What are the Estonians like?

What are the Estonians like? Estonia is a very small country, therefore its population is quite small. We, Estonians, are very friendly and care about each other. When our country is going through rough times , we stick together and try to go through them as one . There aren't many riots in our country, because we aren't violent people. We like to stay quiet, so only a few of us have the courage to say their opinion out loud. Estonians have quite good manners. We say hi to each other and we often say sorry, even if our acts aren't so bad. There are also many gentlemen in Estonia, who open doors for women and make a lot of compliments. I really like that, because one opened door or one little compliment can make your mood for the entire day. Our country has four seasons and every season changes our mood. In summer and winter

food is well-cooked and looks beautiful. The prices of food are resonable. What is more the drinks were cheap. Service The staff was friendly and helpful they can make very helpful suggestions about the menu. However, the service is a bit slow at times, especially at the lunch hours. Atmosphere The restaurant has a friendly relaxed atmosphere. You can not help but be in a good mood while you are there, because of the cheerful music. However the music is too loud sometimes, so you cant hear the waitresses. Although the lihgting is a bit poor, so it is difficult to read the menu. Conclusion In conclusion, althouhg the music can be loud and the service might be slow or that the lighting is poor, Marco´s is a perfect place to go and have your lunch, because of the good prices and atmosphere. I certainly recommend everyone to have their luch or dinner at Marco´s.

Tourists in Estonia

Tourists in Estonia Everyday a we can see a ship-load of Finland tourists. And they are here for only one thing. Finns are not anyone who would like to see Estonian sight-seeings or old-town, they are here for cheap alcohol. Regular Finn are an over-weight and very loud, usually because they are drunk. And our hotels are full of Finns. If you ever visit a passenger-port and see a person who have one or more luggage carriers full of export beer boxes then you have seen our north-neighbour. The Brits Usually here are only British bachelors who want to have a stag party in our pubs. These kind of Brits are very annoying. But here are also nice old Brits, much less than bachelors but still some

A New Beginning

A NEW BEGINNING It was a dark and a silent night, when two young riders dressed within black rushed across the Devil`s Field. Suddenly one of them stopped and glanced at the moonless sky. His horse felt nervous, imitating the feelings of his rider. The other man seized his horse as well and looked at his companion in a curious way. After a minute or two spent in abnormal silence the first rider cried out as loud as he could: "Run!" The second man jumped off his horse and rushed to the forest that was waiting some meters ahead. But then he remembered about the other rider, but when he turned the Devil`s Field was empty. His companion was gone as well the horses. The man was seriously scared now, but since he was one of the Royal Solders fear was not allowed to be shown in public. So he drew his half-iron, half-silver sword and

along the street. The first house they came to was creepy- looking. A long sidewalk lead up to a front porch. In the moonlight, the house looked deserted. John whispered, "I think I remember somebody telling me that this house is haunted." "No way," Ben said, pushing open the gate. Suddenly, a strong gust of wind rustled the leaves and a loud crash came from the porch. Both friends jumped at the noise. "It's just the wind," Ben said a little shakily. Although Ben and John felt a little nervous, they walked slowly through the creaky front gate and up the long sidewalk. The old stairs creaked as they climbed onto the porch. Lying on the floor of the porch they saw a broken flower pot. "That's what made the loud crash we heard," Ben said. "See? There's nothing scary here

She quickly figures out your mainstream style, disturbing way of pushing back your hair every one in a while and the lack of personality you have. And she most certainly makes sure to share her views with her friend in a loud enough voice so that you ought to be deaf not to hear it. Indeed, Lily loves attention. You could recognise her laugh from a mile away because she laughes oh so loudly. You simply can't help yourself but to start laughing with her, but actually laugh at her laugh. At least it's good to know that Lila doesn't mind. Or if she does she hides it well enough because from an outsiders view point it seems that Lila simply doesn't care what others think of her. Report: INTERNATIONAL DAY

food and dancing was excelent. Most of them were pleased with that kind of event and many are looking forward to next. All in all the students were satisfied. Planning and Organisation It was found that it was planned rather last-minute and few people ended up doing all the work. It seems that people did not know, what was happening. One presentation tended to be boring and last too long. Equipment and Rooms There were some problems with equipment also: slide projector got stuck, music was not loud enough, rice cooker was not available and there was too little room for dancing. Everything else was working properly. Suggestions Firstly the Planning Committee should be formed. Secondly the timetable of events must be available and all the equipment should be checked before the event. The college should build up collection of CDs and provide free soft drinks/coffee.

