all tyrannia and improve social conditions, he has all the typical features of Hemingway heroe, tough, competent, brave. Seems to be against all forms of governments, comes to conclusion that the republicans way is the best. He finds communism helpful. The question is wheter bloodshed is justified and humane. Unlike earlier hemingway heroes Jordan is an intellectual. Jordan is against suicide, which is major theme in the novel, because Jordan's father commited suicide. Falls in love with Maria, daughter of republican mayor. Three days of love bring him back to life. Maria was raped by facists and her father was killed by facists, disturbed girl. Secondary characters are rememorable. Men and women act differently to war. Men are carried away by war propaganda, women are shown to be wised and appreciate life more than political parties. Men think on taking sides but women value life more. Jordan is an idealist. He is willing to give his life for this cause

for not confessing who the father of Pearl was. She had to watch her close freind Dimesdale be hunted down by Chillingworth. Then slowly tortured until his life was worse than death. Overall Hester not confessing her crimes may or may not have worked out, we can't tell from the information in the book. Roger Chillingworth, as he is now called, is also a sinner. He commits the most sins of anyone in the whole book. He starts by marrying Hester without love. He says "We have wronged each other. Mine was the first wrong, when I betrayed thy budding youth into an unnatural relation with my decay." He feels like he didnt deserve such a young, beautiful wife and doesn't blame her for cheating on him. He does blame whoever she did it with. Which is why he commits his next sin. He sins when he comes back into Boston saying is name is Roger Chillingworth. His real last name is Prynne, like Hester

Libraries

Our school library is opened for 8 hours, from 8.00-16.00. It has 3 rooms-the exhibition room, the media room and the reading room. There are 6 computers in the media room for everyone to use and you can find learning materials there or spend your break just surfing on the Internet. Pupils' works are shown in the exhibition room and you can spend time in the reading room reading one of the 80 different periodicals that we have in our library. I love to go to the library in breaks, rest on the couches and read "Sporditäht". Famous libraries. The Library of Alexandria was one of the best-known libraries of the ancient world. It was built in 300 B.C. It had the most complete collection of books at that time. In about 650 A.D Alexandria surrendered in a war and all the books except the ones of Aristotle were used as fuel to heat the public baths.

Education

listen, hear; to spark their curiosity. When I was a child the things that pleased me were largely other than the plants which have earned me a living as an adult. For example, I collected postage stamps, played basketball, was fond of listening to music, played all manner of games, but dealt only in a neutral, uninspired fashion with plants. The one thing that was constant and of supreme importance was my love of reading. I don't recall why, but by an early age, say age 9, I was a phenomenal reader of books, a habit that persisted all the way until college. Reading expands one's mind immensely. It fires the imagination, demonstrates grammar, teaches vocabulary, informs, challenges, helps one relax. In some cases it forces the mind to concentrate, as to understand. It can help build a moral or ethical framework, and help oneself form an individual worldview
