Land Art

LAND ART Maastikukunsti mõistest Land art ehk maastikukunst on 1960-te lõpus ja 1970-te alguses esile kerkinud kunstivorm, mille algne tegevusala hõlmas peamiselt (loodus) keskkonda. Kunstiteoste loomiseks kasutatakse tihti kive, puitu, pinnast, taimi ja muid looduslike materjale. Loodud kunstiteosed on enamasti ajutised, sest nad rajatakse välialadele ja nad kestavad kuni loomuliku lagunemiseni. Maastikukunst põhineb installatsioonidel ja on tihti tihedalt seotud keskkonnaga, kuhu nad rajatakse. Kuigi oluline on teose füüsiline tajumine, näeb enamus publikust (ajalikke) töid ikkagi vaid (ajatute) fotode vahendusel. Taiesed on tihtipeale olnud suuremõõtkavalised, mis on üks kunstivoolu suhteliselt suure populaarsuse põhjuseks kunstnike seas antud kunstivorm on andnud kunstnikele võimaluse teostada suuremaid töid, kui kui üheski galeriis mugavalt eksponeerida saaks ( Wikipedia , Land art). Funktsionalism Funktsionalism on 1920. aastail arhitektuuris, tööstus- ja tarbekunstis tekkinud suund. Funktsionalismi rajajaks oli Sveitsist pärit arhitekt Le Corbusier, saksa arhitekt Walter Gropius ja hollandi arhitekt Jacobus Oud. Tähtsaks keskuseks oli Walter Gropiuse poolt rajatud kunstikool Bauhaus. Funktsionalismi printsiibi kohaselt peab ehitise või eseme kujundus kajastama eelkõige tema otstarvet ehk funktsiooni (sellest tuleb suuna nimigi). Seni peamisteks peetud esteetiliste iluprintsiipide kõrval said võrdselt tähtsaks tehnilised, sotsiaalsed ja majanduslikud tegurid. Hakati vältima arhitektuurseid kaunistusi, üldilmes hakkas senisest rohkem kaasa rääkima materjali värv ja faktuur. Võeti kasutusele uued materjalid (teras, terasbetoon, klaaspinnad jne) ja konstruktsioonid (nt rippkonstruktsioon). Kujunesid uued proportsioonid (peened postid, laiad aknad jne). Pärast Teist maailmasõda on funktsio...

The Pre-Raphaelites

THE PRE-RAPHAELITES The PRB was formed in 1848 in London and it was an association of painters, poets, critics, sculptors. It was founded by three Royal Academy students who wanted to brake free from the academic art and return to the moral and descriptive truthfulness that they felt was gone from art. (The Royal Academy of Arts is and institution with a purpose to promote the creation, enjoyment and appreciation of the visual arts through exhibitions, education and debate.). The founders were William Hunt, John Millais, Dante Rossetti. Because of the fact that they were all students they were also very young- the oldest one, Hunt, was 21. They were soon joined by William Rossetti(critic), James Collison(painter), Frederic Stephens (critic), Thomas Woolner(sculptor). The three youthful Pre-Raphaelites deliberately challenged the established view of art, drawing up a manifesto of their intentions and publishi...

Funkist minimalismini

Funkist minimalismini 1. Kuidas nimetatakse 1919.a Saksamaal asutatud tööstuskunsti kooli? Bauhaus (ametlikult Staatliches Bauhaus) 2. Mille poolest vastandus 1925 esilekerkinud uus art deco stiil funktsionalistlikule stiilile? 3. The Saxons & Vikings

The Saxons & Vikings Fragmentary knowledge of England in the 5th & 6th centuries comes from the British writer Gildas, the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle, saints' lives, poetry, archaelogical findings and place- name studies. British landlords ruled small, unstable kingdoms and continued some Roman traditions of governance. In the mid-5th cent, Vertigern, a British leader, hired Germanic mercenaries to help defend against peoples of the north (Picts & Scots). In the end they revolted & the process of invasion and settlement began. The first Saxon ,,kings" were Hengist & Horsa in Kent, Aelle in Sussex, Cerdic / Cynric in Wessex. So the first ,,English" became mainly from Northern Germany & Denmark. The resistance of the Celts was long. They were free at the time, not like other Roman provinces on the Continent. Around 500, the Britons seem to have won several victories. One of their leaders was Ambrosius Aurelianus and one of...

Rahvusvahelise õiguse allikad

RAHVUSVAHELISE ÕIGUSE ALLIKAD Liigitus Õiguse allikad jagunevad formaalseteks ja materiaalseteks. Formaalses allikas esinevaid norme tuleb lugeda õigusnormideks – normid omandavad õigusjõu just tänu avaldamisele teatud vormis. Materiaalsed on allikad, milles õigusnorm tegelikult väljendub.

“You must be the change you wish to see in the world.”

12.d “You must be the change you wish to see in the world.” (Mahatma Gandhi) Mahatma Ghandi expresses that everything starts with us, our willingness to help create the world we dream of. It is unlikely that any of us will be the next Mother Teresa but every person has hidden power to do something that benefits to the society. People´s roles are nowadays as important as the next persons, even if they think that little things are insignificant and have no effect, with enough people these small things add up and make an even bigger change that any single organization or person could ever do. To be the change we want to see in the world, people do not have to be smart, rich or well educated. They need to have a dream and commitment. The problems facing the world today are great, and it will surely take the greatness of millions if not b...

RIIGIHÃœMNID

HISPAANIA RIIGIHÜMN Marcha Real ('kuninglik marss') on Hispaania riigihümn. See on üks väheseid riigihümne, millel pole sõnu. Hispaania riigihümn on üks vanemaid Euroopas.

Animals we miss today

Causes: *The main cause of animal extinction, without doubt,is human demand, either for animal resources directly, or for the natural resources of the animals' habitats. *In addition to that, there are other indirect causes caused by human activities. *Habitat loss: Is considered to be the main cause for animal extinction. Humans are clearing our forests for wood and timber. The foodchain is disturbed and animals will die. *Wildlife trade: Poaching and wildlife trade are another common threat to animals. International wildlife trade has also been linked to drugs trade. The most common anilmal trade is pet trade, such as orangutangs. Animals are also killed for fur(tigers, leopards, cheetahs) *Climate change: It has been recently suggested that warmer global temperatures may be affecting animals. In fact, it has been suggested that the golden toad became extinct because of the warmer climate. The Animals *T-REX: Tyrannosaurus rex was on...

Australia Australia is a country and also a continent. If someone wants to make clear, that he is speaking of the country, he may call it by its full name of Commonwealth of Australia. Australia's name means "southland."It is south of the equator. Sometimes it is also called the island continent because it is an island. There are about twenty million people in Australia. It is 1,800 miles from the mainland of Asia and almost half way round the world from Europe. More than 600 miles of ocean separate it from Americas. The Renaissance

The Renaissance Between 14th and 16th century in Europe From French word rebirth It was an age of growth in Europe. New, powerful city states emerged. A new middle class had more and more money to spend. Great artists, writers and thinkers lived during this time. During the Middle Ages many people who lived in the countryside worked on the land that they got from the noblemen. In return, they were protected by them Between the middle and the end of the 14th century, the plague, also called "Black Death" killed almost half of Europe's population. It spread most rapidly in the larger cities where many people lived. This led to economic depression. When the plague slowly decreased in the 15th century, the population in Europe began to grow. A new middle class emerged --bankers, merchants and trades people had a new market for their services. People became wealthier and had more than enough money to spend. They bega...