market. In the United States, Born This Way sold 1.108 million copies in its first week the largest first-week album sales in five years. The hit singles are "Born This Way", "Judas", "The Edge of Glory", and "You and I". I think this is a really amazing album with some different forms of instrumentation which have not been used on her previous releases. Gaga is very good singer and her voice is different from most other singers, because her voice is awesome and loud. My favorite track is "Marry the night". The only negative thing I would say about the album is that the bad taste and mocking of Christianity. This CD gets better the more you listen to it. I would definitely recommend buying it.

Why do I need to speak English in English class?

this ability's full capacity, I must study every day. As to languages, constant improving is even more important because this is how the know-how of the language develops. It is the second important reason why I should use English more frequently in English classes. We like to think that English is so much part of our lives, since we hear it every day in interactive media, for example TV. But actually if I do not speak the language out loud, it may happen that my spoken language never reaches its potential level, therefore it is very important to speak English out load, especially in English classes, where the teacher can correct me.

Advantages and disadvantages of living in a big city

Advantages and disadvantages of living in a big city Big citys are full of fast cars, huge biuldings and overcrowded streets. Living in a big city is good because all the shops are near you, but in a city there are more stealing than in a country and you may have some noisy neighbors. Firstly, in a city there are lots of shops where you can buy everything you need. There are bigger grocery stores with bigger variety of products than in the countryside. Also there are many drapers. People who live in the countryside have to drive to the city when they want to buy clothes, but people who live in the city can buy clothes whenever they want. Secondly, in a city may happen that some very noisy people move next to you. They could disturb you and you may have to call to the police very often. It is very usual that people who live in a city can not get enough sleep, because their neighbors listens too loud music. Thirdly, in a city the...

English language history

The main difference between Early Modern English and Late Modern English is vocabulary. Late Modern English has many more words because the Industrial Revolution and technology created a need for new words; and the English language adopted foreign words from many countries. The global english is the simple english were you now the basics but you have to use your bodylanguage to for people to understand. In the internet english they shorte the words like LOL- laughing out loud etc I think that it's better if you know one language in C1/2 because then you can communicat with people better

Retsensioon: One republic

Retsensioon Mina käsisin 11.novembril Saku suurhallis vaatamas One Republicu kontserdi. One republic on pop roki bänd Coloradost. Bänd loodi aastal 2002. Aastal Ryan Tedderi ja Zach Filkinsi poolt. Bänd tegi oma esimese albumi produtsent Greg Wellsiga suvel ja 2005 aasta sügisel oma stuudio. Aaastal 2007. Andis One republic välja oma debüütalbumi „Dreaming Out Loud“. Nende singel „Apologize“ sai tohutu rahvusvahelise edu. Nende lauludest kõike rohkem kuulamisi on saanud „Counting Stars“. Minule meeldis see kontsert väga. Ma lähen kindlasti uuesti nende kontserdile, kui nad jälle Eestisse tagasi tulevad. Nad esitasid umbes 10 laulu. Osad laulud polnud ka nende omad, vaid olid teiste artistide omad, aga nad laulsid neid väga hästi. Kogu kontsert oli väga hästi lavastatud. Peale laule oli akplaus ja karjumine väga suur, sest rahvale tohutult meeldis see. Minu lemmik laulud olid: „Counting Sta...

English story "Fatal Walk"

My way back wasn't very pleasurable. I had always been afraid of those dark unlit side- streets but that walk had been good for me so I wasn't afraid that time. But then I heard screaming from one street. I didn't dare to go there but I peeked around the corner and I saw two men fighting with each other. One man had a gun and he was wearing a black mask. The other man was a typical businessman. I didn't hear what they were talking about but then I heard a loud and clear shot and I saw the businessman falling down to the ground. I yelled quietly and ran away because I understood that the man saw me watching him. I ran constantly and all the time had on the brain that I was in terrible danger. I hated that I had left my mobile phone to home to be in privacy, I needed it. I was tired to death of running. I was watching back all the time and eventually I didn't see him anymore but I kept running

Logical argument

... the whole point of marriage is to live together and possibly raise a family. In that case, it's obvious that children are a commitment for life. Yes, but other things happen in the world which aren't violent. Well, maybe they don't qualify as news. In that case, you're saying that news isn't representative of what's happening around us. They're probably warmer and more friendly, but they're often very loud and extrovert to go with it. So you prefer the British character? Likewise, strikes among teachers can severely disrupt the education of our children. So you don't think everybody should have the right to strike? 8.4 Strongly argued questions with "Why" Why have we got to create large institutional families? If people decide to have children, then they should value family life.

