bicycles and so forth. What is more, there will be very few green areas in town. Obviously, this is very unhealthy, as people need fresh air and natural surroundings for good health. Finally, the town will be crowded and built up. This will mean that there will be more traffic and pollution, and the town will no longer be a nice place to live. To sum up, I think it is a terrible idea. I hope that the council will find a better way to deal with Longheath Park. Maybe they will find some investors who are interested in improving facilities and carrying out other restoration work. Yours faithfully, Name

Aaaa, for example, I want to watch the Matrix, beautiful film, but my woman could decide to rewatch all seasons of American Idol. After such situations we usually begin to argue and fight. She doesn’t even want to listen to me! Dr. McLovin : Hmmm. Now I can predict primary treatment. U need to try to find compromises. So balance will appear in your life.

Film review

Robert Carlyle. The film is set in Thailand. The main character is a young American man who travels to Thailand in search of the perfect vacation. During a stay in Bangkok, he meets a mysterious man who tells him about a secret beach. Richard then heads for southern Thailand in search of the island. Along the way, he meets a young French couple, Françoise and Étienne and he shares the secret of the island with them. The three then start to find the island and finally they get there. Heading further inland, they find a hidden beach where a small clan of travellers has settled. After their arrival many scary things start to happen. The film was very interesting and it is definitely one of the best movies I have ever seen. I have seen it for about 4 times and I still watch it with great interest. I would recommend it to anyone who likes adventures.

Assessment Report!

However, their normal prices aren't much cheaper than the prices at other supermarkets. Variety of Products The supermarket has thousands of different product to choose from which are divided to different sections. There are many different counters, such as a meat counter, a bakery and a cosmetics counter. On the downside, there isn't a wide choice of brands. Convenience All the shelves have been placed to be convenient for the customers. It is easy to find what one needs. Moreover, all the shopping can be done in one place as they have all the needed products. Although the products satisfy the customers, parking spaces are hard to find. Also, the supermarket is a long way from the town centre. Conclusion In conclusion, i would say that the local supermarket satisfies many requirements. The prices are low and they have most of the products needed. The parking lot and the variety of brands, however, could be improved.

To: Mare Kallas From: Paula Hõbe Subject: Selver Date: 2th October Introduction The purpose of this report is to describe and give an assesment of a supermarket named Selver which is part of a large national chain. Convenience and Comfort To begin with there are a lot of different sections for example a meat counter, a bakery and a cosmetics counter. So you can save a lot of time because you can do all your shopping in one place. Furthermore the way the shelves are arranged makes it easy to find what you want. However Selver supermarkets are quite far from the town centre, and sometimes it may be hard to find a parking space. Prices You can save a lot of money by buying their own brand of goods. In addition they have many extremely cheap special offers. Although their normal prices are not cheaper than the prices at other supermarkets. Recommendation All in all I think that Selver is a good place to do your shopping because you do not have to

Choices after secondary school

university, while others think that going to work is a better decision. In my opinion, everyone should think about what he wants to do in future. On the one hand going to the university is very interesting way for student and this means, that you would have lively life, travel and meet people. Moreover, you get a lot of knowledge. However, in the other hand going to university implies that you study there 4-6 years more. In addition you can not be sure that you find after graduating from university a highly paid job. The other option for a high-school graduate is to get a job. There are people who think that big positive side is that you must not study boring theories and formulas. What is more you get salary. Despite these facts there will be very little possibilities for further development. You can not develop in future and find a highly paid job is very difficult. To conclusion, both ways are very popular nowadays. All things consider, I believe

An Essay

profession. Youngsters in United States of America and Great Britain have easier to make choice choosing a profession, because there they start to prepare people to get a job very early. High schools in Estonia teaches every subject almost equally, so everyone have to study everything, except for some schools that are oriented to teach few subjects in depth (IT classes, art classes etc). It´s much easier to make future career plans and to find suitable profesion if school teaches how to manage in real life with practical activities like different projects, presentations and so on. I think USA and Great Britain schools are very developed in teaching pupils how to think and find answers on their own because their school system supports learning through projects, teamwork, presentations. Estonian school system is obsolescent in my opinion. Children have to memorize a lot in Estonia, although Internet and libraries have all the answers

