or irrigation. It's best to avoid watering in the very early morning or late evening so the plants are not wet for long periods. Weed control: The most important time to keep the strawberry planting weed-free is the first few months after planting while the plants are sending out runners and new plants are getting established. Mulching: Mulching is particularly important on clay soils or those that remain wet for much of the year.( plastic mulch) Renovation and fertilization: Renovate strawberries immediately after harvesting to help reduce disease, stimulate vigorous new growth, and prolong the life of planting. Diseases and Pests 1)Botrytis fruit rot (gray mold) 2)Verticillium wilt 4)Leather rot: 6)Tarnished plant bugs 7)Spittlebugs: Harvest For maximum sweetness and flavor, it's good to pick June-bearing and day-neutral berries a day or two after they are fully red. Internet Connection Free and couldn't be easier to hop on: no password or sign-up required. Location The hotel is very accessible via public transportation, and, probably thanks to its college community, you'll find plenty of restaurants and bars in the immediate area. If eating out's not your thing, there is both a Trader Joe's and Whole Foods within two blocks, too. What We Didn't Like The cracked and stained tiles in the shower suggest that the bathrooms got passed over during the recent renovation, and we'd have preferred to not have seen short black hairs (not ours) in the sink.
My local supermarket I will be telling you about my local supermarket. It is about 1 kilometre from my house. Its name is Jannsen and it was named after the Estonian journalist Johann Voldemar Jannsen. I actually have quite many supermarkets around me but I chose this one because I feel like it has more of a story than the others. When you get to the building and have a look at it, you would definitely think that it needs renovation and it is definitely quite old and is from the Soviet times. It is actually really colourful, compared to most supermarkets, therefore it attracts all kinds of children from the area. It has a huge variety of materials in the shop, starting from fruit and vegetables and ending with toys, clothes and even cooking meals. Sadly, the fact that it is old, makes it quite enjoyable for the alcoholics to be around the area. It has three checkout counters where you can buy your groceries. The
In the first half of the 16th century, the Blackheads bought it and built a new hall with an archless ceiling. The next serious rebuilding took place in 1597, when the facade was redesigned in the Dutch Renaissance architectural spirit, with a profusion of ornaments and carved decorations. One of Tallinn's most eyecatching doors, on the front of this building, dates to 1640. The twonaved and vaulted guild hall, bought from the Olav Guild, dates to the 15th century. The next renovation took place in 1908, but this time it only affected the interiors, which were given a neo classical appearance.

It introduced hotel-wide electricity, elevators, and private bathrooms to the city's hotel scene. Now owned by the luxury Fairmont brand, and only reopened in late 2010 after a long renovation, the Savoy has long been the London home of an amazing list of celebrities including Charlie Chaplin, Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, and John Wayne. castle the centre of secular power; Toompea palace hosts the parliament of the Republic of Estonia, designed by Eugen Habermann and Herbert Johanson. The parliament has 101 members and is chosen for 4 years. Stenbock House - the official seat of the Estonian Government since 2000; the building started in 1787, originally meant to be a courthouse. After russians ran out of fund, house went into Jakob Pontus Stenbock’s possession. Renovation was carried out in 1996-2000. Tall Hermann - tower in the south-west corner of the castle; 49 m built in 1371; ten floors and a viewing platform. Estonian flag is raised there every morning at sunrise but not before 7am and lowered at sunset but not later than 10pm; except at midsummer June 23, when it’s not lowered at all. architecture in Estonia. The main building was built in 1804-1809 according to university architect Johann Wilhelm Krause's plans. The opening ceremony of the university's main building took place on 3 July 1809. Since that day, all major university events are celebrated in the main hall. Because of superb acoustics many concerts are held here, and its spaciousness allows for conferences to be held. The hall was re-opened on 3 May 2002 following its last renovation. Gunpowder Cellar The Gunpowder Cellar was dug into the side of the hill in 1767 as part of the complex of the bishop's citadel. It was used as a gunpowder cellar until 1809. Until 1982 it served as a storage room for many different enterprises, and was later developed into a eating place. Today the building hosts a beer restaurant carrying the same name. Ruins of Toome Cathedral The name of Tartu's "Toome Hill" is derived from the "Toomkirik" or Toom Cathedral of the area's bishopric
