Many high-level positions in companies are filled by men even though the workforce in many developed countries is more than 50 percent female. Companies should be required to allocate a certain percentage of these positions to women. To what extent do you agree? In the 21st century it is all about gender equality and every individual wants to achieve high level position in their work place. In the past, women, in many societies, had less rights and privileges than men. The statement says that companies should give a certain number of higher positions to women. However, I do not agree with this requirement completely.

What is the best age to be? The question we all may ask ourselves time and time again. What is the best age to be? In my opinion there is not a best age and because of that is a question that will always be left unanswered. The life span approach emphasizes developmental change is throughout adulthood as well as childhood. As a 18 year old female I cannot really choose a specific age group that would be best in the life in every aspect, because I have not yet reached certain age periods of my life span development. All ages have great and bad things. When you are a child your freedom is limited and it mostly depends on your parents´ mood at that time. Some examples like where you have to be home at 9.00pm and no TV until you´ve cleaned your room. Also then you have problems, but only the ones generated at school. Childhood has many responsibilities, some we like, some we have to do and some we despise. Responsibilities some of us enjoy doing is homework
THE EFFECT OF ELECTRONIC MEDIA ON YOUNG PEOPLE Nowadays it is not a secret, that electronic media can be really harmful for developing human brain. But only some people know, how exactly TV, computer or radio influences younger generation. How to recognize whether the program is appropriate or not? The answer is pacing. If you see, that certain TV program is slow-paced and has the narrative form, then you should know that it can help to develop the long-term memory. But if the program is frenetically-paced, then it usually contains a violence that can inhibit the development of young people and also make children act impulsively and inappropriately. The violence on TV is the main issue that parents are worried about, as violence has a numbing effect on emotions. Moreover, young people can accept violence as the
meaning of being in be-ing in itself is unclear. Non Material things can also be or exist. If something is, then it is a being. But what exactly is this IS that we can see or on the opposite can not see? Therefore this is one of the fundamental questions of philosophy. 2. Can you reject solipsism? Solipsism (solus ipse) means nothing exists, therefore everything is an illusion outside of our own minds. I think that it is true that we know WE as in myself exists. But i can not for certain say that the person reading this exists although it might seems like it to me. I think that you really can’t reject solipsism on the whole because you do know that you exists, but can you for certain say that anybody else does? It may as well be just an illusion, but you never can say for certain. That is why you can not reject it, although you may say that you don’t believe it. 3. What is Kant’s categorical imperative?

What is wrong with current school education? School education right now, like democracy, is not perfect. It has to be perfected all the time, according to the ways of life, which are always changing. There definately is not a certain perfect solution. Firts problem in current education system coul be that students are put into a „box“. Everyone gets graded by a certain standard, if you can not reach that line, then yo have failed. This is the fairest way, at least in concept. But not all the people have same abilities and strengths. Education should be more personal, focusin on a certain students talents and strengths and trying to develope those, so that the children could reach their full- potential and would always be encouraged to follow their heart in life. Secondly, there should be more practical learning. Practical learning is much

The British Parliament The Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, commonly known as the British Parliament,Westminster Parliament or simply "Westminster". The British constitution has envolved over many centuries and unlike many other nations, the UK has no single constitutional documents. But Britain does, however, have certain important constitutional documents, including Magna Carta, Bill of Rights and Reform Act. It is formed partly by statue law, partly by common law and partly by conventions. Fundamental law doesn´t exist in the United Kingdom. There can be distinguish three separate organs: the legislature, the executive and the judiciary. Parliament, the law-making body, consists of three elements: the Monarchy, the House of Commons and the House of Lords
In fact, there are even laguages that haven't been written down. In the olden days people use to tell stories. They didn't write them down, just told or sang them to others, who passed them on the same way and so they spread from generation to generation. Now if a language dies, the folklore dies with it. So we will also lose our ancestors knowledge, in what they believed in, what they valued. We will lose the myths and legends, how the world or a certain place was made. In fairytales people learn about virtues, how to make a difference between right and wrong. If that was lost, where will kids learn their values then? From society? Where there are liars, thiefs, frauds, hypocrisists, violent and selfish people? Or from cartoons, where a cat hits a mouse and the mouse hits it back? When languages die, songs and traditions die as well. Our ancestors use to dance and sing at parties
What does "being free" mean? Freedom plays an important role in our everyday life. It is hard to understand what "being free" mean as every person has his own view on it, which depends on our lifestyle and upbringings. There are a lot of kinds of freedom in the modern world. It can affect on people`s life positively as well as may cause different problems. To begin with, there are certain arguments in favour of being free. Firstly, people in developed countries have a freedom of speech. As a result, democratic policy in such regions offers a great opportunity to citizens to have their opinions heard and be considered. Moreover, some people suggest that being free mean material independence. If a man provide himself (materially), he is able to act as he wants to do it. In spite of having many advantages, being free may also be harmful for certain people. The most