Means of communication

When you turn on the TV or a computer you can see whole world like it would be in the next village. You can learn the culture and habits of other nationalities, you can see what they are doing right now. The world is also called `the global community village'. There are not only good things about media. Firstly there are always some information that are not true. We have to be careful about it but when you listen to media for a long time you can find some companies which are nearly always true. Secondly there is a danger of being influenced in the bad way (lot of pornography on the Internet, lot of action films in TV. Thirdly if you are a famous person the media very often take very big piece of your privacy. Newspapers Newspapers are the oldest kind of communication but we can say that they are today quite old-fashioned. They are not flexible because when something happens you can't read about it until the next day

Kafka's Hunger Artist

As Kafka so grotesquely illustrates, the frail and bony man believes he will finally receive the nourishment he wants when he has fasted until death, at which point he has lost all nourishment and dies. The conflict between the audience and the artist adds to the artist's dissatisfaction with his nourishment. The audience viewing the artist feeds upon the belief the artist is cheating. They continually view the artist only wishing to find him cheating. They express conceit at being confident he is cheating yet no one is ever able to find any form of proof. The butchers desire to know the artist is cheating and ignore him to comfort their suspicions. These internal assurances of the public which pleasure them so also bother them because of the failure to confirm these suspicions. Yet, if the suspicions were to be confirmed, the audience would not be satisfied, and, in fact, feel cheated and frustrated. Humans'

Lessons for the future

Times change and education, as one of the most important areas of our society, needs constant reforming. Nowadays, the main focus seems to be on subjects like maths, physics, chemistry etc. because of current IT-era demands more knowledge in those regions than in humanities. I agree that Estonia's government's steps towards making maths and physics our school- system's top priority is quite right, but I think that there can be a lot more done to improve our educational structure. I find that Estonian schools should pay more attention to teaching our children current state in our political landscape. Kids, who go to school, are our future and soon-to-be full- right voters in national elections. They will become old and independent enough to be a part of deciding process over their country's future. So, it is very important that they would know which political party stands for what beliefs and who are the politicians in Estonia who are leading our country

booked tickets. I received a conformation on my email after booking the tickets and everything seemed to be okay until May. My son noticed they no longer had their seats available for them anymore. He thereupon sent an e-mail to a LOT' Estonia representative to clarify the facts. In response they said that the booking was not free since March. The online booking system changed and they could not do anything anymore. Also, the head office in Poland did not find any solution for our problem. I was in shock and could not understand how that was possible. Even if there was a change in the system, is it acceptable to cancel our seating and not inform us about it? On July 4th I went along with my son to the airport and tried to find out about the seating at check-in. Unfortunately we did not find much help from the information desk – though they somehow put my son to sit behind his grandfather on their first flight from Anchorage to Warsaw, but

For and against studying abroad

It is always nice to have a place to stay when you accidentally end up in Japan or Australia for a few days. Being an exchange student is also a fabulous chance for travelling. Getting to know a new country so well is definitely not possible during a holiday or a short visit. Besides living in a new culture for a long period of time will teach you more about the culture than reading any book about it. Studying abroad is also a great way to master another language. When you suddenly find yourself immersed in a world where everyone speaks another language, you may find yourself immersed in a world where everyone else speaks another language; you may be scared out of your mind. But this wears off and before you know it you'll be fluent. An exchange student will also get more independent. When you study abroad, there is no going home to your parents, when you feel lonely or need to get your dirty laundry washed. You are on your own

Teaching the Vocabulary of the Text

right, not just as a means comprehension, If we are to bring new vocabulary into active use and not just passive understanding, it is not sufficient for us just to teach it. It should be done in a way, so that teachers should be sure that it is learnt and used. If the words are taught after the target text, then the meaning of the words will be more understandable. In this case, the `matching' is the best thing to learn new words. The definition will be given to a learner and he/she has to find the word with the identical meaning in the text. What should be added to the topic, I believe, not hundred percent of new words will be learnt by students. However, this is a great practice for them, to be able to find associations, approximate meaning of the words, if they know the theme and the material based on the text.

