Safety on the road

Safety on the road: it is not difficult to ensure in school areas March 29, 2009 by Ülo Kaart Road safety aims to reduce the harm (deaths, injuries, and property damage) resulting from crashes of road vehicles. Harm from road traffic crashes is greater than that from all other transportation modes (air, sea, space, off-terrain, etc.) combined. Million people are killed on the world's roads each year. Unfortunately it includes school children as well. Is it really that hard to ensure safety in school areas? Why youngsters have to suffer because of lausy drivers? School children have been in great danger since there have been cars but it has grown throught time because of the big number of drivers. The more there are people, the more there are drivers, the more are cars and the biggers is the possibility of accidents. Road traffic crashes are one of the world's largest public health and injury prevention problems. The problem is ...

Sandra Bullock

Sandra Bullock I´m going to talk about Sandra Bullock. The reason I´ve chosen her is that she is my favourite actress and people had said that I look same as her and I hope you will lear a few things about her. As for her background she was born in July 26, 1964, in Arlington, a Virginia suburb of Washington, D.C. Did you know that her mother, Helga Bullock was a German opera singer and her father, John W. Bullock was an American voice teacher, who was born in Alabama. You might not know that Sandra grew up on the road with her parents and younger sister and spent much of her childhood in Nuremberg, Germany. She often performed in the children´s choirs since she was 5. That singing talent later came in handy for her role as an aspiring country singer in North Carolina, where she studied acting. Summary - IT in motorsport

Summary I made my presentation about infotechnology usage in motorsport. I chose this topic because I am an infotechnology student and also I have been rally driver since 2009. I believed this could be interesting topic for others to hear because you can’t really find much information about the technologies used in different motorsport disciplines from the Internet but you can learn about them usually when somebody tells you about those technologies. Because I’m a rally driver and I know most about rallying I focused on rally and in addition talked little bit about Formula One and also about simulators. Most of the information I used to make this presentation was based on my personal experience. In addition, I found some interesting technologies which are used in Formula One from the Internet. Most interesting hi-tech solutions used in rally are in my opinion ride height control with GPS and launch...

The Magic of Living

Arabella had lived with her aunt and uncle since she had been orphaned at the age of five, and over the years had become accustomed to living in Hilary's shade. Hilary was the daughter of the house and as such expected and got-everything she wanted. Arabella could quite see that she could hardly expect to receive the same attention for herself. She was 22 and a trained children's nurse. It was only natural that her aunt should consider her capable of keeping an eye on the twins. In one day Arabella wanted to go to the doctor's house for tea and game of tennis, but her aunt's hints at lunch had been strong enough for her to scotch this idea. She had resigned herself to entertaining the twins. She spent time with the twins and suddenly she heard Hilary speaking with her. When Hilary called her Bella it meant that she wanted her to do something for her. And so it was. Hilary wanted Arabella to go to the trip with spastic children. Arabell...

The Forth Bridge

Forth Bridge The Forth Bridge is a cantilever railway bridge over the Firth of Forth in the east of Scotland, to the east of the Forth Road Bridge, and 14 kilometres (9 mi) west of central Edinburgh. It is often called the Forth Rail Bridge or Forth Railway Bridge to distinguish it from the Forth Road Bridge. It was opened on 4 March 1890. The bridge connects Scotland's capital city, Edinburgh, with Fife, leaving the Lothians at Dalmeny and arriving in Fife at North Queensferry; it acts as a major artery connecting the north-east and south-east of the country. Described in the Collins Encyclopaedia of Scotland as "the one immediately and internationally recognised Scottish landmark", it may be nominated by the British government to be added to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Scotland. The bridge and its associated railway infrastructure is owned by Network Rail Infrastructure Limited. Until 1917,...

Top Gear

Top Gear It all started when BBC presented us with an idea. Every one of us had to build a British motorhome of the future, which would be practical but still look cool. Three things the motorhome had to have were sleeping accommodation, cooking facilities and a bog. We met up at Fleet to take a look at each others brilliant come ups before the challanges. As usual I came in with quite an entrance. My motorhome was by far the tallest ever built. It had three stories and looked extremely cool. After walking Hammond through my surperb motorhome I couldn't help but laughing at his. It was a hidious Land Rover which appeared from far to be covered with bricks. The ,,stone effect" was in Richards mind the Land Rover style. It literally had a bog next to the driver's seat. After having a great laugh once more over Hammonds brilliant motorhome, James May came in what appeared to be a roc...

Project Plan

Project Plan Bellacoola The Bella Coola Development Study merges community requirements for the envisioned facility and the alternative approaches to building on the Bella Coola Northern Pointe site. Consultants’ reports regarding structural considerations and tree evaluation are included for their continued application to the problem. An effort has been made to work with the full extent of space requirements currently voiced by the Western Division Management Center and the Bella Coola Village Organization. Other organizations were queried to form the basis of judgment in determining the overall need. This recognizes that as the program development progresses, tenant requirements may change, but the essential square footage and cubic limitations for a below grade structure will remain. In addition, it has been envisioned that jointly required facilities would be available for all organizations to use on a shared basis, utilizing mova...

My ideal home

My ideal home My homeland is so important to me, that if I could choose any place in the world to live in, I'd still choose Estonia. My perfect home can only be in here, where my family and friends are. In Estonia, where are swmaps and pine-wood, sandy beaches, blue sky and big fileds, where are people who i know and the place where i feel in home My perfect home is located outside of Tallinn, in the midst of nature. It is a two story house with a red roof and the house is surrounded by big white fence. Stepping into the garden, you can notice a cobblestoned road, which takes you to the door. Beside the road are planted little red flowers and the garden is covered with green grass. From afar you can see a sauna house, and it has also a red roof. There you can enjoy the sauna and after that you can sit in the soft sofa, relax and chat with friends in anteroom. Beside the saunahouse there is a gr...
