Dear classmates, I'm going to talk about a mobile phone invention Mobile phones have brought about a dramatic change to the communication industry. The development of mobile phones has made long-distance communication a matter of seconds. The mobile phone was invented in 1973 by Dr. Martin Cooper, a Motorola employee. On April 3, 1973, the first cell phone call was made. The caller was naturally, Dr. Cooper himself. Prior to the development of mobile phones, people used two-way radios to communicate while they were mobile

The invention of telephone The telephone is one of the greatest inventions in history. Early telephones were nothing like the ones we have today. Telephone is the Greek word for "far sound." Before the invention of telephone, people used fax, postal letters and birds to communicate. Alexander Graham Bell was an eminent scientist, inventor, engineer and innovator who intented the first telephone. His mother and his wife were both deaf and that was the main reason which caused his interest to hearing devices. Bell invented the telephone by accident when he was trying to invent a device that could send more than one telegram at the same time.
The invention of the car changed the world. World is used to move unstoppably. How many of us can possibly imagine our everyday life without cars in it? We´d find it to be rather difficult. Probably the fact would blow up our day schedules and most of the plans that are made. In the olden days, a car was a poduct which was ment to be only for the rich ones. To the contrary, nowadays cars are very easily available for everyone (!).Speaking of which, it´s not much to mention that one extremely wierd and sad occasion would be that some people take advantage of haveing a car and tend to take up too high speeds for showing how tough fellows they are. Often boasting like this can cause big devastations, meaning accidents and all kinds of fines, not mentioning times, when a driver might be under influence of the alcohol, which is definitely the worst possibility of all. But that´s the world we live in ...
The most important technological invention In my mind, the most important technological invention is the jet airliner, the Boeing 707- 120, which was invented in 1958. I concidered different inventions but thought, that the ability to move from one point to another in an innoventional and extremely quick way is worth the title. The four engine plane can carry up to 181 passengers and cruise at 600 mph for 5280 miles on a full tank. This has made continetial travelling extremely comfortable, as voyages that formerly took a couple of weeks can now be passed with only 1 day or even less
The invention of the telephone The invention of the telephone is the culmination of work done by many individuals. The presumption for the development of the telephone goes back to the year 1833 were Carl Friedrich Gauss and Wilhelm Eduard Weber invented the electric transmission of signals in Göttingen which set the fundamental basis for the technology. This invention is recognized to be the first electromagnetic telegraph of the world. (The development of the modern telephone involved an array of lawsuits founded upon the patent claims of several individuals.) Some of the inventors who gave their contribution for inventing the telephone are: Innocenzo Manzetti - Innocenzo Manzetti considered the idea of a telephone as early as 1844, and may have made one in 1864. He is considered by many Italians as the inventor of the telephone.
The invention of the car changed the world People have learned to get by as comfortably as possible. They have invented all kinds of things to make their lives easier. One man in history did a big favour to all of us. That knowledgeable man was Henry Ford who invented a machine, which was called automobile. Nowadays it is known as a car. Inventing a car made our lives easier. Nowadays people can move much faster from one place to the other and it is also more comfortable. There are very many different functions of automobiles. They are used primely for transporting things and people as well. Cars are very useful for people, but not beneficial for nature. Year after year people buy more cars instead of taking a bus. Owing to this, the air pollution has been doubled up in few years. It's not only nature that gets damaged by cars. People could also get injured and some of them may even die in car accidents. Accidents ...
Technological invention a bless or a curse? Nowadays people live in a technologically advanced world, where more and more electronic gadgets are used every day. However, is technological development more of a blessing or a curse? Firstly, technology is labour-saving. Time-saving technology is always at work to help us complete tasks at home and on the job faster than ever. Secondly, the advances of technology have made our lives more comfortable. For instance, the mobile phone has made our time more flexible. Finally, communicational technology has made our life more interesting. We can now make friends with people all over the world through the Internet. However, for every plus there is a minus. The main disadvantage is that people are depending on technology too much. Most people are addicted to computer games or watching TV. Furthermore, technology has also increased various kinds of health prob...