Using facebook is easy and it re-news in a time. In facebook you can share pictures of something fun, you can ask your friends what you had for homework, if you have been absent. Is global climate change man-made or not?

Essay. Is global climate change (global warming) man-made or not? Over the last hundred years the Earth has been warming. This warming is believed to lead to many issues such as increasing of nature disasters, weather changes and draught. All of these consequences could become a reason of economic decay in many countries, especially in some undeveloped countries. Therefore it is very important to find out who is guilty of the climate changing. Many people are confident that the reason of global warming is man made carbon dioxide. Over the last hundred years our society has been developing very fast: there has been built a huge amount of different factories, has been made so many inventions in all fields of human activity. Unfortunately only recently we have noticed that by making our life more comfortable and more enjoyable we

It would give everyone an opportunity to ask about your school times, life as a president and your position. I am sure that find out about your professional knowledge, perks and official duties helps us to understand your profession better. However, the lesson would be in English, so students can express them thoughts and ask questions in English. Wonders of the modern world

Essay Wonders of the modern world Wonders are different. I am sure that today's world wonders are not the same that they were years ago. World has gone on and so the same way is with wonders. In my opinion, the most needed wonder is Internet. It has developed quite quickly. Most of young people can not live without it. Youth can communicate each other and they can also find some necessary information. There are also some elderly people who need the Internet. Usually they use it to do work, but older people also use it to communicate with other people like friends or colleague. Some elderly people may use the Internet even more than some youth. I guess that next wonder can be mobile phone. It is also very needed thing. People can call wherever they are. Mobile phone does not have any cables. There are

Surviving exams article

successfully. Firstly, I think it would be a good idea to create a study timetable for revision. A timetable helps you to make clear goals for each revision session and assign a timescale in which to achieve them. As a result, you can reduce anxiety, reassure that you have taken all your necessary steps and increase your motivation to sit down and learn. Secondly, I recommend taking breaks periodically. This would mean that your concentration is better and you find yourself retaining more information than if you try to revise with an over- tired mind that does not remember what it just read. Lastly, it is also important to stay calm and positive. Spend time doing something relaxing each day, such as listening to your favorite music, going for a walk or swim. You also need to make sure you eat and sleep well and get some exercise. In this way, you will feel relaxed and connected to others and the world as you keep working through the revision.

Nuclear Power: A Burden or a Blessing? Today, when the pollution of Earth is an important matter, people are trying to find economic solutions to produce power. This is where the necessity of nuclear power plants comes in question. Nuclear power plants are a cheap way to generate electricity but it also brings a lot of pollution that is much more radioactive and toxic than, for example, coal waste. But if we are looking at the facts, burning coal pollutes the Earth much more than nuclear power plants because more waste is generated. Friends and Friendship

Dear listeners, From young age, people are taught that friendship is very important and you have to look after your mates. But people understand it differently. Some make good friends with everyone, but others find one true friend to be nice with. Is this one friend then better than thousands? My best friends were left in kindergarten. The four of us were invincible. We did everything together and we were enough for each other we didn't let other children to our games. In games as well as in learning, I had 3 great supporters and everything was easy and fun with them. Everyone grows up, so did I and my buddies. Unfortunately we grew

newspapers and similarly was with me a mathematics book, where I solved simple tasks. In Tallinn I do not have free time for my hobbies and it is very sad. Because the sport is very near to my heart. In Rapla I liked to visit a fitness studio. And when the weather was good I liked to run. I hope after the first term at university I will have more time and I can do sport in Tallinn, too. But always I listening the music. It has to surround me because then I do not feel myself alone. If I find free time I visit my parents. They are very important for me and I love to spend the time with them. My mother is like my best friend, who I can trust. I can talk her everything, she listens me and gives good advice. Motivation Letter

Motivation Letter I have always known that I want to engage oneself with science. I am interested in how different things react with each other, their influence on human and realised that I can find all these in food science and nutrition. Nowadays people try to improve their food excesses, however, they do this incorrectly. People restrict themselves in food, but in such a manner they are depriving themselves of the important components necessary for the efficiency of the body. Personally, I faced with such diseases and it was hard enough to deal with this by myself. In order to return a healthy appetite, I read a lot of literature but

