Energy of waves vs. period and responsible momentum 2 Three forces to attack the waves There are three forces that are responsible for wave formation. Two of them (gravitational force and Coriolis force) are supporting the formation, one of them (surface tension) reduces the high of waves. At first the gravitational force: This one out of four forces in physics is dominant for wave generation. The gravitational force drives the water from the crest of a wave to wave through. Because of this the potential energy of the elevated water masses is converted into kinetic energy of the waves. The coriolis force is a minor one. This force force is caused by the rotation of the earth. Waves which are caused by this force are very long. The wavelength could be about one km. The surface tension works against the two forces mentioned above. The force
cross the entire expanse of the Pacific Ocean in less than a day. And their long wavelengths mean they lose very little energy along the way. In deep ocean, tsunami waves may appear only a foot or so high. But as they approach shoreline and enter shallower water they slow down and begin to grow in energy and height. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN IT HITS LAND? • A tsunami’s trough, the low point beneath the wave’s crest, often reaches shore first. When it does, it produces a vacuum effect that sucks coastal water seaward and exposes harbor and sea floors. This retreating of sea water is an important warning sign of a tsunami, because the wave’s crest and its enormous volume of water typically hit shore five minutes or so later. Recognizing this phenomenon can save lives. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN IT HITS LAND?

Bridal Veil Falls. The Horseshoe Falls lie mostly on the Canadian side and the American Falls entirely on the American side, separated by Goat Island. The smaller Bridal Veil Falls are also located on the American side, separated from the other waterfalls by Luna Island. Geology · About 10,900 years ago, the Niagara Falls was located between present-day Queenston, Ontario, and Lewiston, New York, but erosion of their crest has caused the waterfalls to retreat approximately 6.8 miles (10.9 km) southward. The Horseshoe Falls, which are approximately 2,600 feet (790 m) wide, have also changed their shape through the process of erosion; evolving from a small arch, to a horseshoe bend, to the present day gigantic inverted V. Characteristics · The volume of water approaching the falls during peak flow season may sometimes be as much as 6,400 m3 per second.
Aastal 1896 hakkas Colgate & Co New Yorgis omi hambapastasid samamoodi tuubidesse tootma, nagu Sheffield. Fluoriid lisati esimest korda hambapastale 1914. aastal, mida kritiseeris Ameerika Hambaarstide Liit aastal 1937. Fluoriidi sisaldavad hambapastad aktsepteeriti Ameerika Hambaarstide Liidu poolt 1950ndatel. Heakskiidu saanud hambapastasid hakkas edasi arendama kompanii Procter & Gamble ning esimene selline ilmus aastal 1955 ja kandis nime Crest. Aastal 1960 kinnitas Ameerika Hambaarstide Liit, et Crest on efektiivne hammaste lagunemise vastu. Riigi fluoriidi sisaldus hambapastades varieerub, oleneb kehtestatud piirangutest ja soovitustest. Näiteks paljudes Aafrika riikides on fluoriidi sisaldus hambapastades kordi kõrgem kui Ameerika Ühendriikides kasutatavates pastades. center of the design, allowing the viewer to see Mt Fuji in the background. Edmond de Goncourt described the wave in this way: The drawing of the wave is a deification of the sea made by a painter who lived with the religious terror of the overwhelming ocean completely surrounding his country; He is impressed by the sudden fury of the ocean's leap toward the sky, by the deep blue of the inner side of the curve, by the splash of its claw-like crest as it sprays forth droplets.[23] Andreas Ramos, a writer, notes: [...]a seascape with Fuji. The waves form a frame through which we see the mountain. The gigantic wave is a yin yang of empty space beneath the mountain. The inevitable breaking that we await creates a tension in the picture. In the background, a small wave forming a miniature Fuji is reflected by the distant mountain, itself shrunk in perspective. The little wave is larger than the mountain

3500 years ago. • The thylacine resembled a large, short-haired dog with a stiff tail which smoothly extended from the body in a way similar to that of a kangaroo. • Its yellow-brown coat featured 13 to 21 distinctive dark stripes across its back, rump and the base of its tail, which earned the animal the nickname “tiger". • Its body hair was dense and soft, up to 15 mm (0.6 in) in length; in juveniles the tip of the tail had a crest. Extinction in Australia • The thylacine is likely to have become near- extinct in mainland Australia about 2,000 years ago, and possibly earlier in New Guinea. • The absolute extinction is attributed to competition from indigenous humans and invasive dingoes. • Humans had an adverse effect on the environment and brought disease to Australia that their arrival drove the thylacine to extinction. Theatres in Estonia Native Estonian theatre, born in 1870 with the plays of the patriotic poetess Lydia Koidula, came into being on the crest of national awakening. Its tastes were at first pretty simple, the favourite genres being folk comedy and romantic melodrama, although both also transmitted halfhidden social and political attitudes. In less than forty years, in 1906, the leading amateur companies, the "Vanemuine" in the university town Tartu and the "Estonia" in Tallinn, could become professional, and in 1911 the "Endla" of P ärnu joined them.