Dzäss Eestis

EESTI DZÄSSIAJALUGU Ilma dzässihelideta ei kujutaks Eestit ette vist keegi. Aastakümnetega on dzässist saanud midagi, mis on kogu aeg justkui olemas olnud ning mille puudumine tundub sama võimatu kui nafta lõppemine. Esimene katse dzässi mängida jääb Tallinnas aastasse 1918, kui hotellis ´Kommerz` alustas tegevust tundmatu nimega koolipoisteorkester. Samast orkestrist kasvas välja esimene professionaalne dzässansambel `The Murphy Band.` Eesti esimestel dzässmuusikutel puudusid selged eeskujud ja autoriteedid.

Gothic story

Home alone Ella was left all alone in the mansion. She hated that but since she was only seventeen her opinion was often unheard. Nobody cared that she hadn't even wanted to move there. A big house with three storeys and an attic is usually the place where all scary movies take place and she knew that. Ella was feeling terrified. She was on the ground floor, in the living room. It wasn't exactly the best place to be in, since the walls of the room were covered with old paintings of men with harrowing looks in their eyes, eyes that seemed to be moving. But she couldn't move. The thought of being anywhere, closer to the attic made her faint. Ella was sitting on the couch and listening to her favourite song, trying not to hear the howling wind and the baying of distant dogs outside. The volume was set almost unbearably loud because she knew that all scary movies started with the main character he...

The statue is situated in the schoolyard of Reaalkool and it is named "Reaali poiss" which can be translated into English as the Boy from Reaalkool. (point to the picture of the statue) On the statue are Horatio's words: "What joy, for fatherland to die!" Our school has the tradition of visiting this statue and also reading out loud all the names of the boys from our school, who deceased in the war, during the Independence Day assembly.

The Monk (est: MUNK): Describe him in terms of his personality? What are his views about religion? What is his passion? How was he dressed? Most monks of the Middle Ages lived in monasteries according to the Rule of Saint Benedict, which demanded that they devote their lives to "work and prayer." This Monk cares little for the Rule; his devotion is to hunting and eating. He is large, loud, and well clad in hunting boots and furs. The Friar (est: KERJUSMUNK): Describe him in terms of his personality. How does he earn his living? What gifts did he have for women? Describe his feelings towards the poor? How does the narrator describe his clothing? What is his name? Roaming priests with no ties to a monastery, friars were a great object of criticism in Chaucer's time. Always ready to befriend young women or rich men who might need his services, the friar

Tal olid head muusikaõpetajad, kes suunasid andeka nooruki just õigetele radadele. Pine oli kõigest 22, kui 1987. aastal ilmus tema debüütalbum Journey To The Urge Within, mis äratas kohe tähelepanu . Järgnesid Destiny' s Song ja The Vision Tale ning üheksakümnendate aastate esimesel poolel Closer To Home, Within The Realms of Our Dreams, The Eyes of Creation. 1996. aastal omistati plaadile mainekamaid inglise muusikaauhindu Mercury Prize. 1997. aasta sügisel ilmunud Underground tõstis Courtney Pine'i nime moodsa

Giving opinion

Scientists don't understand everything, but they often observe links between certain phenomena. I suppose that if they own these homes, they must be in nice locations. I don't suppose their grandparents will know what the search commands are. I think it's probably possible to generalize about what is eaten at main meal-times. There's probably a good argument for raising income support. They're probably warmer and more friendly, but they're very loud and extrovert to go with it. I'm beginning to think it would be a good thing if we were shown genocide... if war correspondents showed us what they meant by collateral damage....

Walking for meetings - analysis of a Nilofer Merchant presentation

perfect and she did not seem nervous. To sum up the whole presentation she used some funny words and pointed at her lower back as in the beginning of the presentation. This was used to make people more lively and to let them know that the presentation is about to end. Also she encouraged the audience to move more and told that her life quality has increased greatly due to moving and having meetings while walking. In addition, she used a rhyme to make sure that her message is said out loud and clear - “walk and talk, walk and talk”. I think she reached the goal with her rhyme and whole presentation. At least I started to think differently after listening to her presentation.

