Simple Plan.
Simple Plan is a French Canadian pop punk band . It consists of five members : Jeff Stinco, who plays the lead guitar, Chuck Comeau, who plays the drums, Pierre Bouvier, who is the lead vocals and plays occasional guitar, Sebastien Lefebvre, who is the vocals and plays the rhythm guitar and David Desrosiers, who is the vocals and plays the bass guitar.
The history of the band began already in 1993, when two 13- year -old boys from Montreal , Pierre and Chuck, founded a band named Reset with two other guys. The band performed all over Canada with other punk bands and their first album was released in 1997. Chuck soon left from the band because of college and founded another band with David, Sebastien and Jeff. When Pierre again joined that band as a lead vocalist, Simple Plan was formed . They recorded only a few demos , when they got a contract with Lava Records. They gained a lot of attention with their first hit “I’m Just a Kid”.
Bands first album, “No Pads, No Helmets … Just Balls”, rose to the top of charts on 19th March 2002, on the day it was released. Over 2 million copies of that record were sold .
Simple Plan has performed with very many bands, beginning with Rancid and ending with Aerosmith. They have also taken part in three Vans Warped tours, whereas in two of them they were the main performers and they have won MTV Video Music Awards .
In 2003, Pierre and Chuck spent a lot time in Vancouver , writing songs for their next album. The producer of that album was Bob Rock, a man, who has also produced some of Metallica’s and Bon Jovi’s greatest albums. That album was called “Still Not Getting Any”. Those eleven songs proved that Simple Plan is not a punk band, not a pop or rock band; it’s just a band, who wants to write songs that their fans like and to make a really good show. The album was released on 26th October 2004.
But before that, Simple Plan debuted in film music in the film “New York Minute” with the Olsen twins, Mary -Kate and Ashley, which hit the screens in spring of 2004. Simple Plan also wrote music to the films “Scooby Doo” and “Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed”.
“Untitled”, also know as “How Could This Happen to me?” video came out in May 2005. “Crazy” and “Addicted” videos were released in October.
On 4th October 2005 album “MTV Hard Rock Live ” was released. It had all the best songs of Simple Plan on it, also acoustic versions of “Crazy”, “ Welcome to My Life” and “ Perfect ”.
In January 2006 they opened their own website , which consisted of all the latest news of the band.
Simple Plan started recording their third album in July 2007 and its presentation started on their website on 29th October. On the same the day, their first single of that album, “When I’m Gone ”, hit the radios and its video was introduced on 12th December. The album itself, called “Simple Plan”, was released on 12th February 2008. The next single, “Your Love Is a Lie” was presented in radios from the end of February and its video was released in March. In October 2008 video of “Save You” was released. This video was inspired of Pierre’s brother ’s three- years -lasted fight with cancer .

On 28th October 2008 Simple Plan performed in Tallinn, in Rock Café.
Over all, Simple Plan has sold over 7 million albums and is known for very energetic concerts.
