She knows Russian, Estonian, English and German as well. Alice is very helpful and nice person. She always gives the impression of educated and sensible person at any situation, what she has been ever got. She always finds the right way out of the situation. In fact, I would go as far as to say that she is so energetic person, that your company will need no more workers. Sometimes it seems, that is capable to do thousands doings at the same time. The one her drawback is `hurry sickness`. She is always in a great hurry, even if it is not necessary. Even at school we had such cases, when she was like `in hurry`. She was always first, when we pass our essays or tests, or read poems by heart etc. This is not really the drawback, but sometimes it tires her out. For the reasons I have given I have no hesitation in supporting her by this application for the job. I believe that Alice would make a good impression on you.

Conventional medicine has little to learn from alternative medicine

Conventional medicine has little to learn from alternative medicine

In our modern world more and more people look for alternative medicine instead of taking conventional treatment. Which of these treatments is better or can they both be used effectively in different cases? It is generally understood that when having a severe condition or an emergency, conventional treatment is strongly needed. For example, in a case of a heart attack or a severed limb, it is vital to find a way to a hospital or surgeon in a hurry. Unlike alternative medicine, conventional medicine has proven effectiveness and is scientifically based, while alternative medicine has a lack of scientific basis and its results are not always consistent. On the other hand, alternative medicine is better when having relatively mild condition, such as headaches, then a doctor would probably write out pain killers. Not much help in the long term. Alternative medicine is also the last chance, when having an untreatable condition, like cancer

Advantages and disadvantages of fast food

Why do we eat fast food? Perhaps it's the cheapest and fastest or is it the most tasteful? Answer of this question is in your head. People eat fast food for many different reasons, maybe because it's the fastest, the easiest and almost cheapest food. I think this is the main reason why people do it. One of the biggest advantages of fast food is that a restoran, who sells fast food, has a restoran in every corner. If you want to eat something, you are in a hurry, then you just jump in to fast food restoran and problem solved. But still why isn't fast food good? Easiest explanation it is fast food. It's too fatty, it's not healthy and it's making you fat- if you eat it too often. Some people even says it's like a poision for you body. If you choose fast food, you mast have pretty good reason why you chose it. It's not good for you. Better believe it-choose always food which is better for your healthy. You want

margarine made of vegetable fat, which is not heavy and creamy. I don't eat jam at breakfast, I eat marmalade which is not sweet, there is slight bitterness; it's rather pleasant for my taste. I usually don't have substantial breakfast on weekdays; I do it on weekends when I get up late. Very often I have just some tea or coffee with sandwiches. Tea is usually taken by me with milk. I also like very strong tea without sugar. Sometimes, when I am in a hurry, I don't have time to have proper breakfast and I go to school being hungry. In such case I usually buy something like "Snickers" or "Mars" on my way to school. But I keep in mind that breakfast helps learning, as you are better able to pay attention and are more interested in learning. So I try not to skip breakfast too often.

Advantages and disadvantages of living in the countryside

The places where people live affects greatly in their lifestyles and living places is one of the very basic needs for people. Firstly you are fit and you don't need to worry about your health condition, because in the countryside the air and water are so clean. Another additional advantage is that there aren't any huge blocks of flats, modern skyscrapers or bothersome traffic jams. Living in the country is slower. People don't need to hurry and have a lot of time. The living cost in a country side is much lesser than that of a city. Most important advantage of living in the city is that it provides better education and career prospects. People in the cities are always under pressure and stress, they always have to be up to date with technologies and there is no time to relax. People suffer from many health problems that live in city and especially they suffer a lot in the old ages

Idiom story

Sally woke up in the morning; she looked at the clock and realized that she has been late to the work. She shook a leg - took a shower, grabbed a sandwich, hopped into her car and drove away. Then she almost ran over a stranger man. She braked the car and blew the horn. Then she realized that it was Michael, a nice handsome guy from the beach party at last weekend. If it's not one thing, it's another. She stooped out of the car window to apologize. She had to hurry but wanted to be nice and polite. She said, "Sorry, Michael I didn't noticed you, are you okay?" "Yes, but I will be better if you'll come out with me tonight, would you?" asked Michael. "Sure!" "Well, then I'll come and pick you up at 7pm!" Then Sally drove away, thinking about what she had done. She promised yesterday to her 10-years old daughter that she will watch a movie with her and now Sally didn't know what to do, her agreeing was just a slip of the tongue.

A short story

The interview started at 9.00am. I woke up in the morning because I heard a door bell and wondered who could come so early. I saw my neighbour standing at the door holding a newspaper. ,,You always come at 8 o'clock. What are you doing here so early?" I asked. She raised her eyebrows, felt really confused and said she had come as usual. I glanced at my watch and understood that my alarm clock hadn't rang. My job interview would start in one hour and I had to hurry on a bus. Half an hour later I was in the bus station and felt relieved because I had still 5 minutes until my bus came. So I waited and looked at the timetable and saw that the bus drove every working day except that day. ,,Oh, great," I said ironically. I wanted to call a taxi, but found out that I had left my phone at home while I was rushing around. Fortunately, my friend lived nearby, so I rushed to her house. When I arrived, she said her