Books have been around for a couple hunder years for now, but there aren't any remains left of the first ever books because of the rarity when the first book was realased. First books ever were written by hand and that's the reason why there were so few of them. Thanks to the invention of the printing press books became more common and accesable for everyday people. After that came the printer but the next big step up was the invention of the e-books and portable screens that could almost outweigh regular books in every aspect possible. But nothing is perfect in this world so naturaly e-books and tablets have their weaknesses, for example, battery life and portability are the main concerns when deciding to rely on them. Regular books are quite rugged, few bumps and bruses aren't going to make it unreadable, but when u drop your tablet then there's a
Family drives with a car, husband turns the car looking at the GPS directions to home. Wife shares pictures to Instagram with her iPhone and in the backseat girl is playing with her iPad and boy reads on his kindle. This is normal nowadays, because technolgy has been improved for example people can now communicate with each other much faster. It is great, although it can also harm people. Technology is serious responsibility- if people do not use an invention carefully, then it would end up the wrong way. The word „Leisure“ meaning changes in every 10 to 20 years. 50 years ago spare time was usually considered as that part of a day when people took a nap or children played with each other. Nowadays technological tools are killing off leisure time, especially for younger workers and students, who are working longer hours, taking fewer and shorter vacations but still bringing their cell phones and laptops along

„First, the word invention itself, as the exploration of salients, reverse salients; and critical problems shows, can be misleading if it connotes discontinuity. Most modern inventions seem to be a part of continuum. Invention is usually correction of a reverse salient or bringing of a system into line with salient.“ (Hughes 1992, 115) Sõna ’leiutis’ iseeneslikult on eksitav, mida on näidanud tuleviku konseptsioonid ning nende vastuolulised aspektid. Story about Invention the Soft reflector Maria Kesvatera I'm going to write about soft reflector (cat's eye). The woman who invented it was Estonian girl Karoli Hindriks. She invented soft reflector when she was 16 year old and studied in school. She got the idea to make soft reflector when she noticed little hairy toy hanging in her school bag. She thought that it would be great when these toy could sparkle. She also thougt that regular plastic reflectors were very boring. In 1999 created Karoli Hindriks student company to produce soft reflectors. I think that it is very good to have soft and beautiful reflectors because then people like to wear reflectors more and car drivers can see them better.

personal information. In addition to this, people spend too much time in front of computer screens and that causes visual illness, sickness, stress, muscular pains, etc. Furthermore, there is a lot of trash on the Internet, for example, hardware viruses that we can get through our e-mails and inappropriate material like forbidden videos that parents would not like their children to see. In conclusion, the computer is a great invention that does a huge favour for us in our everyday life, but people must know how much it is okay to use them.

Using credit cards Credit cards have been very popular for two decades already. There are many ways to pay for your shoppings and not to worry about how much money you really have. First of all, credit cards are an amazing invention because it makes our everyday-lives so much easier. We do not have to carry cash with us, we can pay by a credit card. Carrying cash is actually pretty dangerous because you can get robbed. But when your card gets stolen, you just call to the bank and they close it for any further operations. Second of all, it is comfortable and feels like somebody is taking care of your finantial business. But on the other hand, when you recieve your credit card bill at the end of the month, the reality hits

People all over world use the Internet for sending e-mails, playing games, communicating with friends, buying things and reading interesting articles or newspapers. Even in a small country like Estonia almost in every home there is at least one computer or even more. Firstly, nowadays almost every indoor vocation requires computer knowledge because all paperwork is done with a computer. Work with computer is comfortable and much easier

John Harvey Kellogg (February 26, 1852 December 14, 1943) was an American medical doctor in Battle Creek, Michigan, who ran a sanitarium using holistic methods, with a particular focus on nutrition, enemas, and exercise. Kellogg was an advocate of vegetarianism and is best known for the invention of the corn flakes breakfast cereal with his brother, Will Keith Kellogg. Kellogg was born in Tyrone, Michigan,[2] to John Preston Kellogg (18061881) and Ann Janette Stanley (18241893). John lived with two sisters during childhood. By 1860, the family had moved to Battle Creek, Michigan, where his father set up a broom factory. John later worked as a printer's devil in a Battle Creek publishing house.

