Although it comes with the cost of losing the identity of smaller nations. Problems of 21th century city The cities of the 21th century are the biggest mankind has created besides incorporating newest technological innovations, however, even despite all the advanced technological applications, modern metropolises have many of the same problems as cities 200 years ago. Only this time around these issues are even greater due to the size of cities, so what are the two biggest problems? One of them is most likely going to be overpopulation, which is inevitable due to the overall growth of the human population and urbanisation. However, that is not all, as pollution levels are on the rise and with like everything else, the bigger the city, the bigger the problem. These
