Tallinn Town Hall Square and Town Hall

Since 1975 the Town Hall functions as the ceremonial building of the city government, but it also serves as a concert hall and a museum. The tower The tower was constructed together with the Town Hall in 1402 1404. The original Gothic pyramidal spire was replaced by a Late- Renaissance spire in 1627. The height of the Town Hall from the bottom of the arcade to the top of the spire is 64 meters. The spire was destroyed in an aerial bombing on March 9, 1944. It was rebuilt in 1952. Tallinn Town Council used to have its own guards, who maintained order in town and watched for possible enemy troops or destructive fire from the tower. When something endangered the city, an alarm bell in the belfry was rung. The square Throughout the centuries, the Town Hall Square has been used as a market square and gathering place. The square in front of the Town Hall was used for

Writers would hit as many cars as possible, tagging inside the trains while it rides station to station. It wasn't long before they discover that many more subway cars could be done inside the train yard with more time to paint and less chance of getting caught. The concept and method of bombing are now established. Every line has its King. A king is a writer whose pieces are the most visible, biggest and most beautiful. Kings are respected by other writers who sometimes ask them to help paint pieces at night. In 1975 all the standards has been set. Boston Marathon bombing: FBI reveals pressure cooker clues Bombs that targeted the Boston Marathon on Monday may have been packed in pressure cookers. Three people were killed and more than 170 injured when two bombs exploded near the finish line of Monday's race.FBI Special Agent Richard DesLauriers told a news conference that pieces of nylon had been recovered from the scene, along with fragments of ball bearings and nails that were "possibly contained in a pressure-cooker device".He said they were being sent to the agency's laboratory in Quantico, Virginia, where experts would reconstruct the devices to determine their make-up and components The BBC's Paul Adams, in Boston, says vigils for the victims were held across the city on Tuesday night as Bostonians still wrestled with why anyone would want to attack their much-loved marathon. Associated Press quoted a source close to the investigation as saying that the bombs consisted of...

Some consider this to be manipulation and exploitation of the media.[62] Others consider terrorism itself to be a symptom of a highly controlled mass media, which does not otherwise give voice to alternative viewpoints, a view expressed by Paul Watson who has stated that controlled media is responsible for terrorism, because "you cannot get your information across any other way". feeding won the suffragettes great sympathy from the public. The government passed a law that allowed the release of prisoners who were about to die from malnourishment. A new suffrage bill was introduced in 1910, but growing impatient, the WSPU launched a heightened campaign of protest in 1912 on the basis of targeting property and avoiding violence against any person. Initially this involved smashing shop windows, but ultimately escalated to burning stately homes and bombing public buildings including Westminster Abbey. It also famously led to the death of Emily Davison as she was trampled by the King's horse, Anmer, (over which she was attempting to drape a suffragette banner) at the Epsom Derby in 1913. In 1928, women got the same voting rights as men(voting age 21).

Terrorism is a criminal act. So, whether the terrorist chooses to identify himself with military terminology, or with civilian term, he is a criminal either way. Terrorism is classified into six categories: civil disorder, political terrorism, non- political terrorism, quasi-terrorism, limited politival terrorist, official or state terrorism. These categories are further divided into different types. For example, Germany's bombing of London and the U.S. atomic destruction of Hiroshima during World War II are called state terrorism. Nowadays, cyberterrorism becomes more and more common and in consideration the importance of IT today (for example if we watch how important have IT became in Estonia), it's dangerous for all of us. The United States of America

The Union included all of the free states and the five slaveholding border states and was led by Abraham Lincoln and the Republican Party. Republicans opposed the expansion of slavery into territories owned by the United States, and their victory in the presidential election of 1860 resulted in seven Southern states declaring their secession from the Union even before Lincoln took office. The Union rejected secession, regarding it as rebellion. The war began in 1861 with the bombing at Fort Sumter in South Carolina. After 4 years of war, the South finally surrendered and the Confederate States of America was destroyed. Political system The U.S.A is a federation and a democracy. It is made up of 51 States. Each State has its own government and there is a Federal Government for the whole country. It is a democracy because the government leaders are elected by the people. For Americans, democracy means more than majority rule. It also means minority rights.

Before the recommended repairs could be undertaken, the cathedral was destroyed in the Great Fire of London in 1666. The ruins were demolished and a new design by Wren, the one we see today, was built. The only surviving artifact from the old Cathedral was a statue of John Donne which can now be seen in the South Aisle. Building was completed 1710. During the Second World War's Blitz, St Paul's Cathedral became a great symbol of how Londoners could 'take it'. After each night's bombing, there was St Paul's, still intact. That is not to say it survived unscathed. A bomb hit the north transept and another destroyed the High Altar which was replaced by one commemorating the dead of the First and Second World Wars. The chapel behind the High Altar, also damaged, was restored. It is called the American Chapel and dedicated to the Americans who died in Britain during the Second World War. The aircraft became a household name, and coincidently was part of the name of the royal family. These bombings were coupled with the abdication of King George's first cousin, Nicholas II, the Tsar of Russia on 15 March 1917, which raised the specter of the eventual abolition of all the monarchies in Europe. The King and his family were finally convinced to abandon all titles held under the German Crown, and to change German titles and house names to anglicized versions

The Relations Between The USA and Iraq

According to former U.S. intelligence officials, the CIA orchestrated a bomb and sabotage campaign between 1992 and 1995 in Iraq via one of the insurgent organizations, the Iraqi National Accord. The Iraqi government at the time claimed that the bombs, including one exploded in a movie theater, resulted in many civilian casualties. In 1996, Amneh al-Khadami, who described himself as the chief bomb maker for the Iraqi National Accord, recorded a videotape in which he talked of the bombing campaign and complained that he was being shortchanged money and supplies. However this campaign had no apparent effect in toppling Saddam Hussein's rule. In October 1998, regime change became official with the U.S. Policy enactment of the "Iraq Liberation Act"(ILA). The ILA is a United States Congressional statement of policy calling for regime change in Iraq. 2000s On 11 September 2001 a series of coordinated suicide attacks were made by Iraqi terrorist,

During the summer and autumn of 1940, British aircraft tried to prevent Germans from bombing British cities. This was called the Battle of Britain. The British were successful. However, in the 1920s and 30s a great leap forward in the use of rockets took place with the introduction of liquid fuel. This made rockets much more powerful. The new rockets were so impressive that for the first time people began to seriously think about using rockets to take people to space. The development of the space rockets took place during World War II. It was the Germans who built the first really big rockets, as a way of bombing Britain without needing to use aircraft. First the V1 was built and then later the V2 - a more powerful rocket which was able to carry a large warhead of explosives to Britain. After the war, the Soviet Union and the United States took German rocket technology back to their countries. The main motive was to build rockets to launch nuclear missiles. The idea of using military rockets to launch a satellite was really an afterthought.

When he was producing his books American society had become automated, operated by machines. As a result, millions of people lost their jobs because of the robots. He was aware of the mass society, mass production and he did not like it. He makes fun of the idea. The most important event of his life was the bombing of dresden. Vonnegut, being an American, feels responsible for that-there was no reason to bomb dresden at all. He feels that americans and he as well have to atone for this horrible slaughter of the civilians. The world of his novels is mostly hostile and ridiculous and very often absurd. Black humour became very popular in the 1960's.
