Mr. Bumble spoke sharply to Oliver and told Mrs. Sowerberry that she had been feeding the boy to liberally and that he should be kept on gruel for the rest of his apprenticeship. Lynn tells Rowley that she wishes to marry David Hunter. Rowley is strangling Lynn when Poirot stops him. David arrives and Poirot explains everything. Rowley visited Arden, and seeing the physical resemblance to Frances, reacted angrily to the deception that was being played. Pushed by Rowley, Arden fell against the mantelpiece and died. Rowley saw the opportunity to incriminate David. He smashed in Arden's head with fire tongs and left David's lighter at the scene. It was Rowley who persuaded Porter to give the false identification, carefully employing Poirot, who would be sure to go to Porter on the basis of that first scene at the club, which Rowley also knew of from Jeremy. Porter's guilt got the better of him and he committed suicide, leaving a note that Rowley destroyed. As the play progresses, Claudius's mounting fear of Hamlet's insanity leads him to ever greater self- preoccupation; when Gertrude tells him that Hamlet has killed Polonius, Claudius does not remark that Gertrude might have been in danger, but only that he would have been in danger had he been in the room. As she prepares for her wedding, Jane's forebodings arise when a strange, savage-looking woman sneaks into her room one night and rips her wedding veil in two. As with previous mysterious events, Mr Rochester attributes the incident to drunkenness on the part of Grace Poole, one of his servants. During the wedding ceremony, Mr. Mason and a lawyer declare that Mr Rochester cannot marry because he is already married to Mr. Mason's sister. Mr Rochester bitterly admits this, explaining that his wife is a violent madwoman whom he keeps locked in the attic, in the care of Grace Poole. When Grace occasionally drinks too much, it gives his wife a chance to escape, and she is the true cause of Thornfield's strange events. Mr. Rochester asks Jane to go with him to the south of France, and live as husband and wife, even though they cannot be married. Refusing to go against her principles, and despite her love for him, Jane leaves Thornfield in the middle of the night.

The problem is that memories of Dom's mysterious wife Mal (Marion Cotillard) and children keep invading his dreams, and won't let him accomplish the job without constantly throwing him off task. These haunting demons fill Cobb's head, and he just wants to find his way back to reality to be reunited with his children once again. That's all I'll reveal about the plot because to attempt to summarize it in more detail, would not only be an exercise in futility, but I also don't want to ruin the fun for anyone.
As everybody prepares for the show Christian's and Satine's relationship becomes deeper. They constantly make up excuses as to why Satine cannot spend time with the Duke. The Duke starts to complain to Zidler. Christian and Satine are happy together as long as Zidler sees them kissing. Zidler understands the whole situation and promises the Duke that Satine will have dinner with him. Then Zidler goes to Satine and tells her that she must end the affair. After that Satine collapses again and she could not make it to the Duke that night again. Zidler solves the problem and calms the Duke down by telling him that Satine is confessing. Satine tries to tell Christian that their reletionship is over but the man convinces her that they should be together by writing a secret song which he puts in the show. They are singing the song and the Duke is listening while one of the jelous actress is pointing out that the song and the whole play is really about Satine, Christian and the Duke

Lord Emsworth finds out that the girl wanted to take some food for his brother but was caught. He takes the girl to the castle kitchen and gives her some. Outside they notice McAllister, who starts to run towards them because the girl had thrown him with a rock that morning. Lord Emsworth gathers his courage and protects her. Inspired by this act he also declines to do the speech. Instead, he goes to change clothes and to take a walk in the garden with the girl.
