Gerard Genette, ,,Narrative Discourse" Resümee Niinimetatud "narratiivi perspektiivi", mida on alates 19. sajandist väga sagedasti uuritud, lahkab ka Gerard Genette, kelle arvates enamik teoreetilisi töid ajab segamini mooduse(mood) ja hääle(voice), nimetades neid kokku kui lihtsalt "vaatepunkt" ja alahinnates sellega nende eristatavust. Genette eristab kaks instantsi: Kes näeb ? (vaatepunkt, fokalisatsioon) ja Kes räägib? (jutustamine). "Kes näeb?" küsimuse tarvis võtab kasutusele abstraktse termini fokalisatsioon (focalization)- ,,jutustamise fookus" ning jagab selle kolmeks eri tüübiks: 1) Nullfokalisatsioon ehk mittefokaliseeritud: Jutustaja > Tegelane; "piirangut pole" Kõikvõimas jutustaja, kes teab rohkem kui Tegelane, täpsemini: ütleb rohkem, kui tegelased teavad; nn vaade tagantpoolt. (klassikaline tüüp) 2) Sisemine (intra-) fokalisatsioon: Jutustaja = Tegelane; "piirang on sisemine...

English literature is one of the oldest literatures in Europe; dates back to the 6th century AD. Oral literature, i.e. not written down, spread from person to person. In 449 AD Anglo-‐Saxon tribes invaded England – beginning of the Anglo-‐Saxon period in English literature. The first form of literature was folklore, carried by scops and gleemen, who sang in alliterative verse (a kind of simple poetry). Prose developed much later. The first form of recorded English literature was the epic Beowulf, which was produced sometime near the end of the 7th and beginning of the 8th century. It has no ...

In this work we tried to make a revision on the vision of Larkin through the studies that had been made on him, and on the basis of it we can say, that the voice of ...

1. Todorovi "Poeetika" - kirjanduslik diskursus ja selle analüüs Kõrvutab poeetikat interpretatsiooni ja teadusega. Poeetika peab tegelema “kirjanduslikkusega”. Järgib vormikoolkonna lähenemist. Poeetika ja interpretatsioon täiendavad teineteist. Interpr. on teose mõtte eksplitseerimine. Toob sisse diskursuse mõiste, mis on poeetika objektiks. Tähelepanu keskmes pole immanentne tekstianalüüs; T. ütleb, et parim immanentne analüüs on tekst ise. Tekst on abstraktse struktuuri realiseerimine. Poeetika tegeleb abstraktse struktuuri, diskursusega. Vastandab story – discourse nagu faabula – süžee (vrd. Chatman: story – plot). Poeetika ülesanne on selgitada välja tekstiloome mehhanismide universaalsed seaduspärad. Geneetiline strukturalism on taotlus luua üldist mudelit, millele alluksid kõik tekstid. (Greimas “Struktuurne semantika”) Üksiktekst on T. jaoks näite staatuses, illustreerib üldisi seaduspärasusi. Poeetika objektiks on kirjanduse d...

1. Kuidas tuleks mõista sõna ,,kirjandus"? Mille poolest eristub ilukirjanduslik tekst teistest tekstidest? Kirjandus on kõige üldisemas tähenduses) kirjutatud tekstid, mis on üldreeglina mõeldud kellelegi lugemiseks, mõistmiseks, kasutamiseks (ajaleheartiklid, teadustööd); on kultuurinähtus ja kommunikatsioonivahend. Kirjandus on alati seotud keelega, tavaliselt kirjalik, ilukirjandus kuulub kunstisfääri, kus (a) printsiibid on ette antud (tanka; haiku; kuldlõige; van Gogh) või (b) printsiibid sünnivad tinglike kokkulepete tulemusena (vabavärss, piltluule, DuChamp). Ilukirjandus on lisaks seotud kunstilise fenomineiga (esteetilised, poeetilised vm funktsioonid), mis tekib kommunikatsioonisituatsioonis. Kuna ilukirjandus kuulub kunstisfääri, on selge et see on tehtud (techné), iseloomulik on fiktsionaalsus, spetsiifika sõltumine keelelisest olemusest (luule vs romaan), aktiveertiakse keele poeetiline funkstioo...
