it sarcasm? Or maybe she's indicat- ing that she's not allowed to talk about this . . . ." We do not even tacitly notice such violations. Wilson and Sperber suggest that hearers' expectations
respected authority on these subjects for the group. Mrs. Keech, though, was the center of attention and activity. Earlier in the year she had begun to receive mes- sages from spiritual beings, whom she called the Guardians, located on other plan- ets. It was these messages, flowing through Marian Keech's hand via the device of "automatic writing," that formed the bulk of the cult's religious belief system. The teachings of the Guardians were loosely linked to traditional Christian thought. The transmissions from the Guardians, always the subject of much discussion and interpretation among the group, gained new significance when they began to foretell of a great impending disaster-a flood that would begin in the Western Hemisphere and eventually engulf the world. Although the cultists were under- standably alarmed at first, further messages assured them that they and all those
the character's dire situation. Audience members making strong identification with a character in trouble will make the wish themselves, desiring the hero to be happy, triumphant, or free, and getting themselves in alignment with the forces polarizing the story. Spoken or not, the story hears the wish, seemingly attracted by the intense emotion contained in it. Carl Jung had a motto carved above his door, "Vocatus atque non vocatus, deus aderit," which loosely translated means "Summoned or not, 304 STORIES A R E ALIVE the god will come." In other words, when the emotional conditions are right, when the need is great, there is an inner cry for change, a spoken or unspoken wish that calls the story and the adventure into being. T h e story's response to the human wish is often to send a messenger, some
Sometimes cryptanalysis is called codebreaking; this includes solving ciphers. The original intelligible text that emerges from either decipherment or cryptanalysis is again called plaintext. Messages sent without encipherment are cleartext or in clear, though they are sometimes called in plain language. Cryptology is the science that embraces cryptography and cryptanalysis, but the term "cryptology" sometimes loosely designates the entire dual field of both rendering signals secure and extracting information from them. This broader field has grown to include many new areas; it encompasses, for example, means to deprive the enemy of information obtainable by studying the traffic patterns of radio messages, and means of obtaining information from radar emissions. An outline of this larger field, with its opposing parts placed opposite one another, and with a few of the methods of each part given in
