I´m going to write you about my easter. In this year was my easter quiet. All family was home and we enjoyed to be together. I colured eggs in the Saturday evening with my mother. It was so much fun. We used the special colour and the eggs came very nice. In the evening we also made a delicious cake, what we could ate in Sunday morning. Our home was also decoration. Instead of a skirt, the Setu women wore a garment resembling the Russian sarafan. Setu women were extremely fond of silver ornaments: on their chest they wore a conical brooch, in addition to various silver chains. Traditionally, the large setu brooch was only worn by women of child-bearing age; nowadays older women, too, use it as a decoration. The men of the southeast wore their shirts loosely on their pants with a belt, similar to the Russian tradition. North Estonia This region was relatively unified and prone to modernisation. Ta moko is the art of traditional Maori tattooing, done with a chisel. Carving was done in three media: wood, bone, and stone. Arguably ta moko was another form of carving. First chapter talks about folk art and handicraft in general and is divided into two subchapters. First subchapter talks about the meaning of handicraft in past. Handicraft in past was very important for Estonians, because this was the only way to get clothes and tools. The main decoration for things were ornaments, which often had a certain meaning. The second subchapter talks about handicraft today. It came out that nowadays many young people do not deal with handicraft at all. Also using ornaments as decoration has fallen. While keeping that in mind she drew four sketches, each with different designs. Then she chose three of her favorites, combined them and got the final sketch. For making the dress, the designer uses three different fabrics, a hidden zipper, organza band and handmade flowers for decoration. Stiili levik seostub Thomas Hope’ga, kes 1807.aastal avaldas raamatu „Household Furniture and Interior Decoration“.
