English in Oxford. My English has gone much more better. Now I have less grammatical mistakes in speech and in writing. I learned about the British educational system and I saw the most important places in Southern Brittain. I also made some new friends in Oxford. We promised to each other to exchange some postcards and write letters. They are really outgoing and friendly. I hope I can come to Oxford in the next year. My languages I love different languages. I mean, I really, really love different languages. I also believe and have been told that I pick them up rather easily. That might be true, although I did not pick any Greek up in Greece but that might have been because they spoke so damn fast that I could not tell if it was a word or an entire sentence. The first foreign language I learned was Russian. Considering I was ten when Estonia became a Republic, it makes sense. We began studying Russian in first grade, though it was simplified – "koška" instead of "kot", "medvešonok" instead of "medved", "saichik" etc. Did not make much sense and we mostly played some games in Russian (Tare-tareke etc). Learned as much playing outside, since we had Estonian-Russian kids around as well. Not that we played with them. It's sad to say but it was not a nice time to be a Russian kid. My name is Rihard. I am a 16-year-old (male) student in Nõo highschool. Currently I live in Nõo, where I am studying in 10 grade. I come from Ranna, compared to Nõo, Ranna is a very small place approximately 1,000 inhabitants. I come from a family of 5: My parents, Pille and Raigo, my mother is self-employed and runs a small tourist lodge in Ranna, my father is Head teacher in Alatskivi high school. I have one sister and one brother. My sister Aurelia, is 3 years old and is going to kinder garden. My brother Rasmus is 12 years old, and is in sixth grade in Pala primary school. After finishing highschool I plan to go to Estonian Aviation Academy, but I am yet to make up my mind concerning my future area of specialization. So, at the moment, I would like to take some time out of academics to have a different life experience, and to have time to calmly reflect on my future academic/professional orientation. To this end, I think spending a year abroad would be particularly interesting