Character sketch - Melanie, Oranges are not the only fruit by Jeanette Winterson

hand Melanie pushed hers into the air. Churchgoers prayed for her and Jeanette started going to Melanie's each Monday to read the Bible together and pray. Girls became friends, but soon after felt differently towards each other. `Do you think this is Unnatural Passion?' asked Jeanette once. `Doesn't feel like it. According to Pastor Finch, that's awful.' answered Melanie. The more they spent time together, the stronger their feelings got though neither of them admitted it out loud. However, everything changed after Jeanette told her mother about Melanie. Next time in church the girls were ambushed. `These children of God,' began the pastor, `have fallen under Satan's spell.' When asked, Jeanette admits that she loves Melanie, but Melanie isn't as strong as her lover and she promises to the pastor that she will give up the sin and beg the Lord to forgive her. Melanie is a docile person and a weak soul who refuses to follow her true desires

Kitarrikursus algajatele 3osa-Ben Edwards

This lesson will be similar to the second part of lesson two, however I plan to introduce you to the chord G. Once you have mastered G, we will try and practice changing between the three chords we have learnt; D, A, and G. Let's take a look at the G major chord: Exercise: With this exercise, I want to get you strumming up and down. I would like to introduce to you a new technique to help with your playing. When you are practicing the lesson above I would like you to count out loud. This sounds easier than it is, but it is something you need to learn and it is an achievable skill. It works like this; on your down strum I want you to count "1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4" and on the up strum I would like you to say "and". So you should be saying "1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and 1 and 2 and 3 and 4". Most guitar music is broken down into beats of four. This is not something you need to worry about at this stage, but it is something you should be aware of. Try the

Nowadays, thanks to the microphones, arrangers and composers have started to use flute on a regular basis(f.e saxophone players in big bands are required to play 2 instruments(double), most cases(Clarinet and Flute). Before 50s though, it had little use because of the low volume, Dancing halls and jazz clubs in 20s to 40s required a loud solo instrument to fill a big hall (Trumper, Saxophone) Although, we know jazzflute started to emerge in 20s. The earliest known recording of a jazzflute being used as solo instrument, was by Cuban clarnetist Alberto Socarras, recording "Shooting the Pistol" with Clarence Williams band and setting a milestone for future jazzflutist. While acknowleding the contribution to the early pioneers, jazz historians credit

The New Beginning II

" he whispered sadly. "No!" she cried, but Edward turned fast away and in a few moments was gone. The princess looked at the big oval mirror that was standing by the window and seemed surprised of her own temper. She looked still confused when her mother, the beloved queen Alice of the Scots, entered the main hall. "Well, well, well..." the old woman said looking at her pale daughter, "May I at least know whom this lucky man is?" Eliza was staring in bold air not noticing even the loud question. The queen laughed and walked to the library. "A baby..." whispered the young lady suddenly. Alice stopped and seemed very surprised. "Yes, my dear?" she said, "What baby?" Eliza waved dreamy her hand and left for the Royal Garden, where the soldiers were situated. The old queen got really curious: what on earth Eliza was talking about? But she was a smart woman so she thought, "I'm sure she'll tell me one nice day what is happening here after all, we are all young only once..."

When the blockage is released a burst of air is released with a sound (plosion). Plosives divide into:  Bilabial – the stop is made by two contracting lips

Sheep senses and social cognition

interested they chose male faces every time. Color perception Contrary to previous thought, sheep and other livestock perceive colors, though their color vision is not as well-developed as it is in humans. Sheep will react with fear to new colors. Hearing Sheep have excellent hearing. They can direct their ears in the direction of a sound. Sound arrives at each ear at slightly different times, with a small difference in amplitude. Sheep are frightened by high-pitched and loud noises, such as barking dogs or firecrackers. Smell Sheep have an excellent sense of smell. They are very sensitive to what different predators smell like. Also they can smell their caretaker, its learned by food reward. Smell helps rams locate ewes in heat and ewes locate their lambs. Sheep also use their sense of smell to locate water and determine subtle or major differences between feeds and pasture. Taste The sense of taste in sheep is probably not as important as the other senses
