be better than now, rather worse. The air won't be suitable for breathing so there will be probably some kind of masks or glass cities, where to live. Water won't be drinkable and people will buy all needful water from shops, actually not from shops but from the internet, because there won't be shops anymore. Food nearly won't exist anymore; energy will come in tablet form. Transport will be a lot comfortable and faster. Cars will be soundless and all vehicles will whir ten times faster. You will think nothing of taking a holiday in outer space. Students will learn from TV, recorders and teaching machines. They will get pills to make them learn faster. We shall be healthier, too. There will be no common colds, cancer, tooth decay or mental illness. But this will be artificial and impermanent. People will be lazier because they won't have to do any work and life will be extremely comfortable but boring. It looks that if everything will be so easy, people will probably
Technology has dramatically changed leisure and hobbies Family drives with a car, husband turns the car looking at the GPS directions to home. Wife shares pictures to Instagram with her iPhone and in the backseat girl is playing with her iPad and boy reads on his kindle. This is normal nowadays, because technolgy has been improved for example people can now communicate with each other much faster. It is great, although it can also harm people. Technology is serious responsibility- if people do not use an invention carefully, then it would end up the wrong way. The word „Leisure“ meaning changes in every 10 to 20 years. 50 years ago spare time was usually considered as that part of a day when people took a nap or children played with each other. Nowadays technological tools are killing off leisure time, especially for younger
are always in social media talking with friends then people can’t interact with people outside the internet. If the people are not used to speaking in real life then it could be difficult to impress yourself with words to other people and because of this it could be difficult finding a job. Social networking sites help students do better at school. It helps students browse quickly the information they need and not waste time on searching from millions of books. It helps students do homework faster and then they can have free time to do hobbies. It could also provide distance learning due to sickness or travelling. But in the other hand it’s bad because the internet enables the spread of unreliable and false information. Also people don’t read as much books if they get all the information from the internet. If students prefer internet to books, then schools would start using computers instead of books. Therefore students would
While the basic principles generalize to estimating other reaction times, the exact numbers do not. Each type of reaction time has its own pecularities that must be examined. For example, reaction time for a shooter who is tracking a target might be 0.4 second, but even this would be a function of trigger pull weight. The data revealed that range of factors seem to affect player's concentration. For example, the average reaction time of drivers is 10 percent faster than that of non- drivers, and those that slept for eight hours the night before the survey reported the fastest reaction times of 525 ms - up to 20 percent faster than those who got less shut-eye. Keywords: movement time, urgency, results, visibility, reflexes, emergency stop, drivers.
your speed and lenghtening your distances. But nevertheless you shouldn't start working out without previous experiences. It would be a smart move to consult with a professional trainer, so you can learn how to warm up, how to do everything so you won't hurt yourself, and how to stretch after a workout. For instance many people without previous training experience start their "healthy" life by running long distances fast. Out of ignorance they believe, that if they run faster and longer, they will get better results. Needless to say, that kind of working out damages your body more than it helps. And can also cause you to have an cardiac arrest or a serious longterm heart problems. But despite the fact that there can be serious consequences for false ways, there is still an upside. If you live an healty life, you have more strenght to get trought the day. You will feel relaxed and you won't be ill as often. Even if you get the flu, you will recover faster and it

For and against modern technology for communication From time to time the technology for communication has developed forward. The developing has its good and bad sides. The positive side is that it is faster and more comfortable because we have the Internet. The Internet is used similarly around the world.because of its low cost it is a good way to communicate with friends and family, especially contact with those who are far away for example in other countrys. On the other hand many people work with the Internet because it is the fastest and easiest way to contact others and send files. The other way of modern communication is to call somebody by mobilephone also you can send SMS's to others
For instance, students do not have to waste time anymore for looking up new words from books like in the old times. Now, they can simply enter a word and get it, or when they have to read a excercise or a story, then they can access to it very fast. Also, nowadays society is accustomed to use smart-phones and it is easier to them remember new words or important information. Therefore, smart-phones have advantage to make one a better learner and do things faster. A big disadvantage of using smart-phones is that they can affect ones health and capability. For example, when students begin to use smart-phones at early age and the wolume of work is massive, then it is dreadfully harmful to students eyes and they will get tired easily. It can lead to many health issues like farsightedness and headaches. As well, if students are using smart-phones constantly, they can not manage to do simple things without it and it can ruin ones life
between the different countries. We must send our products to all markets and make sure that all the markets are going to be affected. If all markets are connected with each other then they will start to compete and that removes inefficient producers. Furthermore it will rise the quality of products higher and reduces their cost. Secondly different products and technological progresses are going to spread faster all over the globe. It gives unlimited access for the poorer people all over the Word to get the cheapest source of desired goods and services. Thirdly removing trading barriers help unemployed people to get jobs and deincrease the effect of the nowaday monopolies and explotation of the citizenz by the local businessmen. One point in favour of globalization is that it causes faster economic growth in all