The value of things VS the price of things A value can be much more than simple numbers, a value can show what memories, connections and contact people have with a thing. But what exactly is a thing? Well a thing is something lifeless, an item for a certain purpose, it’s something for certain use. When we take a look at the word named „price“, what does it mean? A price usually is seen as a number, as how much something costs. Things can be „overpriced“, but never „overvalued“. An item of high value could have no price, but at the same time an high priced item, could have no value. It’s this way because people see differently, people have different memories and emotions to remember. But as in this world today, price matters
"Animal Farm" is a book that reverberates that kind of human nature through politics, dictatorship and power, but in nowadays' World this kind of behaviour occurs also in our everyday life, not only politics. First of all humans are in a constant need of power. The essence of the power does not even matter as long as they have some kind of control. It could be control over some group, over a person and his mind, actions and thoughts or just over a certain situation where we want to gain a higher role so everything could be under their command. People are willing to do everything to get others under their control. In "Animal Farm" Napoleon's first act to gain his leadership was the betrayal of his fellow leader and friend Snowball. Napoleon and Snowball did not agree on their views of leading the farm and Napoleon, who could not deal with divided power, drove Snowball away. So do humans nowadays

Skills+motivation+attitude=success. True or not? Having a special skills in some speciality and having an exellent motivation to reach a certain goal and also having the right attitude, then probably that is enough to succeed alomost in everything. Having a certain goal to reach is never easy but when having all important qualities to work it out it is certainly easier than without trying hard enough. Those three qualities are extremely important for achiving a goal. When you have only one quality of those it is really hard to achive anything but taking two of these qualities would be enough to achive your goal, if you really want it.It would always be better to have all of these qualities, because having all of

the past few years. Although these computer-based courses are thought to be more convenient and inexpensive, there are still countless proponents to the traditional way of learning, who stand by social interaction and discipline. So which is more advantageous – an online class or a traditional class? To start off, online classes are more flexible than traditional classes. This is especially useful for people with families or a tight schedule, who only have certain periods of time available. Even though classes on the Internet often have a confirmed timeline, they still offer those lacking of spare time the opportunity to modify the time spent on the course they have chosen. In spite of online classes being more flexible, it can be hard to stay committed. This is the advantage of traditional classes – discipline. When students have appointed lessons it creates a routine
protection of property and resources accumulated by an emergent bourgeoisie. For this to happen Locke asserts that man must transcend from an individual state of perfect freedom in order to become a member of a unified, civil society. This creates a one body politic and it must act in favour of the majority will as it is the apparent final arbiter in how political power is exercised. Man must renounce certain natural liberties but in return for this concession he will receive protection from the government or sovereign body. This process, in Locke's view, is only achievable through the development of a consensus where everyone agrees to abide by majority rule, which a government or sovereign body then enacts. In Locke's view simply being in the confines of a society implies tacit consent, meaning it becomes mandatory to adhere to the law. Locke's claim can be argued to be both
Thirdly, although swearing may have positive sides as well, it is still seen as inappropriate or "bad language", which comes from bad manners or low education. Especially problematic is it when children swear, although they may not mean anything bad, or do not even know what the word means, they simply imitate, what they have heard from parents, for example. Usually, when a child swears, it may show to others, how the child`s parents have raised him/her. Of course there are certain situation as well, where swearing is unacceptable, for example formal events, among people who are complete strangers, with parents, grandparents, at school etc. Although swearing may be in some ways a positive phenomenon, people should use swear words only when really necessary or where it is acceptable. Of course, parents should teach their children, why they can not use certain words and how offensive they are. Actually all people swear and it has

The Universe, according to Douglas Adams The Universe is truly a magnificent phenomenon. It has remained unfathomable throughout history. Even in the Modern Era, where so much has already been achieved, we lack complete and certain answers to a plethora of questions about the Universe. Luckily, Douglas Adams already seems to have that covered in his book "Life, the Universe and Everything", which is the third installment in the series "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". Initially, Adams describes the idea of time travel. In real world physics, the concept has a very limited application. Yet according to him, most of the theory on time travel is incomprehensible
PIL regulates relations between states. Thats why PIL is important for international relation students. PIL influences the life of everybody, it doesn't regulate people directly but indirectly (through the decisions of the states), because it's everywhere. It's like air. E.g. when you want to send a letter to Brazil, you put a stamp from your own country and send it from your post office and the letter gets delivered. Why is this so easy, because there are certain international conventions that regulate postal services. E.g. traffic signs are almost the same everywhere, why? Because of certain int conventions that require the states to have more or less unified traffic signs. States apply international regulations to national regulations and they have to be in accordance with each other, the states can always specify these regulations. Therefore, PIL regulates people indirectly.
It is far from civilization, everything is pure, primitive, simple, untouched by man. This can be seen in Coleridge's "To Nature" (see below), where the author "builds his altar in the fields and the blue sky shall be his fretted dome". Romantic poets often expand upon this idea of nature providing a tranquil environment by actually bringing it to life and making it into something capable of having plans, ideas and actions. Nature can therefore not only create the place, but also perform certain actions, like dancing, breathing, thinking, planning, all to help the person in search of himself feel more in touch with nature by giving them a sense of company, a feeling that they are not alone but with a friend. This kind of personification is used in Wordsworth's "Lines written in early spring": /.../ And 'tis my faith that every flower Enjoys the air it breathes. /.../ The budding twigs spread out their fan, To catch the breezy air; /.../