Australians. The flag with its colours of red (representing the land), black (representing the people) and the yellow in the middle (representing the sun) is a source of pride for Indigenous Australians. The present coat of arms was granted by King George V in 1912. It consists of a shield containing the badges of six Australian states, enclosed by an ermine border. The shield is a symbol for the federation of the states, which took place in 1901. The crest, which is above the shield, is a seven-pointed gold star on a blue and gold wreath. The seven points of the star represent exactly the same thing that they do on the flag. The supporters of the shield are native Australian animals: the red kangaroo and the emu. Usually the coat of arms is depicted on the background of sprays of golden wattle with a scroll beneath it containing the word `Australia'. Australia's national anthem is `Advance Australia Fair', which replaced `God Save the
This is also explained by the mechanism detailed in the 2016 report findings. The black pigmented cells that have moved across the embryo surface multiply to form black islands (clonal patches), while the red pigmented cells that moved across the surface multiply to form red patches. OLDER / ALTERNATIVE THEORIES FOR BICOLOUR PATTERNS Above: "Olga", an attractive brown bicolour owned by Sarah Richie It used to be thought that when the melanoblasts arose from the "neural crest" - the area along the back of the embryo -they migrate all over the body during formation of the skin. Where cells failed to reach their allotted positions before the skin was fully formed, those areas lacked pigment. This seemed to explain why the white is most often found on the paws, belly and chest - those areas are the most remote from the neural crest and take longest to reach. The slower the migration of cells, the less colour there will be. It also explained why the back

The abrupt sound and the violent action behind it spurred my desire to a fever pitch. "Go slow," he ordered hoarsely, lifting his hips to push his pants down farther. His erection brushed between my legs as he moved and I whimpered, so aching and empty, as if the orgasms he'd given me earlier had only deepened my craving rather than appeased it. He tensed when I wrapped my fingers around him and positioned him, tucking the wide crest against the saturated folds of my cleft. The scent of our lust was heavy and humid in the air, a seductive mix of need and pheromones that awakened every cell in my body. My skin was flushed and tingling, my breasts heavy and tender. This is what I'd wanted from the moment I first saw him-to possess him, to climb up his magnificent body and take him deep inside me. "God. Eva," he gasped as I lowered onto him, his hands flexing restlessly on my thighs.

laughter and crying. Sentimental stories can bring an audience to a catharsis of tears by pushing their emotions to a climax. T h e death of a beloved character, like Mr. Chips or the doomed young woman in Love Story, may be the climactic moment. Such characters are inevitably "resurrected" in the hearts and memories of those who loved them. Laughter is one of the strongest channels of catharsis. A comedy should crest with a gag or a series of gags that create a virtual explosion of laughter, jokes that relieve tension, purge sour emotions, and allow us a shared experience. T h e classic Warner Bros, and Disney short cartoons are constructed to reach a climax of laughter, a crescendo of absurdity, in only six minutes. Full-length comedies have to be carefully structured to build to a climax of laughter that releases all the boxed-in emotions of the audience.
17,000 vertical feet of climbing and more than 22,000 feet of downhill knee destruction. He nished in just over 26 hours. Compared to the mere 11-hour Ironman, he'd reduced his training from 30 hours per week to 10.5 hours per week. But the 10.5 hours per week was still too much, and his body was still su ering, as was his marriage. On September 15, 2007, after further re nement, Brian completed what is considered the fourth-toughest 100-mile run in the world, the Angeles Crest 100.14 This time, he averaged just 6.5 hours of training per week, which included strength training (almost three hours), CrossFit, intervals, and pace work. His body had learned to become aerobic at the higher paces, even during speed training. Just before adopting this training mix, his one-rep max in the squat was 250 pounds.15 Three weeks before the race, he could easily squat 240 pounds for six consecutive reps, and he hadn't put on a single pound of body weight.
