Eagle 60 species of eagles live in Eurasia and Africa. Outside this area, just two species (the Bald and Golden Eagles) can be found in the USA and Canada, nine more in Central and South America, and three in Australia. Most eagles are very large. The biggest is the sea eagle which can be at 500 grams and 40 cm to 6.7-kg and 100cm. Like all birds of prey, eagles have very large powerful hooked beaks for tearing flesh from their prey, strong muscular legs, and powerful talons. Defence Organisation was renamed the Estonian Defence League which performed the tasks of a national guard in the War of Independence. They used to maintain the grassland through hay-making but now the endorsements are very low and owners don't take care of the land at the river bank. Some scientists think that letting the grasslands grow untouched is good for the biodiversity, but this is not the case here. For example eagles, which hunt on these grounds just abandon these areas and move on to nest somewhere else. Some introduced species have become thoroughly naturalised, e.g. rabbits and the brown rat. About 400 species of birds have been recorded in Ireland. Many of these species are migratory. There are arctic birds, which come in the winter, and birds such as the swallow, which come from Africa in the summer to breed. Ireland has a very rich marine avifauna, with many large seabird colonies dotted around its coastline such as those on the Saltee Islands and Skellig Michael. Also of note are golden eagles, only recently reintroduced after decades of extinction. There are no snakes and only one reptile native to Ireland, the common lizard.