Its seclusion was due to the fact that the whole territory was under the control of the Baltic Shipping Administration and other Soviet military contingents. In addition, the roadstead fleet was based at the harbour. For decades the area remained closed off for regular citizens. The hectic times of the 90's led to confusion in ownership and after a long series of court trials the hangars are finally in the phase of reconstruction. The future plans include a sea taxi and a renovation by the Maritime Museum. http://www.eelk.ee/~eelk109/english.htm The Organ The Tallinn Dome Church organ, that was built in 1878 by an organ builder of Weissenfeld Friedrich Landegast , rebuilt in 1913/14 by a famous German organbuilding enterprise Orgelwerkstatt Wilhelm Sauer and renovated by Christian Scheffler (Frankfurt/Oder), has an outstanding position in world organ-history. The organ is a marvelous mixture of both Classicism and late Romanticism. During the intensive renovation in 1998´s seven months the complete cleaning and restoration of the pipes, the creation of the missing registers and pipes, the renewing of the leather parts, the cleaning and renovation of the keyboard, the control of the bellows and the intoning of the organ and the tuning on the original pitch 435 Hz at the temperature 15 ´C was done. As in 1914 the I World War cancelled the full accomplishment of the organ and the following decades
Manus O'Cahan and Montrose fought a successful minor battle against the Covenant Army at Fyvie Castle on August 24th 1644. Following Victorian trends, the grounds and adjoining Loch Fyvie were landscaped in the 19th century. The American industrialist Alexander Leith bought the castle in 1885. It was sold to the National Trust for Scotland in 1984 by his descendants. The castle (like many Scottish castles) is said to be haunted. A story is told that in 1920 during renovation work the skeleton of a woman was discovered behind a bedroom wall. On the day the remains were laid to rest in Fyvie cemetery, the castle residents started to be plagued by strange noises and unexplained happenings. Fearing he had offended the dead woman, the Laird of the castle had the skeleton exhumed and replaced behind the bedroom wall, at which the haunting ceased.Today, the castle is open to tourists during the summer months.

) Estonian was heard from a theatre stage for the first time. Early in the 19th century city architect Carl Ludwig Engel (helped rebuild Helsinki and also built the palace at 8 Kohtu Street on Toompea) designed a sumptuous hall for the theatre, but it was destroyed in a fire. Another fire devastated the theatre in 1902, after which it moved out from Old Town. The premises came into the possession of the Puppet Theatre in 1955. In 1991, the whole building was given to the theatre. Renovation works took place in 2001-03. 5 17 Lai Street Lai 17, so-called Menshikov House was completed about 1685 in the Dutch Baroque style. Many building were neglected and therefore, many wooden apartment buildings are in a very bad condition today. Also, the modern demands for living environments and the perception of a comfortable home is often completely different from the ideas that dominated decades or centuries ago, when the surviving wooden dwellings were built. Therefore, it is an important job for engineers and architects to assess the technical conditions of the wooden apartment buildings, to find appropriate renovation solutions and to adapt the buildings to modern day requirements, and it is also a challenge for property developers and housing associations. 16.1 The technical condition and defects of building envelope and load-bearing structures Despite advanced years, the load-bearing structures of the wooden apartment buildings examined were in a satisfactory condition. Nevertheless rot damage exists in many cases.
innovation to the value generating process. Designers and contractors must understand that the primary object of the design process is to minimize building life cycle costs direct and indirect related to energy use, maintenance, waste disposal, and occupant health and productivity, to minimize environmental impacts throughout the building life cycle, including product manufacturing, construction, use/occupancy, and renovation/reuse or demolition, and to optimize indoor environmental quality. This can only happen through intensive design in the early phase of project delivery, where alternatives should be explored and analysed to choose a best solution. Emphasizing intensive design by using BIM supported applications has been seen to be very adequate. The use of virtual models makes information exchange and communication transparent and clear. It helps the
In the fifties it was a fresh phenomenon in Estonian music. The third dance is vigorous, the somewhat gloomy first theme pulsates: Example 79. The second, subsidiary theme sounds like a vivid and plastic Estonian waltz. In the development section a new theme is introduced. It sounds like restless questioning; yet it makes a central axis for further treatment. The recapitulation is oppressive. An essential feature of the young Tamberg is the incessant renovation of metrics and rhythm; all this variety and waltzing creates his individual style. Thorough modulation of rhythm and inflection are recognisable in all modifications, indicating a true symphonic treatment. In the third dance, though there are some dance-like episodes, one can hardly perceive the dancing essence; the music is symphonic. As new features are introduced by Tamberg, the intensity and suggestiveness of his language, a 1 First performed by ERSO, 4 Apr
