5%. On 29 June 1613 the Globe Theatre went up in flames during a performance of Henry VIII. A theatrical cannon, set off during the performance, misfired, igniting the wooden beams and thatching. According to one of the few surviving documents of the event, no one was hurt except a man whose burning breeches were put out with a bottle of ale. It was rebuilt in the following year. Since the Globe theatre reconstruction opened for performances in 1997, Shakespeare's Globe has welcomed visitors from all over the world to take part in workshops, lectures and staged readings; to visit the exhibition and tour the Globe theatre, and to watch productions, ranging from original practices to world premières of new writing and the first play by a woman ever to

Book Report: The Spare Room

She was born on 7th November in Geelong and now lives in Victoria. This novel has won several awards and that's one of the reasons I chose to read it. The Spare Room talks about a 64-year woman Helen who lives in Melbourne, Australia. One day, her friend Nicola who lives in Sydney calls and asks if she could stay with her for three weeks. The reason she calls is that she is a cancer patient who needs to be taken care of. As they have been friends for a long time, Helen gave her consent and welcomed Nicola in her home. In Melbourne Helen also has a treatment in an institution called the Theodore. Chemo hadn't worked on her and that is why she is looking for new options to heal though the cancer is already in stage four. In that institute she gets weird kind of treatments, for example administring loads of vitamiin C which makes her sick and puts her through terrible pains. The book describes in detail how Nicola takes care of her and how stressful that is. Nicola

. She had never seen so powerful and so spectacular rose bush before . The roses were white and were shining like waterdrops . She was very suprised and she wanted to take one bloom . The girl reached her hand out to take herself one beautiful bloom. She thought that she had to pick them gently and so she did . She took one rose tenderly with her thin hands and she felt that the rose bush welcomed her warmly . She hopped happily from one foot and to an other , held her basket in one hand and her wonderful rose in the other . With bright eyes she threw her rose to the air and closed her eyes. When she opened her eyes she saw that she had lost her rose . The girl started to look for it when she noticed that it had fallen straight onto the hedgehog's back . When they got to Cuba, he thought he was in China. The world was a lot larger than he thought. On Christmas Eve, the Santa Maria was wrecked near Haiti. Columbus built a fort and left 40 men to hunt for gold. Then he returned to Spain on the Nina. The Pinta also returned. The people of Spain welcomed him as a hero. He made three more voyages across the ocean. His 13-year-old son, Ferdinand went with him on the fourth voyage. Columbus did not become rich as he had hoped. At the end of his life he only had a pension the king and queen had given him because he was the first to reach the New World. He spent the last few months of his life in bed because of the pain of arthritis. Columbus not only discovered a New World, but he led the way for other explorers.

integration require a high level of tolerance from all those involved. Here, the major obstacle is often xenophobia which may be caused by a wide range of factors. As a rule, xenophobia occurs in big, mostly mono-cultural societies, where strangers are kept at a distance just because they have not been seen around before. On the other hand, xenophobia can result from the hyper-liberal immigration policy in some modern countries. For example France and Sweden which have warmly welcomed a huge amount of immigrants form Asia and Africa during the recent decades. However, instead of striving to integrate with the local population by learning their language and getting to know their culture, they form their own closed community which do not communicate with the indigenous population. What is more, they keep on following the laws of their native land, often ignoring the legislation of their new homeland.

Wind energy as a power source is favoured by many environmentalists as an alternative to fossil fuels, as it is plentiful, renewable, widely distributed, clean, and produces lower greenhouse gas emissions, although the construction of wind farms is not universally welcomed due to their visual impact and other effects on the environment. The intermittency of wind seldom creates problems when using wind power to supply a low proportion of total demand. Where wind is to be used for a moderate fraction of demand, additional costs for compensation of intermittency are considered to be modest. The full vernacular Bible appeared in 1739. The translators tried to eliminate the vast difference between the `country language' and `church language'. The Bible translation became the basic text that regulated the written Estonian language for more than a century. Despite its enormous impact on the development of the Estonian language, individualistic Pietism found a direct response primarily among the German-speaking clergy and nobility. The Estonian peasantry appears to have welcomed the movement of the Moravian Brethren which had started in Herrnhut in Saxony. In contrast to the Pietism, emphasizing penitence in the spirit of the Old Testament, the christocratic theological approach of the Moravians made them an optimistic and popular movement. This began to spread widely among Estonian 5|Page peasants in the 1730s, when the founder of the movement, Count Nikolaus Ludwig

The new generation of IRA leaders welcomed and aided the violent youngsters. The violence created a situation of terrorism, fear and greater support for radical groups. A regional diplomatic breakthrough between the UK government and the Republic of Ireland united the two governments north and south of the border in the Anglo-Irish Agreement. The use of concerned third parties also played an important part. The wider political trends of the European Union also undercut the conflict.

Instead, as Stowe's sister Mary related in a letter, the Queen arranged to pass Stowe's carriage on the road, so the two women could silently nod to each other. Stowe's three European tours brought her similar acclaim. She was welcomed by expatriot American writers in Italy and forged long term friendships. The power of her celebrity and influence made other social reform groups appeal for her support. Sometimes she agreed, as when she contributed editorials to the New York newspaper, The Independent, or sent items to antislavery fundraising fairs. The restaurant wasn't crowded -- it was the off-season in Port Angeles. The host was female, and I understood the look in her eyes as she assessed Edward. She welcomed him a little more warmly than necessary. I was surprised by how much that bothered me. She was several inches taller than I was, and unnaturally blond. "A table for two?"