On PCs, the BIOS contains all the code required to control the keyboard, display screen, disk drives, serial communications, and a number of miscellaneous functions. The BIOS is typically placed in a ROM chip that comes with the computer (it is often called a ROM BIOS). This ensures that the BIOS will always be available and will not be damaged by disk failures. It also makes it possible for a computer to boot itself. Because RAM is faster than ROM, though, many computer manufacturers design systems so that the BIOS is copied from ROM to RAM each time the computer is booted. This is known as shadowing. Many modern PCs have a flash BIOS, which means that the BIOS has been recorded on a flash memory chip, which can be updated if necessary. The PC BIOS is fairly standardized, so all PCs are similar at this level (although there are different BIOS versions). Additional DOS functions are usually added through software modules
Conditionals: 0 and I What is a conditional sentence? • Conditional sentences have at least two clauses: IF clauses and THEN clauses • Examples: If I go into town tomorrow, then I will see a movie. If he spoke Chinese, then he would work as a guide in China. If they had been faster, then they would have won the race. IF Clauses (the condition) • IF clauses present the condition. • Examples: If I go into town tomorrow… If he spoke Chinese… If they had been faster… THEN Clauses (the results) • THEN clauses present the results. • Examples: … then I will see a movie. …. then he would work as a guide in China. … then they would have won the race. IF and THEN Clauses • The word “then” is optional, but the clause is still the result of the condition. So it is a “THEN” clause, without the word “then.” 0 CONDITIONAL • Situations that are always true if something happens. • Instructions, rules
0.003% of all water on Earth, readily accessible for direct human use. • According to the Global Outlook for Water Resources to the Year 2025, it is estimated that by 2025, more than half of the world population will be facing water-based vulnerability and human demand for water will account for 70% of all available freshwater. • Freshwater is the most fundamental finite resource with no substitutes for most uses, yet we are consuming fresh water at least 10 times faster than it is being replenished in regions of northern Africa, the Middle East, India, Pakistan, China, and the U.S.. Species Extinction • Human beings are currently causing the greatest mass extinction of species since the extinction of the dinosaurs 65 million years ago at rates 1000 to 10,000 times faster than normal. • The 2012 update of the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species shows that of the 63,837 species examined worldwide,
I talking about that, why horse would be better than car. With horse you can run on everywhere, without damaging the ground. A horse dont need any fuel like cars, only food, water, and some vitamins. Horse does not emit toxic lead or carbon monoxide which can cause diseases on people and animals. But with horse you cant drive so fast and long distances like with car. Horse causes no traffic jam, he does not need to be managed traffic light since it travels with much slower speed and can stop faster than car. But of horse you must take more care than car. Car may stay in garage a long time, nothing happening with that, but horse often needs food and takeing more care.

from their teenage years, for example the School of the Performing Arts. New Yorkers seem to be always on the move. In Manhattan the pavements are full of pedestrians, while cars, buses and taxis jam the roads. Driving in central New York is only for the daring, so people often take one of the famous yellow taxis instead. There are about 12 000 of them in the city. Another way to get around overground is to take a bus. New York's express buses do not make many stops, so they go much faster than regular buses but they still cannot avoid the jams. New York's first subway line opened in 1904. Now the system has 469 stations and is used by over three million people every day. There are two types of subway train. Local trains stop at station. Express trains go faster and miss out some stations. New York City, especially Manhattan, is a shopper's paradise. There are over 30 department stores in New York. Among them is Macy's, the world's largest. It opened on Broadway in

Working at home or in an office With the development of communication technology many companies offer their employees a possibility to work at home instead of going to office every day. This option has many positive sides but also some negative. Firstly working at home is more comfortable for workers. Their working schedule is more flexible because work has to be done for certain date and if they do their work faster then there is more free time to be with a family, play sports etc. In many cases workers who work at home are more creative and their working results are better. Sometimes lack of inspiration or poor working results may be caused by the small office. Working at home has also some negative sides. When working at home workers can not communicate with each others from face to face. In my opinion teamwork is very important in most of the companies
Technological invention a bless or a curse? Nowadays people live in a technologically advanced world, where more and more electronic gadgets are used every day. However, is technological development more of a blessing or a curse? Firstly, technology is labour-saving. Time-saving technology is always at work to help us complete tasks at home and on the job faster than ever. Secondly, the advances of technology have made our lives more comfortable. For instance, the mobile phone has made our time more flexible. Finally, communicational technology has made our life more interesting. We can now make friends with people all over the world through the Internet. However, for every plus there is a minus. The main disadvantage is that people are depending on technology too much. Most people are addicted to computer games or watching TV. Furthermore,
to block access to the website. But governments of different countries can't close the website because this service website change the domain after every two months and in some countries the piracy is allowed, like in Switzerland. At the moment the website's domain is ending with .SE(Sweden domain). Downloading quality and speed depends of people who's downloading and uploading and seeding the files. With more seeders and downloaders the files coming faster in your computer in every country. Usually you can download there movies, music, games, pictures etc. Logo of Pirate Bay service.