There are lots of inventions being made to spare our time and make our lives easier. The invention I am going to talk about is an internet, which I find is one of the most important contraptions. However, the opinions about the computer network are very opposed. The first advantage is that internet is very easy and quick to use. Whereas uploading news to the computer network is very fast, is the internet better than TV shows or radio. Secondly is an internet the biggest infomation resource, where you can find almost anything you need. The third
most of the 20th century. Its influence can be traced in forms of rock music, country, gospel, jazz even Nigerian Juju -a style of dance music. So it included many different musicstyles and because of that it likes many different humangroups. Rhythm and Blues was started in the South, but later moved to Midwest, Northeast, and West Coast cities due to the shift in American demographics, after World War II. One of two significant developments, which occurred that had an effect on R&B was the invention of the Magnetic Tape, the other was the formation of broadcasting companies. Over the decades, thanks to different artists and their styles, R&B has evolved into what it is today. My favourite R&B aritsts are Kelly Rowland, LeToya, Beyonce, Lauryn Hill, Mario and Usher. The reason why I choosed this genre is that , when i hear this kind of music i feel that my mood gets better, it's melody is seductive and I forget all bad thingsin my mind .
High school students are often asked to write different essays, letters of reviews on topics they have been studying at school. In addition not all of them have time to deal with homework at home. So if school gave them computers, they could use their free time during breaks to do essential things for their education. Or if school allowed to take computers with them, some people could study even while travelling home. Although computers are a great technological invention for people all around the world, they might have few disadvantages for their users. Younger students might be really interfered by the number of options they can do with their computer. Most of all children have accounts in different social networks and if they are given an opportunity to feel free while using computer at school they might get carried away and forget the purpose of this device at certain lessons. Finally, there have been many complaints about plagiarism. As long as the
Electrical engineering is a field of engineering that generally deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism Info about electrical engineering This field first became an identifiable occupation in the later half of the 19th century after commercialization of the electric telegraph, the telephone, and electric power distribution and use Subsequently, broadcasting and recording media made electronics part of daily life. The invention of the transistor, and later the integrated circuit, brought down the cost of electronics to the point they can be used in almost any household object. Famous people with big impact are Nikola Tesla, Alexander Graham Bell, john Logie Baird and many more How to become an electrical engineer Electrical engineers typically hold a degree in electrical engineering or electronic engineering. Getting into engineering school takes good grades in math and science. Students
In his autobiography, Tony described himself as a "hyperactive demon child". Tony Hawk was nine years old when his brother changed his life by giving him a blue fiberglass banana board. His father built a skating ramp in the backyard, in hopes that skateboarding would be an outlet for young Tony's energy. Tony Hawk is now a professional skateboarder. He is considered the most successful person of modern vertical skateboarding. Tony is credited with the invention of many aerial skateboard tricks including the Stalefish, Madonna, McHawk and over 80 other tricks. But he is most famous for being the first to land the 900 (two and a half rotations--900°--in the air before landing back on the pipe). He did it during the X Games, for which he received a lot of attention. He was also the second skateboarder to land a McTwist. This good skateboarder also owns his own film and TV production company and along with his family "Hawk Clothing" cloths shop

