DAYDREAM
I was kayaking across the ocean, when I realised I had come to a foreign land. Upon reaching the shore, I got out of my kayak and went exploring… I was walking on the beach when I suddenly noticed a tiny house in the middle of nowhere. The windows were broken and the door was open . It was made of wood and in a really bad condition. I saw the smoke coming from the chimney. I walked , scared, towards the tiny house, I was afraid to go in but I still entered. The house was really dusty. I was looking around , when suddenly a door appeared. I opened it and i was pulled in. The stair steps appeared one after another . I was really confused and at that moment I wished I had never got out of my kayak. I was walking down, when suddenly the stair steps started to get warmer and warmer. My legs couldn’t handle the heat , so I started running. The steps behind me began to explode and I ran fast down the stairs.
I looked around and I noticed a little creature standing next to me. It was really short and green . The creature turned its head to me and said:” Hello , who are you?” I was so shocked, I was speechless. The creature continued to talk :”Well, I’m Bob. I am a Kafrologian and I have been
living here for 652 years . But who are you?” I was so stunned I just stutterd some words :” I.. am.. Olaf , I’m from Orlando.” Bob said:”Come, I’ll show you the village .” Olaf:”Okay.” and they went through a tunnel.
The village was very sweet and everywhere were tiny houses , decorated with flowers. While we were walking along the path, a friend of Bob came to us. He was also very tiny and green. While they were talking I looked around. After a few minutes we went to Bobs house. The door was very small so I needed to worship to get inside. Bob’s house was very nice . He went to the kitchen to make some tea. At the same time I went to the living room and sat on the couch. While I was looking around Bob came with a teapot and two teacups. He poured me some tea. It tasted very good . After a few minutes I was feeling very sleepy and I fell of the couch. At this moment I woke up and realised it was just a dream .

A lamb to the slaughter

Lamb to the Slaughter by Roald Dahl (1916-1990) The room was warm and clean, the curtains drawn, the two table lamps alight - hers and the one by the empty chair opposite. On the sideboard behind her, two tall glasses, soda water, whiskey. Fresh ice cubes in the Thermos bucket. Mary Maloney was waiting for her husband to come him (correction: home) from work. Now and again she would glance up at the clock, but without anxiety, merely to please herself with the thought that each minute gone by made it nearer the time when he would come. There was a slow smiling air about her, and about everything she did. The drop of a head as she bent over her sewing was curiously tranquil. Her skin - for this was her sixth month with child - had acquired a wonderful translucent quality, the mouth was soft, and the eyes, with their new placid look, seemed larger darker than before. When the clock said ten minutes to five, she began to listen, and a few moments later, punctually as always, she hear

Sylvia Day Bared to You Sylvia Day Bared to You The first book in the Crossfire series, 2012 This one is for Dr. David Allen Goodwin. My love and gratitude are boundless. Thank you, Dave. You saved my life. Acknowledgments My deepest gratitude to my editor, Hilary Sares, who really dug into this story and made me work for it. Basically, she kicked my ass. By not pulling her punches or letting me shortchange the details, she made me work harder and because of that, this story is a much, much better book. BARED TO YOU wouldn't be what it is without you, Hilary. Thank you so much! To Martha Trachtenberg, copy editor extraordinaire. This book is an important one for me and she treated it that way. Thank you, Martha! To Victoria Colotta, for all her hard work on the i

Kordamine inglise keele eksamiks A 1.1 Read the text and answer the questions below. Dear Mary-Alice, It's been ages since I last wrote to you, isn't it weird? Yes, so it is, but, I do have a certain reason. Do you remember Sir Thom of the Minquettes'? That fine young man with fascinating blue eyes... Oh, my sweet Mary, you will never guess what happened yesterday! It was about seven o'clock in the evening when Lillian called me out for a walk you know I can't say `no' to my little sis. Anyway we went to the forest near the Swan Lake and, believe it or not, got lost! Awful! I was so scared... We walked and walked, not even knowing the direction we were heading to, until we reached a huge mansion. And the garden around it was so extraordinary... That is something you just must see! But neither the trees nor flowers could be as wonderful as the owner himself! Sir Thom treated us tea and sandwiches, not forgetting to show us way back to the village. He was so kind, don't you think?

The New Beginning II

The New Beginning II Morning came yet there was no happiness on the surface. The young man had no idea what to do next after all, he was one of the Royal Soldiers, not a babysitter. The child on his arms seemed so helpless...so innocent... And then he decided something that a few hours ago he`d never do: he will keep the child and raise it to be a worthy worrior who`d once destroy all of the ishues and free this country from the Demons. And so, the baby still asleep, he left the ruins of what was called a city once and moved towards east, where the Royal Palace was situated. By midday he finally reached the White Wall, where was a secret entrance to the Palace`s main hall. The gate keepers waved sleepily when he passed them. The young man decided not to disturb them so he went on in total silence. Soon he reached the main hall, but his leader, captain Jacques, wasn't there as he had expected. "Well, now that is quite problematic..."he claime