describes a recent trip to the country during which he passed up an opportunity to seduce and defile an innkeeper's innocent daughter. This whole thing doesn't happen. Instead Dorian says goodbye to Gladis and goes to London. Gladis meets with David (who has a crush on her) and Harry. Davis tunnistab üles that he broke into the room upstairs of Dorian's house. He saw nothing but a gross painting by Basil there. Gladys receives a letter which implies that Dorian is going to kill himself. They hurry to London only to find the painting in a perfect order and Dorian dead and really ugly.(book: servants hear a cry and break into the room) That night, Dorian goes to the locked room to look at his portrait. He hopes his decision to amend his life will have changed the painting, and he considers that perhaps his decision not to ruin the innkeeper's daughter's reputation will be reflected in the painted face. Remember that police officers often stay hidden from view while looking for speeders. If you're caught driving too fast, they won't hesitate to give you a ticket. 2. 2 Let others pass you. Defensive driving means letting others go ahead-not defending your position in traffic. Avoid the urge to be a vigilante ("Oh yeah? Let me show you what it's like to be cut off like that!") Accept the fact that someone is always going to think they're in more of a hurry than you. These are the drivers you want to move far away from, not to 'teach them a lesson.' 3 3 Try to avoid driving in bad weather. Always keep your windshield wipers going in the rain or snow. Defrost your windshield to keep it from fogging up. Turn on your headlights to help others to see you--this is also the law in some states. If possible, try to avoid driving in the snow at all, especially if your car is rear wheel drive

The idiom "get a move on" is said when a character called Villian asks another character called Sam to hurry because they are late for a party and Sam hasn't put his costume on. Villian tells him to get ready for the party so they won't have to waste more time. Conclusion As result of my reasearch, the hypothesis was cofirmed. looks most spectacular at night when the clock faces are illuminated. You even know when parliament is in session, because a light shines above the clock face. The name Big Ben actually refers not to the clock-tower itself, but to the thirteen ton bell in it. The four dials of the clock are 23 feet square, the minute hand is 14 feet long and the figures are 2 feet high. During the business hours the streets of the City are full of people. Everybody seems to be in a hurry. At other times, they are empty. The Londoners only work in the City. They live in other parts of the town, but still about 10000 people have a home there. Westminster Abbey is a big church in the centre of London, where many famous writers and scientists are buried. The underground railway called the Tube connects the centre with all parts of London. The East End lies in the eastern part of London and is mainly populated by factory workers and craftsmen

– No, not yet. 6 In a positive statement, still and already usually go in mid position, like adverbs of degree and frequency. I sent her an e-mail a week ago, and am still waiting for a reply. You don’t have to tell me that horrible news, I already know. Still can be used in a negative statement, where it goes before haven’t, can’t, etc. It’s nearly bed-time, and you still haven’t finished your homework. (Hurry up!) Alison is fifteen and she still can’t swim. (High time to learn!) Still is more emotional than yet. It usually expresses surprise or anger at the fact that something is taking longer than expected. Rita hasn’t booked our holiday yet. (neutral – it’s OK; there’s still plenty of time) Rita still hasn’t booked our holiday. (emotional – soon it may be too late!) In a question still and already usually go after the subject.

battle. "Now really, your old man hasn't changed at all, now has he?" laughed Daemon and hugged Alice. She didn't resist, considering it normal amongst brother and a sister. Soon the real competition started. After announcing another time-out, Matrix made an offer to have dinner. After all, they were performing near the end. Everyone agreed and so the five youngsters moved toward entrance. In the middle of the meal, a schoolgirl entered the cafeteria. She seemed to be in a hurry searching for someone. Finally, she spotted Alice and ran to her. "Hi! I'm Renate from the Space Dolls! You know, Sheila wanted to see you saying this was immediate!" Alice said she'd be off for a couple of minutes and left with Renate. "So, what's the matter?" she asked her friend once they reached the band. Everybody seemed upset and Sheila looked almost crying! "Hey, Sheila, what's the matter? Something happened?" "It's over!" "What is?" "The Space Dolls...My dream..." "What do you mean?"

many dear ones to me. And I am truly sorry for not writing this letter sooner, but, to be honest, I had suffered loneliness for so long, that, eventually, I had forgotten my name. If you don't mind, I'd gladly come over someday soon and accept my lucky duty as your priestess, and, perhaps, even as a friend. Best wishes, Misery She enveloped the letter and called a servant. "Susanna, take this letter to Her Majesty," she said, "and tell her to hurry with the answer, I can't stay in this dark tower much longer." Susanna smiled and bowed her curly red-haired head. She was very happy to join the rest of the castle again. After eating the candy, Misery felt very tired. But instead of heading to the bedroom, she opened her wide white wings and flew out to the royal park. The day was warm and sunny; in the gardens many flowers had started their colourful blooming, decorating tasteless gravy castle walls.

[Tom turns the handle of the jack from right to left; the car comes slowly down, down, too far down; it leans towards me.] Confound it! TOM: What is the matter? I: The wretched spare tyre is flat too. TOM: Bad luck. Never mind, perhaps we can pump it up. Give me the pump. Let's see what we can do. MARY: Do hurry up, dear. We don't want to miss the news-reel. I: You'll miss the whole show if this tyre won't pump up. [Tom works hard and the tyre becomes hard. We take the pump off and start off.] MARY: You have been a long time. We shall miss the cartoon as well as the news-reel. I: We have been as quick as we could. Do you imagine we were playing there in the mud for fun? Jesus's wounds when he was crucified, and therefore Marat seems like a hero dying for a noble cause. Moreover, with depicting Marat as Christ, although David himself and Marat were both atheists, Jacques-Louis David in a way creates a new religion, praising the social reformers of the French Revolution. (Rosenblum, Woldermar-Jansen, 1984, p.30) In 1793 David gave a speech while presenting The death of Marat, where he calls citizens to honor and praise Marat: "Hurry, all of you! Mothers, widows, orphans, oppressed soldiers, all whom he defended at the risk of his life, approach and contemplate your friend; he who was so vigilant is no more; his pen, the terror of traitors, his pen has slipped from his hand! Grieve! Our tireless friend is dead. He died giving you his last crust of bread; he died without even the means to pay for his funeral.
