Authentic Navajo art or handcraft consists of handmade items produced by a Native American craftsperson, using high-quality, natural materials that are not machine stamped. The Navajo people are regarded as being the pioneers of Native American art. They are particularly renowned for their rugs and unique silversmithing techniques. They were also pioneers when it came to basketry and are recognized the world over for their basket weaving skills. Rug Weaving Commercial production of handwoven blankets and rugs has been an important element of the Navajo economy. Rug weaving is another traditional Navajo art form. Navajo women believe the art of weaving was taught by Spider Woman, who constructed a loom according to directions given by the Holy People.

These first paintings were made by limners and artisans without formal training and were based on what was popular in England during the Tudors. In C18, painting was a luxury and necessitated wealth that had by then become available. KUBISM Kubism on 20. sajandi kunstivool, mis hakkas kujunema Pariisis 1907. aastal Pablo Picasso ja Georges Braque'i töödes. Kubistide eelkäijaks oli Paul Cézanne. Mõiste "kubism" võttis kasutusele prantsuse kriitik Louis Vauxcelles ja see vihjab kuubist lähtuvale kujutamisele. The Great Wave off Kanagawa The Great Wave off Kanagawa , also known as The Great Wave or simply The Wave, is a woodblock print by theJapanese artist Hokusai. An example of ukiyo-e art, it was published sometime between 1830 and 1833[1] (during the Edo Period) as the first in Hokusai's series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji(Fugaku sanjrokkei (?)), and is his most famous work. This particular woodblock is one of the most recognized works of Japanese art in the world. It depicts an enormous wavethreatening boats near the Japanese prefecture of Kanagawa. Cinema was invented by accident. 1872, west coast: leland standford, party, rich people, end of the 19 century, bored. Stanfrod talks friends about horses: problem: question is, what happens with the hooves while its moving, running. Bet, with eyes, can't settle this. Cannot ever see if the hooves touch the ground. Stanford has enough money, hires most famous photographer. Eadwerd muybridge, comes to usa. Tells him to settle this with photography. That time with photography you cannot get any informatio either. Started to install boxes, in each box, there was a camera. Does the hooves touch the ground or not? Fast shutter, can freeze the moment. Makes fast shutters, to record this.