Nowadays computers have a big part in our everyday life. It is difficult to imagine our lives without them. Unfortunately the development of technology has changed people's priorities too much. Instead of being with their loved ones, people spend more and more time in front of the computer. Has computer really become man's new best friend? On the one hand, computer can be really useful in many circumstances. For example, thanks to computers people can do their job more easily and faster, search information they need or just find out what is happening in the world in general. On the other hand, by spending too much time in front of the computer people tend to waist a lot of time. Because of the fact that Internet is full of various entertainments, people lose sense of time. It may also seem that virtual life is more interesting than the real one. Although computers simplify our lives and have many benefits, there are still many downsides we should not ignore

From: Mari Mets, student Subject: Suggested improvements to school Date: 1 Decembre 2009 Purpose The purpose of this report is to comment conditions in the school and to make recommendations for possible improvements. The survey has been conducted among our class students. Canteen Firstly, the canteen`s food prices are too low and service is very slow. It would be a good idea to mark down the price of food and to put meals on the table before lunch break. As result service would be faster and more students could afford eating school lunch . Library Furthermore, the majority of the students (56%) are not agreed with library opening hours and range of books. By buying more books and changing library opening hours, we could solve the problem. Teachers` teaching styles Last, the minority of our class students (22%) do not like the teachers` teaching styles. Teachers should explain more clearly what they exactly want from students. In this way
perpendicular to the ground, thumbs-up. Still others allow a range of rotation and elevations. Simple ergonomic keyboards can cost as little as typical keyboards or as much as $995 for high end keyboards. An ergonomic keyboard may reduce muscle strain and reduce risk of Carpal Tunnel syndrome, but there is no clear evidence of benefit. After a user takes the time to adjust to this style of keyboard, these keyboards can make typing easier, faster and less awkward. Some ergonomic keyboards are very highly priced, though not necessarily so. They may take a little practice to get used to, and many people don't want to go to the trouble of adjusting. These keyboards may take more space on your computer table and force the mouse to be farther away.
The computer has greatly improved our lives today Nowadays, computers are a big part of our lives and they have made pretty much everything simpler and more entertaining. On the other hand, the misuse of them can be extremely dangerous. On the positive side, computers are great tools for school and different jobs. Using the Internet it is possible to communicate with each other and access to information faster. Another advantage is that almost the whole world has access to those technological inventions, so if someone lives in Australia, it is surprisingly easy for them to find a friend from Europe. On the negative side, there are lots of hackers who can damage big companies or leak personal information. In addition to this, people spend too much time in front of computer screens and that causes visual illness, sickness, stress, muscular pains, etc. Furthermore,
Pros and Cons of Technology Humans are developing technology every day. What are the benefits and risks that technology can cause to humanity? There are a lot of different fields of technology. It is hard to find a profession where people do not use technology. Thanks to technology, we can make much more work during the day, for example a car, we can get from one town to another much faster with driving than walking. Althought it is good and comfortable for humans, it is not good for the air we breathe because of the exhaust fumes. This is the example to my belief that every technology have pros and cons at the same time. Year by year people are getting used to get their work done by or with technology, that is why i think we may get lazy and do not value what we have to do to get something done. Technology helps us to live longer
Dear Jane Smith, I am writing behalf of our team to apologize for inconvenience we have caused. It was our fault and we are really sorry about this. When we arrive, we should walk through Castle Bridge to Tower Island and back, but unfortunately you have no time to take a walk. I would suggest that this time we will only walk to Castle Bridge and get acquainted wiht the sights and then we will come back. We should return to London at 14.30, but the coach arrives at 14.45, then we can get on the island faster or we can wait for the next coach. It can also be decided locally. Internet has many uses in my life - I use it for studying, tracking weather, playing games, watching movies and listening to music. I mostly use internet in my smartphone. It's more convenient to carry around rather than a computer. At home i prefer my computer it makes studying alot easier as I can type words much faster than with a smartphone or a pen. It's also bigger so it's nice to watch movies with as well. I use my computer a lot less than my phone maybe 2 or three hours a day, whereas I use my phone at all times. - , , , . . , . - , , . , . , - , 2 3 , . These people should realise that they are the ones, who should help their country in developing education, economy and solving problem of over population. Thirdly, we can say that instead of opening our doors to the whole world, we can assist poorer countries by sending them supplies like first aid, condoms, pure water, food and clothes. In conclusion, we can say that richer countries should not welcome immigration in order to help poorer countries to develope faster and they should send supplies to make their life better they would not desire to leave their homes.