Questions and Reported questions

NB! Who did Peter phone? (Subject is Peter) Kellele Peeter helistas? Who phoned Peter? (Subject is who) Kes helistas Peetrile? REPORTED QUESTIONS When we ask for information, we often say Do you know...?/ Could you tell me?. If you begin a question like this, the word order is different from a simple question Compare: Where has Tom gone? But Do you know where Tom has gone? * What time is it? Do you know what time it is? *Who is that woman? I don't know who that woman is. *Where can I find Linda? Can you tell me where I can find Linda? * How much will it cost? Have you any idea how much it will cost? Be careful with do/does/did questions: *What time does the film begin? Do you know what time the film begins? *What do you mean? Please explain what you mean. *Why did Ann leave early? I wonder why Ann left early. Use IF or WHETHER where there is no other question word: * Did anybody see you? Do you know if (or whether) anybody saw you?

The Internet and Social Order

The Internet and Social Order KAROLIN PETERSON The Internet is, as of today, a fairly unrestricted medium where all sorts of information can be published and accessed. Do I think there should be any restrictions and censorship imposed relating to inappropriate or potentially dangerous content that could pose a threat to public safety? In my opinion there shouldn't be any kind of information that could danger people available online e.g you can easily find instructions how to build a bomb (smoke bomb, atomic bomb) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUakUPkbpU checking in online (e.g on facebook) shows where you are at the moment and that makes it easy for the burglars to know when you're away from home. Do I think the government has any right or reason to monitor people's online activity? The government should find out about potential threats online but should still let people keep their privacy (e.g they

Stress in the lives of young people today

Stress in the lives of young people today A lot of young people nowadays stress about various number of things. Whether it’s grades in school, appearance, relationships or future life in general, they all worry young people and impact their everyday life. One of the biggest stress factors are probably school, grades and future. Often students find themselves lacking knowledge to pass a subject or are too lazy to attend classes at all. This leads to a big amount of stress which they only have themselves to blame for. The best way to avoid this kind of stress would be studying hard and attending all classes. Young people also stress about the future a lot, they’re not sure where to study next or what to study. They’re also not sure whether they’re able to live an independent life or find a decent job.

Computerised world – a better or a worse place to live in ?

Although computers are said to be one of the most successful inventions there are many people who do not totally agree with that saying. Computers are able to do everything that make our life easier, but why are there still so many different opinions about ones' usefulness? The positive side of having computers in our life is how much it actually changes our life and makes it easier. There are no problems, I mean literally no problems that computers could not do. Computers are used to find information, read news, study, and some even play computer games. But to be exact, computer is not only that small box that stays under our desks or the lap-tops that are well known today. Computers are everything automatic that surround us, for example nowadays there are no cars made without computerised parts. Even shopping would not be even close to like it is now if we would not have all that amazing technology. Of course, like every other thing, computerised world has its own downsides

Should space exploration be a priority

Luckily thanks to the great interest in the subject, the first manned spaceflight happened on April 12, 1961 by the Soviet Union, with cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin aboard. Travelling in space could become very important and useful for people on earth in case something happens to our planet. Many things could happen since humans are taking advantage of earth's natural resources like oil and building dangerous factories that produce toxic waste. With space travel we could find planets that have the material to replace our resources and maybe get rid of the toxic waste we no longer have room here. Besides that, a war could break out involving majority of the countries which would lead to total destruction and it might be harder to rebuild the society here than to move to another planet that is not damaged. On the other hand, the money and time we would spend on space exploration by making it our priority might be better off spent here on earth. We

Fast food saves our time and money? Essee

Fast food saves our time and money? There are several arguments for and against fast food. Some people find fast food the easiest way to have a full stomach, but others find that it contains too many harmful substances. I would like to discuss both the pros and the cons. On the one hand, there are definitely some good sides to fast food. First of all, buying a TV dinner saves time. After a hard day at work, you will be probably very hungry and there is nothing better than getting a ready meal. You don’t have to buy the ingredients on the dish and waste time for cooking
