We were told that during the flight it's possible to read free newspaper and enjoy feature film. At first there were no newspaper and secondly we could see only children's cartoon. Subject: environmental situation at Poku Date: 19 November 2010 Introduction As a member of the Nature Club I have decided to write a report on the environmental situation at Poku and make recommendations based on the opinion poll carried out at Poku. The results of the opinion poll are presented below. Pollution General situation at Poku is satisfactory as the level of water and noise pollution is rather low as there are no big industrial enterprises in the vicinity. Problematic areas are air and litter pollution as many tourists visit the place leaving behind exhaust gases and rubbish on the ground. Wildlife In the forests near Poku there is comparatively rich in wildlife. The only problem seems to be cutting trees which may leave the local animals without their usual habitat. Recycling Recycling of paper and glass is very well organised in the area of Poku. More problematic seems to be recycling of plastic and chemicals as there are no special containers for that kind of waste
But on the other hand the world can also be frightful. People are starving, and do not have water to drink nor wash themselves. But somewhere someone has unlimited food and water and never thinks about those people who are in need. Due to the over consumption of water, gas, wood et cetera, we might be in a lack of mineral resources in the future. And if they run out, we need to find an alternative variant. Already today we have places on Earth were there are no clean water and fresh air. People are already trying to make the world a better place to live in but there are also people who still do not do anything to achieve it. People are using renewable energy (wind, sun), using less air pollutin fuels and recycyle as much as possible. It helps to maintain normal balance in the nature. Fast changes require us faster solutions for a normal life. We do not know what might happen in 10 or 100 years, but we are bound to consider, that life has to continue after us.

Due to the fact that overall life in Poku is good we still have some problematic things to consider. Nowadays government has started to cut trees near Poku. This affects development of animals living in these areas because it takes away living areas of these animals. Air pollution is also rising because of overall pollution coming from distant cities and from cars that tourists use to visit the area. People who are visiting Poku are also leaving too much trash behind. Plastic and chemicals recycling is also problematic because right now there is little ways to recycle them. I recommend that we could use extra trash bins, so tourist could always put their trash in proper places. Car park situated in proper distant from Poku would be good solution to fight air