phenomena) than in the logical analysis of concepts or language. Continental Philosophy In "Being and Time" Heidegger turned phenomenology toward "existential" questions about freedom, anguish and death. Later, French thinkers influenced by Husserl and Heidegger, especially Sartre and Merleau-Ponty, developed their own versions of phenomenologically based existentialism. Continental Philosophy The term "continental philosophy" was the invention of analytic philosophers of the mid-20th century who wanted to distinguish themselves from the phenomenologists and existentialists of continental Europe. Over the last 50 years, the term has been extended to many other European movements, such as Hegelian idealism, Marxism, hermeneutics and, especially, post-structuralism and deconstruction. an idea. That shouldn't be new for you. Some people might find it hard to believe, but even the most common things- like chairs, walls, even a pack of bread has been an idea once. Someone had probably felt that his or her legs got tired and sitting on floor might not be so comfortable, so one chose to invent a chair. Think of it- even floor, where people used to sit before chairs were invented is certainly someone's idea and invention. Isn't it strange to think like that? You are probably wondering that why are those ideas then so important? It's a good question and there is no way that it could have that one and only answer. I think that all of you have come across some contests, where good ideas are being searched. For example, several months ago I noticed a contest made by very well-known technology company that was searching for new ideas to implement, which prize pool was up to 2000€

Esimesteks jazz fusion'i plaatideks peetakse Gary Burtoni "The Time Machine'i" (1966) ja Larry Coryelli (The Free Spiritsi) "Out of Sight And Soundi" (1966). Samuti oli suur mõju jazz fusion arengule Miles Davise 1968. aasta plaat "Miles in the Sky", kus Davis kasutab esmakordselt elektrilisi instrumente. Samal ajal hakkasid erinevad rock-grupid näiteks Cream ja The Grateful Dead, samuti Blood, Sweat and Tears ja Frank Zappa's Mothers of Invention kasutama oma muusikas džässielemente ja -harmooniaid ning katsetama vabaimprovisatsiooni. Tuntumaid 1970ndate jazz fusioni esindajaid on Weather Report, Mahavishnu Orchestra, The Tony Williams Lifetime, Return to Forever, Herbie Hancocki Headhunters, Soft Machine, Colosseum, Caravan, Nucleus, Blood, Sweat and Tears , Chicago, If, Frank Zappa, Santana, The Eleventh House jt.
So what happens in the end of the century? Only recently I discussed with my friends that it would be nice if we had a teleport, which allow us to go home without riding on a bus or going on foot. Maybe it isn't just a dream and some day we would have it, but what about our health? Even now so many people are suffering from obesity and imagine the situation when nobody needs to exercise at all. I believe that it is not worth it. I recommend you to think, before you take another invention, which thinks for you. I suggest trying to do something by yourself too because we need to fight against the machines which are smarter than us. Otherwise we are falling to the level of our ancestor. Take one sheet of paper and try to write a letter to your dear relative. I believe that it is better and more preferable than sending an e-mail and of course it is sometimes nice to try writing by hand too.