There is something specail about the atmosphere, because my research show that people spend there about two times more than in other eating places in Pärnu. Secondly, I have to mention that the food is quite delicious. Bad points of Steffani Pizza Restaurant The biggest problem with Steffani seems to be their workers. Actually they are in desperate need of new workers. The questionnaire shows that people will have to wait for about an hour, to get their food but if they made pizzas faster, there could be more customers, which also would mean bigger profits. Conclusion and recommendation To sum up, I have to say that everything is perfect except services. They need to hire some new workers and and in the nearest future.
21st century century when the world around us changes faster than ever before. With that accompanies different changes in our everyday lives. Nowadays there is growing demand in highly qualified workers and not only in big empires but also in smaller countries like Estonia. In Estonia the most needed professions are connected with computers, different hi-tech machines and healthcare. Firstly, in my opinion the biggest deficit is in doctors. The main reason for that might be that the
In fact, it is comfortable to sit behind computer and text instead of meeting eachother. Furthermore, people do not know that their information is totally unprotected and visible for everyone. Last but not least, visiting social networks like facebook, twitter, snapchat and so on, makes people addicted. For example, people often forget themselves surfing hours on these pages. In conclusion, social networks have made social life more convenient and faster. In fact, people save more time and money talking through internet. But on the otherhand, it is addiciton and makes people lose their quality time. 218 words Andres 12D

The invention of the car changed the world People have learned to get by as comfortably as possible. They have invented all kinds of things to make their lives easier. One man in history did a big favour to all of us. That knowledgeable man was Henry Ford who invented a machine, which was called automobile. Nowadays it is known as a car. Inventing a car made our lives easier. Nowadays people can move much faster from one place to the other and it is also more comfortable. There are very many different functions of automobiles. They are used primely for transporting things and people as well. Cars are very useful for people, but not beneficial for nature. Year after year people buy more cars instead of taking a bus. Owing to this, the air pollution has been doubled up in few years. It's not only nature that gets damaged by cars
,,Lightning". Its perfect name for a enery drink because lightning is very fast and cool so people may think that they will become as fast as lighting when they drink that beverage. Also we should make healthy drinks from fresh fruits and call it ,,Lightning Apple" or something like that so it will be a healthy energy drink. All the bottles must look like lightning arrows and the bottles will be made from recyclable glass. The new slogan will be ,,Faster than lightning". We will advertise it on television and on internet. The product will be pricey to look professional and seem like high-quality drink. We can compete similar products with our professional high-quality packaging which will come with a lightning tattoo which can be removed with water. The product will be launched globaly and because lightning strikes are very well known in many different countries then there will be no problem with culture differences. We will apply to be a
For example finding a job. Nowadays there lots and lots of jobs which require atleast basic knowledge about computers. Therefore, it is important for them to have computer skills atleast at basic level. Secondly, using computers while studying can speed up the learning and also writing process, because it is known that the youth can find a missing word or a phrase on the internet in a matter of seconds. Also, they write a lot faster on computer than by hand, so it can drastically improve the speed of learning. On the other hand, students do not always use computers for learning. They use them also for playing games and communicating with their friends which can be really big factor of disturbance of the studying. Moreover, the students who use computers for other reasons than studying do not pay attention to the process of studying.
Exercising too much might actually hurt your body and weaken you and then you feel very tired and more vulnerable to illnesses. · Injuries Keeping fit can also lead to many different injuries such as cramps or even fractures which take a very long time to recover. · Anorexia, bulimia People think that eating very little food and exercising as much as possible makes your muscles grow faster and bigger. Because of this some people might suffer from anorexia of bulimia. I think that exercising and eating healthy foods is very good for you and your body. But you have to know how to exercise properly and you cannot over exercise because this, like the right amount of exercise does good for your body, hurts your body instead.
