Pärast reeglite kehtestamist 1865. aastal sai kõrgushüppest Ateenas 1896. aastal ka olümpiaala. Esimene naiste kõrgushüppevõistlus peeti 1895. aastal USA-s ja naiste esimene kõrgushüppevõistlus olümpiamängudel toimus Amsterdamis 1928. aastal. Tallinn 2018 Mina käisin hiljuti kuulamas Beethoveni ja Rubinsteini palade kontseri. Kontsert toimus ilusas Estonia kontserdisaalis, 11.mail. Esinejateks olid Eesti Riiklik Sümfooniaorkester, pianist Anna Selest ja dirigent Neeme Järvi. Esitati 19.sajandi ühe kuulsaima pianisti Anton Rubinsteini klaverikontsert nr 5 Es-duur, op.94 ning Ludwig van Beethoveni sümfoonia nr 7 A-duur, op.82 mida helilooja ise nimetas "oma viletsa talendi üheks kõige õnnelikumaks tulemuseks". Kontsert sai võimsa alguse Rubinsteini viienda klaverikontsertiga Es-duuris, mis on tema monumentaalseim klaverikontsert. Avaosa Allegro moderato oli laialt voolavate meloodiatega, vaheluva tempoga.
