with school and competition, rivalry, witch always associates with schooling, too young, shortens the childhood and may affect negatively self-esteem, success and coping in the future. Children´s job is to play, it develops child the best, so I think anyone shouldn't forbit humans inherent needs. Children don´t have to become too fast to an adult. The high school in Great Britain starts at age eleven, but in Estonia at about age fifteen. Biggest difference is that in Great Britain they prepare young people to get a job or continue studing, but in Estonia this is only first step of educational life. After primary school in Estonia you have two ways to walk: high school or industrial school, where they get profession. Youngsters in United States of America and Great Britain have easier to make choice choosing a profession, because there they start to prepare people to get a job very early. High

Report

REPORT PURPOSE The purpose of this report is to compare the opinions of Estonian and British students about education. The report is based on 2 surveys carried out in Estonia and the United Kingdom. THE AIM OF CHILDREN’S EDUCATION As predicted all the Estonian children questioned, think that the main aim of children’s education is to prepare them for everyday life. Surprisingly 73% of the questioned British children think that the aim of children’s education is to prepare them for a career. Only 23% of the questioned British think that school prepares them for everyday life. The result surprised me because it showed that British kids and Estonian kids think very differently. THE SCHOOL UNIFORM Surprisingly, 17% of the questioned Estonian students approved the school uniform, for me it was surprising that so many approved the school uniform. Predictably, 74% of the questioned British students approved school uniform, which was expected, because

deciduous forest- Animals in temperate deciduous forests have to adapt to changing seasons. They must be able to cope with cold winters and hot summers. Some animals hibernate or migrate during the winter to escape the cold. Animals who do not hibernate or migrate must have special adaptations to deal with higher exposure to predators in the winter. When leaves fall, there is less cover for animals in this biome to hide from predators. Temperate rainforest- The animals use most of the fall to prepare for the merciless winter season. The animals that leave during the winter, including songbirds and some butterflies, migrate south for a warmer and sunnier winter. Some animals that do stay in the temperate forest avoid the winter by hibernating, or sleeping. All of these animals prepare for hibernation by eating large amounts of food during the summer and fall seasons. They gain enough fat so that they can survive hibernating during the winter and not be emaciated when they wake up

Inglise keele C1 tase essee - holiday time

Holiday time My holiday began from a class trip to Tartu. There we visited the Estonian National Defence College. Afterwards, I took a bus ride to Tallinn, where I spent the rest of my holiday. Due to my brother moving house, I had to help him out with that. The majority of the work involved stacking firewood from one shed to another, whilst sorting it out to dried and raw. During free time, we went shopping into different shopping centres. I left Tallinn on Saturday, so I would have a day to prepare for school.

Dear Sir, The report describes the problem of student transport. In order to prepare this report we interviewed students from all parts of college. According to students we spoke to, the car park is used by a lot of visitors and year by year more students have more cars. Not surprisingly, the car park becomes full and there are not enough possibilities to leave car. The second problem is that the buses often run late and are always full. The majority of students cannot afford the taxi fare from home to college. Some of them are unwilling to go on foot,

Christmas letter

Dear John, Thank you for your letter. It was very interesting to get to know more about British Christmas and the traditions related to it, but now I would like to write about how we celebrate Christmas in Estonia. Usually we start to prepare for Christmas four weeks before it, by putting out advent candles. Each week we light one, till by Christmas it's four of those. On Christmas Eve we usually go to cemetery, where we light candles and also go to church to hear Christmas service and where well known Christmas songs are sung. After that we go home, to eat traditionally sauerkraut with potatoes and blood sausage and also roast pork or brawn. Earlier we have baked and decorated gingerbreads.

Schools kill creativity

Kristiina Moosel N-14 Ken Robinson had a greate speech in TedX 2006. He was discussing about creativity and how we help ourselves and others to develope it. Mostly I agreed with him but still there were some points, where I could argue with him. Ken Robinson says noone knows how’ll the future be like. The future where our kid’s are going to have to live in. Still our education system wants us to prepare them for that. Prepare them for the mystery, for something we have no idea about how it’s going to be. If I had no younger relatives, I’d have to dissagree with him - I mean, when I was in secondary school I had to study mostly only those subjects I’d really need in the future. But I have some relatives younger than I am. The youngest is 9 right now. And when I look at what she must study, well, I studied it in 4th or 5th grade and I didn’t have to study that much with that

Academic success in my culture

may not have all of the perfect components, but they rise above their difficulties to have success. Whether a student is gifted academically or not, an important factor is personal determination. Students, who invest more of their free time in their studies and make more effort in lectures than their peers, generally have higher levels of academic achievement. A key component to success is a student's work ethic. Students who are willing to put extra hours in to study and prepare for classes and presentations tend to improve their skills and academic abilities. Students, who take less challenging classes or are satisfied with less work, often will have the result of average academic success. As much as teachers, classes and schools are factors in student academic success, parents hold an equally important role. This includes having adult figures, who are positive role models, who value the importance of education as well as providing an appropriate

In order to prepare this report I handed out to their recent customers questionnaires in order to get the most recent data. Usually I do my homework for 2 or 3 hours and I think it's quite a long time for me to prepare for lessons. And if I have problems with my studies I tell about it to my friends, they always help me when I have problems. I look forward to hearing from you With love your Uku.

What can be done to prevent petty crime?

in order to not become victims of this criminal activity. It is very important to make people understand that they should also protect themselves because the police can only interfere after the crime. There are people who oppose these methods by believing that these will be time consuming and expensive, because they don’t think that teenagers will go to such meetings. Furthermore they hope that they won’t be victims of such acts and they don’t want to prepare for them. In conclusion, I believe that petty crime can be prevented with organising meetings and by preparing oneself for it. It is good to stop petty crime, so in my opinion, petty crime can be prevented.

