Report on the students` exercise preference

To: Mr Jones, sports centre manager From: Mari Mets Subject: Report on the students' exercise preferences Date: 3rd April 2017 Introduction The aim of this report is to describe the changes in the students' exercise preferences, speculate on the reasons for the shifts and make recommendations for the sports centre on which facilities and training opportunities to include in the future. Female students Yoga and Pilates have remained the most popular exercise routines among the young women, who are acquiring education. From 2010 to 2015, the percentage of female students, who chose one of these two training programs, stayed at 45%. The reason for the lack of shift might be that the interests of the young women, who are acquiring education and practicing yoga or Pilates, have not changed. Male students Weightlifting has remained the most popular exercise routine among the young men, who are acquiring education

temperature of the liquid. Did You Know...? The solubility of a gas in blood and the temperature of blood are relatively constant. Differences in the partial pressures of gases in the aveoli and in the blood create a pressure gradient across the respiratory membrane. This difference in pressures leads to diffusion of gases across the respiratory membrane. The greater the pressure gradient, the more rapidly oxygen diffuses across it. Task · How does exercise increase the pressure gradient at the respiratory membrane? Response & Adaptation · Response (acute) immediate response of systems as a result of exercise response can change with intensity, system changes return to resting values once exercise bout has ceased, or shortly after. · Adaptation (chronic) more permanent changes as a result of training adaptations will resist change but will revert to previous state if training ceases

Letter for aunt Annette

Dear Annette Thank you for your letter. I'm glad that you liked my Christmas card and the letter that I sent. It is nice to hear from you again. How are you going ? I hope that you find the smaller house. If you find a new house, please send me a pictures of house and new letter and your new address. In school everything is in the best order. I'm getting on very well with my teachers and classmates. I have even started to understand chemistry because at the moment we are learning a very easy chapter. Also thank you for noticing my English improvement. I've been learning a lot because I'm planning to take an English exam. I even hired an English tutor for a while, but it was too expensive and because of that I'm learning by myself. I have no plans for the summer. Basically I'm planning to enjoy the summer and visit the beach, go swimming and hang out with friends. Thank you for the invitation. I would love to come to London. We would ha...

Heart and Lung Health

Heart and Lung Health: This is one of the most important reasons to exercise. An inactive lifestyle is one of the major causes of heart diseases. While a lot of heart conditions occur when we are older, it is necessary to start exercising at a young age to keep our hearts strong as we age. Cardiovascular exercises like running, swimming, cycling, and aerobics are especially good for the heart, hence the name `cardiovascular'. Being able to play particular strums and rhythms is an important and often under practised part of playing the guitar. Many musicians get caught up in learning crazy chords or playing speedy scales. This can often lead to the neglect of rhythm which is the basis for all music. Remember in the last lesson we talked about warming up and using the correct fingering. Before you start this lesson, just try another one of these warm up fingering drills. This following warm up exercise involves the 6th, 5th and 4th strings (three thickest strings). Once again I would like you to use correct fingering when you are playing this. Remember your index finger is number 1, you middle finger is number 2, your ring finger is number 3 and your pinky is number 4. Play in down strokes and take your time. Try and make each note ring clear. Remember it is better to play slowly and accurately than to sound muddy and unclear. Video and Audio Available:

This lesson continues on from lessons one and two. In lesson one you learnt how to start playing and how to play the chords A and D. In the second lesson you were shown how to read tab. This lesson will be similar to the second part of lesson two, however I plan to introduce you to the chord G. Once you have mastered G, we will try and practice changing between the three chords we have learnt; D, A, and G. Let's take a look at the G major chord: Exercise: With this exercise, I want to get you strumming up and down. I would like to introduce to you a new technique to help with your playing. When you are practicing the lesson above I would like you to count out loud. This sounds easier than it is, but it is something you need to learn and it is an achievable skill. It works like this; on your down strum I want you to count "1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4" and on the up strum I would like you to say "and". So you should be saying "1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and 1 and 2 and 3 and 4"

In the full version of Jamorama, both standard musical notation and tablature are used. But for this six day course we will only use TAB. The reason for this is that tablature is very easy to read and you should have no problems learning TAB in a few short minutes of reading. TAB has some weak points, the worst of which is that rhythm can't be easily indicated. This shouldn't pose a problem though, as I will indicate the rhythm for each exercise using the strum indicators that were introduced in lesson one. OK. To start I want you to look at your guitar and you will clearly see that it has six strings going from thickest to thinniest. On a TAB diagram, the thinnest string, (or 1st string as its most commonly called) is at the top - The thickest (or 6th string) is at the bottom. This is clearly demonstrated in the 1st example below. The following diagram shows you how tablature relates to the guitar fret board:

