The Great Wave off Kanagawa The Great Wave off Kanagawa , also known as The Great Wave or simply The Wave, is a woodblock print by theJapanese artist Hokusai. An example of ukiyo-e art, it was published sometime between 1830 and 1833[1] (during the Edo Period) as the first in Hokusai's series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji(Fugaku sanjrokkei (?)), and is his most famous work. This particular woodblock is one of the most recognized works of Japanese art in the world. It depicts an enormous wavethreatening boats near the Japanese prefecture of Kanagawa. While sometimes assumed to be a tsunami, the wave is, as the picture's title notes, more likely to be a large okinami literally "wave of the open sea." As in all the prints in the series, it depicts the area around Mount Fuji under particular conditions, and the mountain itself appears in the background. Simple and small ways affect the enviroment for the better Everyone can do something for the enviroment. All of us should do something, because enviroment is very important to people. Our planet is changing and we need to help it change for the better. One way how to help the enviroment is saving energy. You should switch off anything, that uses electricity. If you’re not using it, then turn it off, it’s simple. This goes for lights, televisions and so on. Also try unplugging if possible, because even when an appliance is turned off, it still may use power. You could switch your light bulbs to LED light bulbs, because these are using less energy and even last longer. If you use renewable energy sources, you won’t cause burning fossil fuels, that causes pollution. Another way how to help the enviroment would be saving water. I have carried out a survey among the students at Kose Gymnasium. My findings are presented below. Findings The first thing students thought was that our school is using and wasting paper. Theatchers do not use both sides of paper while printing. Secondly the students have noticed that the computers are not always turned off at end of the day. They take a lot of power and waste energy if they are turned on overnight. The tird thing I found out is that our school does not recycle and reuse enouhg which is also bad influence for the environment. Reccomendations Firstly, I would like to suggest to reduce paper. For example send more emails or if the printing is really nessesary use both sided of the paper. Secondly I reccomend tuning computers off at the end of the day to ignore wasting energy

Plot Overview An imaginative and mischievous boy named Tom Sawyer lives with his Aunt Polly and his half-brother, Sid, in the Mississippi River town of St. Petersburg, Missouri. Indian summer festival Indian Summer Festival is the brainchild of Butch Roberts, a Milwaukee Police Officer. In 1985, his dream was to have an American Indian Festival to add to the other ethnic festivals that were being held on the Summerfest grounds, Henry Maier Festival Park. Roberts recruited the Warren and DeNomie families to organize the event. These three families were instrumental in getting Indian Summer off the ground. It took two years of planning and organizational assistance from Irish Fest to kick off Indian Summer's first festival in 1987. The festival received a $5,000.00 grant from The Milwaukee Foundation and a cash loan from the Klumb family to provide funding for the first event. The first festival was a huge success.
