In this survey students were asked witch genre of books they like to read. This report is based on a diagram showing the percentage witch genres students like to read. This report will describe the reading habits of The Aru Secondary School. The most popular genre for girls was romantic novels and for boys thrillers. This is shown by fact that girls like more romantic and boys like more suspense. In the survey can read that only 17% girls like to read poetry and only 9% of boys like to read poetry. In conclusion I will say that these results are quite logical outcome. It is been always that girls like more romantic novels and boys thrillers. For summing- up I will say that it is nice that students like to read.
Report A survey into the reading habits of students of form 10b Introduction This report was carried out to analyse the reading habits of form 10b. In the survey 6 boys and 9 girls were questioned. This survey shows what kind of reading habits have boys and girls, wther they are different or similar. Types of books The survey showed us that both, boys and girls, mainly read cassical novels. To be exact, 80% of questioned students read classic novels, also popular among both sexes are horror and humor books. 20% of boys and girls like sience fiction. Nearly 50% of the boys read informative literature, but non of the girls. Only one girl out of 9 like to read romatic novels. The most unpopular books are poetry and biography books. Number of books read As i expected, girls read more books in a month than boys. It is shown by the fact that a significant number of girls read 2-3 books a month. As I grew up, I chose reading over sports and all of the wild games I used to like. Undoubtedly, I would now describe myself with the word naivety. I am very naïve and do not notice the most obvious things happening around me. I really hope that it is caused by the lack of experience and will eventually pass. In addition, I find myself a kind and caring person because I always want and agree to help people when needed. Furthermore, I really like reading. Sometimes I think that I read too much because I often mix fiction up with reality and in some cases it does not do me any good. As novels have such a great influence on me, I often misunderstand people in reality. Also, I quite often jump into conclusions. For example there was this awfully embarrassing situation that happened to me when I thought that General Tilney killed his wife. I was very ashamed of myself. This is demonstrated by the fact that a significant number of boys prefered it. Only 30% of girls prefered fast food. This implies that girls are smarter and think more about their health. Vegetables Vegetables is the most popular type of food among the girls. Over 50% of girls prefered vegetables. This shows again that girls are more healthier. Bright and intelligent, emotionally wise and very dedicated. We became good friends. I think I might have been her only friend. Her boy and husband had both died in a bike accident and she was still suffering from that trauma. We were both alone and we clung to each other. She worked part-time in the school library and when I skipped classes (which I did quite often) I could hide out there and have coffee and talks about English and books and life in general with her. She was really scandalous because she published her diaries. In her diaries she wrote about really personal things that most people would never let anyone else read if it were their life. She is also important because she wrote a lot about Hiiumaa. In a matter of fact she also lived on our island, Hiiumaa. One of her stories that talks about Hiiumaa is Hundimõrsija (The Wolf's bride). It's a werewolf story about 17th century Hiiumaa. The story is rich with archaic, romantic, colourful prose. She was also given an Estonian Red Cross Merit Medal. She was always considered as a smart woman. She also wrote Lydia Koidula's biography. Thanks to her we know a lot about Hiiumaa's history and nature. Next writer is called Marie Under who lived in 1883-1980. At the beginning she wrote poetry in German because she went to a German school, but when she became older she started writing in Estonian
Merde Actually By Stephen Clarke "Merde Actually" is written by Stephen Clarke, who is a British journalist and a novelist living in Paris. When he first arrived in Paris, he experienced a cultural shock and got inspired by it. He started to keep a diary of his experiences and decided to publish it as a novel when the Anglo-French relationships were at their worst during the Iraq War spring 2003. Therefore his novels (he has written three in this series) have become enormously popular all around the world, especially because they are partly true. Stephen Clarke himself still lives in Paris with his French girlfriend. This novel is considered to be seriously funny and a comedy with a message. "Merde Actually" has one main character whose name is Paul West, but there are also many other significant characters, that come from the previous book "A Year in the Merde"