FOOD FOR SPORT

What is the best thing to eat before exercising for energy and endurance? You need quality carbs, lean protein, heart-healthy fats, and fluids. Your muscles rely on carbohydrate foods like breads, cereals, pasta, rice, fruits, and vegetables for quick energy. You need protein for your muscles and for your blood cells, which bring nutrients and oxygen to your muscles. You also need fluids, or your body will have a hard time performing at its best. Is there an ideal meal to eat before exercise? There's no one meal that you need to eat before working out. Instead, focus on these 5 things: Low fat Moderate in carbs and protein Low fiber Includes fluids Made up of familiar foods that you tolerate well A grilled chicken sandwich or a slice of cheese pizza might fit the pregame meal description, but stay clear of the fried food (including french fries), greasy burgers, and soft drinks. Why is it so important to drink plenty of liquids during exercise?

Gym Hazards Working out is seen as one of the healthiest ways to exercise but still sometimes it could be more than your body can cope with. A young woman in her first aerobic class collapsed and passed out. All attempts to resuscitate her were futile. Born with a heart defect, she was risking her life when she pulled on her fitness gear. A whole range of things should be taken into account before starting a training but unfortunately, many fitness instructors still fail to take a detailed personal history of their clients.

If you are currently experiencing pain, you must consult with your physician before doing any of these stretches, and if you experience any discomfort while doing these stretches, discontinue them immediately. Stretching essentials Warm up first. Stretching muscles when they're cold increases your risk of injury, including pulled muscles. Warm up by walking while gently pumping your arms, or do a favorite exercise at low intensity for five minutes. Better yet, stretch after you exercise -- when your muscles are warm and more receptive to stretching. Hold each stretch for at least 30 seconds. It takes time to lengthen tissues safely. Hold your stretches for at least 30 seconds -- and up to 60 seconds for a really tight muscle or problem area. That can seem like a long time, so keep an eye on the clock or your watch. Then repeat the stretch on the other side

Stretches and exercises in office

stress. Stretching may help prevent injury. Preparing your muscles and joints for activity can protect you from injury, especially if your muscles or joints are tight.

What are pros and cons of keeping fit?

whole grains, things like brown rice, oatmeal millet. So when you find the activity you like, try to do it at least 3 to 4 times a week. As a result it will really help improve your level of fitness. In addition it can actually cause you to lose weight. As you see there are several different ways of keeping fit. There are no cons of keeping fit, but the main disadvantage is where people get obsessed with exercising and over exercise. This is bad because overexercising will make you really skinny and unhealthy. All things considered the key is to exercise, but not overdo it. Also, you want to drink a lot of water before exercising because you will get dehydrated. You can eat anything, but let out fast food and white bread and replace it with whole wheat bread. Also all kind of fruits and vegetables are good for health. Do not forget eat fish, eggs and poultry. Stop eating when you are full.

The art of dance

produces joy for the dancers themselves. [4] Before the invention of written languages, dance was a more important method of passing stories down from generation to generation. Nowadays people have many ways to pass stories, but still they use dance to communicate with others. To express their feelings. Participatory dance, whether it be a folk dance, a social dance, a group dance or a partner dance is undertaken primarily for a common purpose, such as social interaction or exercise, of participants rather than onlookers. Such dance seldom has any narrative. Participatory dancers often all employ the same movements and steps but, for example, in the rave culture of electronic dance music, vast crowds may engage in free dance, uncoordinated with those around them. On the other hand, some cultures lay down strict rules as to the particular dances in which, for example, men, women and children may or must participate. [3]

HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

how hard it is to do all of those things in our current world. The good news is, you don't have to change everything at the same time. In fact, the trick to healthy living is making small changes. Take more steps each day, adding fruit to your cereal, having an extra glass of water or saying no to that second helping of buttery mashed potatoes. So, what else can you be doing to live healthy? Your first order of business is to start exercising. Fitting regular exercise into your daily schedule may seem difficult at first. But even ten minutes at a time is fine. The key is to find the right exercise for you. It should be fun and should match your abilities. Studies show that the nation's trans fat levels have decreased over the past decade, mostly in part due to a controversial ban in New York City and dozens of other counties and towns across the country. If you are struggling to lower your