And if they run out, we need to find an alternative variant. Already today we have places on Earth were there are no clean water and fresh air. People are already trying to make the world a better place to live in but there are also people who still do not do anything to achieve it. People are using renewable energy (wind, sun), using less air pollutin fuels and recycyle as much as possible. It helps to maintain normal balance in the nature. Fast changes require us faster solutions for a normal life. We do not know what might happen in 10 or 100 years, but we are bound to consider, that life has to continue after us.
In the next few decades, some types of mammals, fish, birds and plants are getting smaller and evolve into miniature versions of what they are today. This could force some creatures, that people eat, to become extinct, Dr David Bickford from the National University of Singapore reviewed research showing creatures from deer to tortoises, gulls, goshawks and even polar bears have already shrunk over the past 50 years. 'Because recent climate change may be faster than past historical changes in climate, many organisms may not respond or adapt quickly enough. The species that can adapt are the species that will be affected by potential declines in body size.' Researches say warmer and drier conditions have seen an increase in droughts which have shrunk some plants, and acidification of the ocean has affected the size of algae and plankton which are at the bottom of the food chain.
them with you. They are also affordable for anyone. Nowadays almost all people have and use cellular phones, because you can talk to your friends everywhere where there is network connection. The other easy way to communicate is using internet, which was developed in 1968. Hundreds of millions of people are using internet all over the world. Using internet is very easy and most people learn to use it very quickly. It is much cheaper and faster way to chat with your friends or relatives than sending letters, because you do not have to buy stamps or envelopes. In the internet there are many programs where you can talk to people you know, most common programs used in EU are messenger and Skype. You can also send e-cards and e-mails at no cost. Many people still send letters, so it is not dying art; it is very common way wishing merry Christmas or happy birthday. Also sending postcards and letters are not very expensive. One
We are definitely driving with aircrafts, because we ran out of fuel over 50 years ago. Because Earth is very polluted, there isn't any way to grow food. All food is made in factories from plastic and other chemical stocks, so they are not very healthy. Poor people live only about 20 years old, because people get their vitamins and nutrients, to be live, only from chemist's. All cars are converted to aircrafts. Traffic accidents are not so tragic anymore, even though speed is faster and traffic is much more heavier. Everything looks like in Futurama. We are not using telephones, computers or iPods, because when we are born, doctors will set a very little chip into our brain. So everything, we want to search from Google or listen from iTunes is now in our heads and can be used every time. As a result, I can say, that life in next century, in my opinion will be much easier. Our home planet
Firstly, I'd like to speak about going to work. Many people after finishing secondary school are going to work. One reason for this is that people have different abilities. Not everybody is suitable for university. The second reason is that perhaps they don't want to spend a lot of time on academic education. They are interested in particular profession which doesn't need an academic degree and want to move on with their life. Positive sides are that people can earn money and grow up faster. Negative sides are that it's not easy to get a job if doesn't have an education. Employees tend to prefer employers who have a good education and work experience. The second choice is to go to university after finishing secondary school. In Estonia, a lot of people are going to university. Then you can get an academic education. Positive sides are that people who go there are more intelligent and get broad horizons. They also get a lot of
Cows are fed corn instead of grass, because corn is cheeper and makes cows obese more quickly. Because of the unhealthy environment animals are raised in, they get infected with salmonella and coliform bacteria. Salmonella and coliform bacteria infected food can lead to serious diseases and death. The chickens are raised in dark rooms, where there isn’t even room to move. They live in the middle of their own droppings and they eat each other. They are fed stuff that make them grow faster and bigger. The chickens can’t carry their own weight and fall down. Employees hit and toture them. I find horrifying how the chikens are treated as plain food not living creatures. Cows and pigs are treated in the same way. Most of the food in America is controlled and manufactured by few main companies. The major food companies make huge profits of which are based on supplying cheap but contaminated food, the heavy use of petroleum-based chemicals (largely pesticides and
Fifty years from now, life will be much easier and healthier for odrinary people than it is today In fifty years time the wolrd will be very diffriend from what it is today. In my opinion people will gather into two groups ones that will love and be obsessed with robots and other new technology and the ones who want to live like their grandmothers and grandfathers. They want to grow their own food and give up on technology. Most likely technology will improve faster than ever and that might cause some problems. Like in the movie ,,I,Robot".People will improve technology so fast that they will make mistakese mistakse that might kill human race. They might build robots so advance that we won't be able to control them anymore. Also there is the ,,Clobal Warming" people are talking about. The world will run out of water. People will die in thirst. Waters price will be higher than a kg of gold.
