Capital Punishment Should be Abolished

Capital Punishment Should be Abolished

It has been abolished by many states and countries, and we must look forward to the day when all the governments will follow this. It's a murder. The first question that comes to mind is, is it ethically acceptable to kill someone? When you execute a person, what is the difference between you and the criminal who has committed the crime of killing another individual. Furthermore, capital punishment can be inappropriate and unjust. It's not necessary. There is always a solution to the problem, instead of putting people to death sentence we could simply put them behind bars as he or she may improve himself. For instance, persons who have served life sentences have most of the time change their attitudes and their behaviors and have also made worthwhile contribution to the society.

through travelling. Some of their ideas dealt with Judicial and majority ideas. They did not agree with the system of rulement, and that is the first thing how they helped and teached to make society better and maintain sucessfully. These main ideas came from England but they also reached to Europa countries, but through France.Clergymen were against these ideas and they tried to stop the spread of new ideas, but they were not sucessful.Baccaria was against unjust punishments and such of that manner. This idea related to the Declaration as the framers wrote of how the king protected his soldiers from punishments of crimes, while the king waged destruction on the people of the thirteen colonies as punishment for their rebellions. The constitution replicates Baccaria's idea in its text about the judicial system. People are granted trials of all crimes by jury. With fair trials, punishments would be just.

Why do we need morality?

Even if one day they break the moral code, they will feel guilty and know that it was wrong. The main difference between religion and morality is that morality is more reasonal while religion relies on beliefs. Morality is a big part of religion. Belief guides people towards morality, as religious people think that God sees and judges all our actions. Law is related to morality as well as religion. In the perfect word morality should be the basis of law. But in real world there are unjust laws and immoral acts that cannot be legally enforced. The law cannot judge human motives and intentions as well and that is why the law is much more shallower. One can be morally evil, intending to do evil things, but as long as he won't do them, he is legally innocent. The relationship between morality and etiquette is that etiquette varies greatly in different cultures and is usually morally neutral. For example one

is a legally constituted authority. Law is still law and must be obeyed and therefore human nature or morality is not of concern. The validity is in law itself and is sufficient evidence that it must be followed. Natural law on the other hand is legal rights or ‘’law’’ in the moral itself. It mean that the right thing is not what the law says, but the morals that the society creates are right and valid. Everything that is against human nature is unjust or immoral and moral is the only right ‘’law’’ by nature. WHO OF THEM IS RIGHT: MATERIALISM OR IDEALISM AND WHY? Materialism is a philosophical trend or school that states that everything material is created by physical matter itself. Matter in fact is the fundamental essence of materialism. The human mind, everything we touch and see are the byproducts of different material processes that happen around us. Materialist concept of life starts with production of life to support human

concept of majority will is rendered meaningless. As the fiduciary agreement is at the core of Locke's argument for legitimising government, it becomes apparent that it can only address certain interests, inevitably lead to further inequality. For example Marx and Engels (1978, p. 15) argue that the executive of the modern state is but a committee for managing the common affairs of the bourgeoisie. Locke's prerogative is that absolute government of the kind advocated by Hobbes is unjust because it is not in the interest or will of the majority and can easily lead to tyranny. Locke's theory of limited government is more progressive, as opposed to Hobbes account, as it is the majority will that is the supreme power, but it is important to ask who the majority is as this remains a valid question. Around the time of Locke's major works only certain groups within British society were allowed to take part in the democratic process, these were male

Larkin is claimed, for example, to resist translation, foreign languages in general, specific developments in English poetry, the academic prerequisites of poetry, time, the world, mass civilization, loss of traditional respect for rhyme, modernity, the War, conservative ideals with respect to sexual and social politics, unjust treatment, traditional modes of understanding, hostile attitudes towards the enemy, commercialization, aggressive and demeaning self-interest characteristic of the final decades of the twentieth century, Modernist fragmentation, the language of public discourse, and inarticulate middle-class prosperity”. In my reading, this gives evidence of Larkin’s strong “resistance” to restricting the meanings of his poems. Political readings are always possible, but they are not

Dimmesdale in The Scarlet Letter is the ultimate incarnation of hypocrisy. He represents how the Puritan ideals had been twisted into something that reeked of hypocrisy. Dimmesdale pretended to be a good, just, and wise minister, in reality, he was a bad, unjust, and foolish. Dimmesdale recognizes the danger of hypocrisy, but his character is too weak to avoid the pitfall of hypocrisy. The third character of Roger Chillingworth is a man who at one point was guided by intellect, and not his emotions. He pretends to be Dimmesdale's friend, but inflicts grievous wounds upon the reverend. for the man who aspired to be the foremost citizen of the state, unless with the income from it he could maintain an army. Fine establishments and the comforts of life in elegance and abundance also afford pleasure, and the desire to secure it gives rise to the insatiable thirst for wealth. Still, I do not mean to find fault with the accumulation of property, provided it hurts nobody, but unjust acquisition of it is always to be avoided. The great majority of people, however, when they fall a prey to ambition for either military or civil authority, are carried away by it so completely that they quite lose sight of the claims of justice. For Ennius says: There is no fellowship inviolate, No faith is kept, when kingship is concerned; and the truth of his words has an uncommonly wide application. He is fascinated with outcasts, the alienated, the outsiders, people who have been beated with life, the descenters-those who don't agree with the majority are the descenters, they are interested in those people. The book follows the lives of nine characters. All aspects of the lives are represented to us, the rich are corrupt, the poor may be not so corrupt, decent, but they can accomplish nothing because they are poor. The unjust triumph and the whole trilogy ends with a memorable sketch of a young harmless hitchhiker who wants to catch a car on a highway that leads nowhere. The final scene is the big indictment-critisism of america, road to nowhere. It is one of the experimental novels. The narrative structure is very complex. 12 fictional narratvies each told from the point of view, interrupted by three formal devices. The first device is the Newsreels, then the second is simply biographies and the third the camera

Different approach to IHL (in Slavic cultures): HR at peace time (regular HR, which can overlap with IHL), HR at war time (Geneva law), rules and customs of warfare (Hague law). It regulates how to start war, just war, unjust war, etc., since war was a legal tool. After the UN Charter use of war was prohibited, except for 2 excuses. Now it's part of the law of international security. Difference is important because one does not derive from the other. IHL is still needed even though war is prohibited, however, war still happens, there are victims etc, so it's basically for protection. IHL develops very quickly. Actions which were normal during the Vietnam war are now prohibited and a war crime. E.g

Committee recommended that the teacher training curriculum should `incorporate education about the Convention on the Rights of the Child. It recommended that teaching methods should be inspired by and reflect the spirit and philosophy of the Convention…`.19 However, the criticism by the UN Committee was met with an outrage by the UK government and media as there was a strong belief that the UK is one of the leading countries in the protection of children.20 There was the sentiment of unjust accusation given to the poor record of respecting children in many other countries. The `protectionist` approach towards children trenchantly illustrates the fact that the nature of the Convention and its purpose was clearly underestimated by the UK.21 Gerison Lansdown argues that the UK commodiously failed to place emphasis on respecting children`s right to express a view in all matters of concern and have these views taken seriously in a variety of social settings in which they live

The ultimate truth of who you are is not in I am this or I am that, but I Am. Not everybody who experiences great loss also experiences this awakening, this disidentification from form. Some immediately create a strong mental image or thought form in which they see themselves as a victim, whether it be of circumstances, other people, an unjust fate, or God. This thought form and the emotions it creates, such as anger, resentment, self-pity, and so on, they strongly identify with, and it immediately takes the place of all the other identifications that have collapsed through the loss.