the German feudals. The first documented data about Kuressaare castle originate only from 1380s. Kuressaare castle remained the residence for the bishops of Saare-Lääne Bishopric until the beginning of the Livonian War. At the end of the XIV and the beginning of the XV century the castle was surrounded by a new mighty 625 m long and 7 m high belt of walls, erected around the old belt of walls dating from the XIII century. The necessity to improve the defence of the castle was due to the invention and usage of firearms. The old parts of the walls have been preserved in the new earthwork and bastions even today. In the middle of the XV century the wall was made higher and cannon towers were built. The most powerful was the Cannon Tower on the Northern Bastion from about 1470, restored in 1971-72. In 1559 Bishop Johannes V Münchhausen sold his property in Saaremaa (Oesel) and Kurland to the Danes. The Danes modernized the defence systems of the castle. The work
steam engine had ever been able to do before. Watt´s engine became the basis of industry. Watt didn´t work on his engine only. He made a number of other inventions of different kind. The most important was copying machine. Watt´s copying machine was used all over the country for about 100 years until the typewriter took its place. In physics the unit of electric power or activity was named ,,a watt" after him. At the age of 64, Watt retired. But he still continued experimenting. His last invention was a machine for copying sculptures. Watt had many friends and he often received visitors to his home. He was a great talker and very fond of telling anecdotes. He was a man with great knowledge and people paid much attention to everything that he said. James Watt lived to the age of 83. He received many honours of his valuable work. A few years after his death a monument was erected to him in Westminster Abbey.
They approach innovation in its broadest sense, including both new technologies and new ways of doing things” – (Porter 1990) ● “An innovative business is one which lives and breathes “outside the box”. It is not just good ideas, it is a combination of good ideas, motivated staff and an instinctive understanding of what your customer wants” – (Branson 1998) ● “...novel implementation of an invention, discovery, new or existing knowledge in economic process” (Joseph A. Schumpeter) ● An innovation is the implementation of a new or significantly improved product (good or service), or process, a new marketing method, or a new organisational method in business practices, workplace organisation or external relations” (Oslo Manual). Martin Luther was nailed to the church door at Wittenberg for selling papal indulgences. He died a horrible death, being excommunicated by a bull. It was the painter Donatello's interest in the female nude that made him the father of the Renaissance. It was an age of great inventions and discoveries. Gutenberg invented the Bible. Sir Walter Raleigh is a historical figure because he invented cigarettes. Another important invention was the circulation of blood. Sir Francis Drake circumcised the world with a 100-foot clipper. The government of England was a limited mockery. Henry VIII found walking difficult because he had an abbess on his knee. Queen Elizabeth was the "Virgin Queen." As a queen she was a success. When Elizabeth exposed herself before her troops, they all shouted "hurrah." Then her navy went out and defeated the Spanish Armadillo. 1
Zuckerberg, that many people now think that the founder of our favorite website is an arrogant, self- centered fool. But this is the only negative aspect of the film. The amount of real material was just a little bit too poor for me. In conclusion, this is definitely a movie we will hear about for a long time. It has its advantages for grabbing a vast majority of people with the joy of recognizing and even the critics will not let go the chance to experience the invention of this genius website and the creativity of a so called "ordinary" Harvard student. Facebook has become a part of our everyday life. This is something we could not have imagined even one year ago. I remember when my sister made an account on Facebook in the end of 2006 or in the beginning of 2007. She sent me a friend request, which did not impress me at all and the fact that it seemed quite complicated to even make an account, I cancelled the request and told that it seems like a boring site
Cause of deaths: deniers say the deaths in concentration camps resulted in disease or starvation; that they weren't killed by the Nazis. And if they were, it was because of wartime privations. 300 000 to one or two million Jews were killed in ghettos and camps. The master plan: the deniers say the Nazi's didn't have an intention to exterminate European Jewry, but to deport the Jews out of the Reich (regime or empire). They say that the Holocaust was the invention of the Jews and that the concentration camps were `'inventions of the Jewish mind''. WHY DENY IT? Holocaust deniers deny the happenings of the holocaust to reduce perceived sympathy to Jews; to plant seeds of doubt about Jews and the Holocaust; to undermine the legitimacy of the State of Israel; and to draw attention to particular issues or viewpoints. To innate hatred towards the Jewish: Mark Weber generalises the
Task: Brainstorm the new technological innovations An OPTIMISTIC approach (Alternative theory) Ester Boserup (1965) suggested that an increase in population would stimulate technologists to increase food production. It followed that a rise in population will increase demand for food and therefore act as an incentive to modify technology to produce more food. In other words, “Necessity is the mother of invention” . As population increases agriculture moves into higher stages of intensity with new methods. An OPTIMISTIC approach Followers of Boserup argue that food production is much more optimistic than that of a Malthusian, as she claims that food supplies will stay ahead of population growth. Innovations such as the ‘Green Revolution’ introduced HYVs to LEDCs who witnessed increased yields from these processes allowing
