If I were the minister of education

If I were the minister of education, I would do changes in education system. We have a lot of problems in education. Firstly, I would change the exam system. I will lose the national tests to make the schools themselves and instead of school examinations. It increases the benefit of the examinations passed. What is very positive. Also, it would make life easier for students. Secondly, we should pay more attention to rural schools. There are a lot of schools which would be needed to renovate. It should be a lot of money to invest. We should not focus only on the city schools. Finally, as far as I know from year to year decrease in the number of high school graduates. And this is a great loss for our education. Because we need more and more people to teach at

Mistake

I think that one of the biggest mistakes I have recently made was that I did not do any revision before going to the entrance examinations to get into Hugo Treffner’s high school. It all started in February after I had submitted my request to Hugo Treffner’s high school’s entrance examinations. I promised to myself that I will spend at least half an hour a day to revise all the things I had learned in primary school. I had always dreamed of studying there. During the first week I could almost keep my promise and spent the time I wanted to spend on revising, but after that I got very lazy and did not keep up with my revising at all. So time went by and I did not worry at all about the entrance exams until the day they were already there. The examination took place in room 204

Summary Education

For example they have go to school 2 years earlier than us. Primary school is for pupils aged 5-11. Though schooling is only compulsory from age 5 in the UK, children most commonly enter Reception Class aged 4 in the academic year in which they will reach their 5th birthday. When pupils are aged 7 they sit Key Stage 1 [SATs]. Key Stage 2 SATs are taken when pupils are aged 11. Secondary school is for pupils aged 11-16. 11-13 years old pupils study a broad range of 10–15 subjects. No public examinations are taken during this time. Traditionally, at the age of 14 students start a programme that lasts for 2 years and during which time they study up to 11 subjects of their choice. After this students take GCSE state examinations After 16 attending at school isn't compulsory but pupils can stay at school, go to college, or take up an apprenticeship or a part-time training course. The examination system is also different. In Britain, students have to take every year Teacher exams. At the end of key two, they have to take National Curriculum Test (NCT). At age sixteen, they have to take the General Certificate of Secondary Education exam (GCSE). A-level is an Advanced level GCE qualification. This exam is normally taken after two years of A-level study. In Estonia, at the end of basic education there are three final examinations: Mother tongue, Mathematics, and a chosen exam. At the end of secondary education there are five graduation examinations: Mother tongue, Mathematics, English language and two chosen exams. Also, in eleventh form you have to do research. To conclude, the main differences between British and Estonian system are basically connected with school names and ages. British examination system differs from Estonian system largely. British system is more complicated than Estonian system.

7. He wouldn't accept a cheque as payment. 8. I have had an account at that bank for years. IV Exercise In Britain, some children start their education by going to a kindergarten or nursery school when they are 2 or 3 years old. They must go to school from the age of 5, when they usually enter the state school system by attending primary school until they are 11 years old. Then they go on to a secondary school, which they can leave when they reach 16. Before leaving, students sit their GCSE examinations in 8 or 9 subjects. If they want to go on to study at university, they stay at school for 2 more years and then do A-level examinations in 3 or 4 subjects. Some parents decide to pay for their children's education and send them to a private school. At university a student studies for his degree for 3 or 4 years and, if successful, he will graduate with either a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree. Finally, a student

But state schools are free and parents do not have to pay for education. Secondly, private schools are more strict than state schools. Another vital aspect is that public schools have a more strict evaluation system and there is a lot of homework. However when we compare state and public schools then it is seen that the results of examinations for students of private schools are higher than in state schools. On the one hand i know that well-off families prefer public education because it will give their children more opportunities. On the other hand when a lot of children learn in private schools then may be in the future we ought to for pay education in every school. But i hope that it will not happen. Another important difference concerns facilities. There is no doubt that the bigger

Surviving exams Taking an exam or test is something everyone has experienced in one form or another at some point in life. Everyone gets stressed during exams but it is important not to let it get out of control. The suggestions below may help you cope with the stress and revise for examinations successfully. Firstly, I think it would be a good idea to create a study timetable for revision. A timetable helps you to make clear goals for each revision session and assign a timescale in which to achieve them. As a result, you can reduce anxiety, reassure that you have taken all your necessary steps and increase your motivation to sit down and learn. Secondly, I recommend taking breaks periodically. This would mean that your concentration is

If I were the Minister of Education in Estonia If I were the minister of education in Estonia, I would change many things. Firstly, I would rather spend our money on building schools and purchasing new equipment for teaching, than wasting it on our tough national examinations, because there are a lot of schools that would need a new building. Secondly, English would be taught as a second language at schools. It must be a compulsory subject, because most of the world's population is talking English. I would have all the textbooks revised so that they would be updated with latest happenings and etc. Especially history, because we are learning from textbooks that are missing a lot of information that has been discovered after the book was printed

It was introduced in the UK in 1988 to replace O-level and CSE examinations. There has been a move recently from doing coursework and modular examinations for part of the course when pupils would take exams throughout the course to an end of year exam after the two years of study (a 'linear' series)
