Dear Ingrid,
Thank for you letter , you told me that you want to be an exchange student . I would recommend our school to you because we have are lot of friendly students and teachers who are very helpful. Our school year starts on the 1. of September and ends in on the 3. of July . Compared with other European schools our summer holiday is the longest . The winter holiday is 2 weeks long and the spring and autumn holidays are 1 week long. Our average school day is quite long, it starts at 8 o´ clock and ends usually at 3 or 4 o´ clock. We have a break after every 45 minutes for 10 minutes and we have two breaks that are 20 minutes long. During the break we study for the next lesson or just chat with other classmates. I feel very safe in our school, I think everybody is responsible because all of us can contribute in discipline and make our school a better and safer place to learn at. My favorite subject is math because our teacher teaches us very good and I almost understand almost. Usually I do my homework for 2 or 3 hours and I think it’s quite a long time for me to prepare for lessons. And if I have problems with my studies I tell about it to my friends , they always help me when I have problems.
I look forward to hearing from you
With love your Uku.

ENGLISH TOPICS - palju teemasid inglise keele riigieksami kordamiseks

British Cuisine Some people criticize English food. They say it's unimaginable, boring, tasteless, it's chips with everything and totally overcooked vegetables. The basic ingredients, when fresh, are so full of flavour that British haven't had to invent sauces to disguise their natural taste. What can compare with fresh pees or new potatoes just boiled and served with butter? Why drown spring lamb in wine or cream and spices, when with just one or two herbs it is absolutely delicious? If you ask foreigners to name some typically English dishes, they will probably say "Fish and chips" then stop. It is disappointing, but true that, there is no tradition in England of eating in restaurants, because the food doesn't lend itself to such preparation. English cooking is found at home. So it is difficult to a good English restaurant with a reasonable prices. In most cities in Britain you'll find Indian, Chinese, French and Italian restaurants. In London you'll also find Indonesian,

outside from the island can stay while studying in school. The campuses are always full. The campuses have also the hotel/hostel side, where students have their own bathroom in the room. Others, who don,t need to go downstairs for shower or bathroom. We also have a restaurant which is led by our teachers and where the students of such work and cook. Beside that, we also have 2 canteens, where every student is given 20 kroons per day for lunch. My day starts off at 8.30, normally we have an 1.5 hour lesson painting, ceramics or so. After that we often have a lunch break which is sometimes eaven up to 1hour. After the lunch break we go to a few more lessons. My day ends up at about 16.00-17.00. For the lessons being so long we actually don't have a lot of home work. Often we stay at the Décor to some together, just because it is more fun to do it together with someone