Gym Hazards

All attempts to resuscitate her were futile. Born with a heart defect, she was risking her life when she pulled on her fitness gear. A whole range of things should be taken into account before starting a training but unfortunately, many fitness instructors still fail to take a detailed personal history of their clients. It's crucial to work out first undergoes of "warm-up" a succession of low-intensity movements to prepare the body for exercise by increasing circulation. Equally important is "cooling down" at the end of a workout. Stopping suddenly, especially when fatigued, can bring cramps and fainting. Today's gyms are packed with an array of equipment so beginners should be given detailed, individual induction. The most common problems are repetitive stress injuries: inflammation of tendons, fractures of the bone etc.

Inglise keele essee teemal: ,,Senior high school students – old enough to live on their own?\'\'

Senior high school students, are they old enough to live on their own or not? Moving out on your own for high school at the age of 16 can be a thrilling experience. No more restrictions and home coming times or annoying schedules. Is this freedom suitable for everyone then, especially at that age? Despite the fact that you have the freedom of choice to do everything you want to there are many disadvantages. Like your mom is not there every day to prepare you a hot dish, doing the laundry and washing the tableware, also all the phone-, water- and electricity bills to be paid or the simple fact that you have to buy everything from the food to the toilet paper - all by yourself. This may be too difficult to high school students. So you might end up using large amounts of alcohol or some illegal substances to relax more in the weekends. On the other hand there are also advantages. It's a great chance when the person realizes all the

There should be compulsory school subjects. Students should be allowed to choose the subjects they want to study. Do you agree?

On other hand, young people usually don't know what they will do in the future, so it can be very difficult for them to make a choice. They have to learn all subjects for a few years to have a possibility to choose some of them. Moreover, people need to have general knowledge about the world. It is good to know at least some basic things about everything. And of course some students might only choose ,,easy" subjects. To conclude, high schools are places where students go to prepare for their future, and for the reasons that; students should be given the chance to take their future into their own hands, in addition that students know a specific job they will do in the future and hate majoring in subjects they consider as their nightmares, they shoud be given the opportunity to select the courses they want to study.

It manifests a lot of emotions during the jump and gives a very relaxing feeling once you get back on the ground. I will start by describing what I felt when I was at the Koigi airfield ready for getting on the plane. As I was making my way to the plane, I was going over seven steps in my mind: count to seven, grab the controls, check the dome, check the wind direction, make sure anybody isn’t close, locate the landing area and prepare for landing 600 meters above ground. It all sounded very easy in my mind, but how would I know it if I had never done it before? We were getting on the plane and I was getting more and more nervous, when our instructor told us that if we did not jump he would kick us out with his leg and that made me even more nervous. After we got to the jumping altitude our instructor opened the door and told me: “You are first”.

School Uniforms

So, are the uniforms good for pupils or not? There are many good sides of wearing uniforms. First, everyone is equal. There would be no fights or teasing about people's clothes because everyone is wearing the same ones. Secondly, school uniforms help to create a strong sense of belonging somewhere. With different clothes no one would notice, that for instance you and your friend go the same school. It would be easier to recognize people with their uniforms. Uniforms also prepare you for your future life, when you often have to dress smart when you go to work. It is a lot easier to dress every morning because you do not have to choose between different sets of clothes. You will have only one to choose the uniform. However, I think, that students should not wear uniforms. Wearing uniforms will make individuality dissapear and as a result we would have a group of students in grey or blue uniforms. We could not express ourselves by what we wear. The

Competition good or bad ?

That means to train every day without complaining about the lack of free time. Furthermore, competition is needed in order to be able to compare different things. If we do not compete, we can not ever know who is stronger, better and smarter. We can only say our own subjective opinion. For instance, If we need to make university admission tests, we all know, the smartest win.Clearly we understand that all have chances to win, because everyone must pass the same test and have equal chances to prepare for it. Opponents of this view say that the competition is not necessary, because we can not compare due to the fact that we all are different. Even in nature there is nothing exactly the same. Also, people have different skills- somebody can sing well, the other person is an excellent communicator, and the third is good in mathematics. How to tell who is the most talented? To sum up, there are several good and also many bad sides of competition. In my opinion

I have always dreamed of getting married

Story I have always dreamed of getting married. I often went weak at the knees when somebody was talking about marriage even if i did not have a boyfriend yet. I even went to great lengths to find perfect wedding dress before i started to look for the perfect man. So one day i desided to get a degree and for this reason i went to university. I went in for a class and to start with the teacher there was very beautiful. I was used to doing faces to handsome guys but now that he was my teatcher,he got very upset. He said that i was getting on his nerves whenever i made my stupid face. After a while he got the hang of that i was into him and finally he asked me out. We got on very well while we were out on a date. After a year i went by his office and i saw him with the ring if i havent been there at that time i would have never knew what he was planning to do. After graduation

In Estonia, to get a free spot in college, you must make the top eight. There are also some places for scholarships. Each year hundreds of students want to do as well as possible on their exams, because the competition is very high and fierce to get a place in these schools. It makes people to try harder and be more conscientious with things they try to accomplish. Since I already know what I want to do in the future, I have had time to think about things and prepare for this. I have taken college-level math, done a lot of research and now, I'm attending high school in the states to improve my English, so that I can speak it fluently. Nothing comes easy. The journey to become an air traffic controller will be definitely hard, but since I love new challenges and a bumpy lifestyle, I am more than ready and crazily excited. Having goals for the future helps you grow more as a