reproduce and suppressed immune system. Impact on human health Shortterm exposure of humans to high levels of dioxins may result in skin lesions, such as chloracne and patchy darkening of the skin, and altered liver function. Longterm exposure is linked to impairment of the immune system, the developing nervous system, the endocrine system and reproductive functions. Due to the omnipresence of dioxins, all people have background exposure and a certain level of dioxins in the body, leading to the socalled body burden. Current normal background exposure is not expected to affect human health on average. However, due to the high toxic potential of this class of compounds, efforts need to be undertaken to reduce current background exposure. Sensitive subgroups The developing fetus is most sensitive to dioxin exposure. The newborn, with rapidly developing organ systems, may also be more vulnerable to certain effects

Vana-Vigala 2014 Overview ''Jane Eyre'' was published in 1847 and brought fame to its author, Charlotte Bronte. The book incorporates many themes: the relations between men and women, gender equality, the treatment of children and of women, religious faith and religious life and the notion of true love. The 2011 movie is a faithful and intelligent adaptation of the classic novel. The film follows the basic storyline closely although the approach to the story and the way certain characters are portrayed differs from the novel. Analysis The book describes her as being unremarkable in the way she looks. The film preserves this premise and therefore maintains the importance placed on her character. The film's interpretation of the harsh manner Mr. Brocklehurst and the rigid strictness of the school are the same as the novel. There film deviates in two ways, however. Firstly, the way
competence resides in municipally owned energy companies. They have system knowledge, which could be applicable in other countries. District-heating companies owned by Swedish municipalities must, for judicial reasons, limit their business abroad to sales of services, and to a very limited extent goods. For municipal district heating companies, domestic judicial restrictions are the first barriers to overcome before operations in other countries can commence. Only certain components for production and distribution of district heating are manufactured in a single country, which calls for international cooperation. The Swedish Government provides certain but limited support to promotion of district heating business abroad. For example, Swedish district heating consultants work abroad but it is seldom followed by goods export. financing the DH value chain Financing is a large barrier to district heating development. DH systems require large
Hedonism supposes that a decision is ethically correct if the consequence brings maximal satisfaction to the individual. Eudemonism replaces the word satisfaction by happiness. The difference between the two words is that satisfaction usually is short- term and focuses more on the senses. Happiness is something long-term and is more 'part' of a person than an experience its senses undergo. Utilitarianism believes a certain action should result in maximum happiness for the biggest group of people. The government should always think of the interests of the population. Eudemonism and hedonism are however more focused on the individual. Here, classical utilitarianism 1 justifications will be discussed (Ibid.). Classic utilitarianism departs from the idea that there are two intrinsic values, pain and happiness. Jeremy Bentham believed that happiness includes wellbeing and absence of pain

Dagö First time, when I heard band Dagö playing, was at Viljandi Folk Music Festival in 2007. I liked them very much and I went to all three concersts they gave at Festival. Although they have made music for about a decade, they have never been widely known. Maybe because they write and play music with their own style rather than try to win hearts and ears of masses. But always known in certain circle of people, who go to theatre and enjoy quality music, because lead singer of the band, Lauri Saataplu, is well-known actor and singer. I like their music, because of the addicting off-beat rythm they have. They have announced that their new album ,,Plan Delta" will be released in April of 2011.
Living in the country has acquired certain reputation, that indicates dirtiness, dullness and uncoiseness with a life in the countryside. True, that a life in the city may seem more entertaining, rapid and fastinating, but it's only an illusion which is brought out due to the commotion in the city. But life in the countryside is more healthy due to the unpolluted air, possibility to evolve agriculture and an elbowroom in which one can dabble sports. One negative side effect accompanies living in the country is absense of infrastructures. Many important institutions locate too far and due to that transportation is an important subject while living in the country. To sum up, living in the city is comfortable but noisy and living in the country is peaceful but time-consuming.

words. FIRST CONSONANT SHIFT (GRIMM'S LAW) Grimm's Law (also known as the First Germanic Sound Shift or Rask's rule) is a set of statements named after Jakob Grimm describing the inherited Proto-Indo-European (PIE) stop consonants as they developed in Proto-Germanic (the common ancestor of the Germanic branch of the Indo- European family) in the 1st millennium BC. It establishes a set of regular correspondences between early Germanic stops and fricatives and the stop consonants of certain other centum Indo-European languages (Grimm used mostly Latin and Greek for illustration). Grimm's law consists of three parts which form consecutive phases in the sense of a chain shift. [1] The phases are usually constructed as follows: - Proto-Indo-European voiceless stops change into voiceless fricatives. - Proto-Indo-European voiced stops become voiceless stops. - Proto-Indo-European voiced aspirated stops become voiced stops or fricatives (as allophones).
