Do you consider yourself more functionalist or more conflict theorist? Please explain why? Functionalism and conflict theory are very different views of society, but they are not exactly opposites. Both have arguments, that make people think about the society they live in and both have theorists who critize each other. In my opinion, none of the theories are completely wrong but I do tend to agree with people on the conflict theory side. Firstly, functionalism ignores inequality and focuses too much on the positive functions in society. For example racism, functionalists will say that it must be imporant in order to exist as long as it has but in my opinion that sounds quite doubtful. The most problematic part about racism is above all the tension and conflict which comes with it. Seems to me, that functionalists ignore the negative sides which society has on people. Secondly, I agree ...

Additionally, learning the habits of healthy eating can improve your health by boosting your energy, sharpening your memory and stabilizing your mood.
You are going to write your own magazine article on what your life will be like in ten years' time. 1.what are you doing now? 2.how do you see yourself changing in the next few years? 3.what will you be doind 4.what will you have done? 5.where will you be living 6.will you have got married? 7.will you have travelled a lot? Everybody has their dreams and ideas, how they want they're life to be. Right now I am a school student. I'm dancing, playing guitar and just hang out with my friends. I'm in the tenth grade of high-school, so I have only two years to decide what I want to do after graduating. But I think I don't
“They always say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself” Some people say that time changes and heals things. There are also people who disagree with that and say that you actually have to change things yourself. It is my opinion that time is irrevelant and you have to change things yourself. At first, you may conclude that time does indeed change things, but is that an accurate conclusion? It’s true that time constantly moves on and we live in a constantly changing environment. But that doesn’t make time responsible for change. For example, if you are depressed and you cry constantly and you don’t make a change, the same problem will be in your face very day. Time and Change are both constant, but their relationship is random. Over the
The school holiday – time for new challenges and adventures Changes and challenges can come in many forms. An holiday is the perfect place to try something new, to push yourself to a new limit and realise your dreams. You can do something that you've never tried before, like going to new places or take part of the adventure games. You can go to the gym or run every day 5 km. I like to go hiking in the woods or just take a daytrip to a city where I have never been before. The other possibility is to go for a mental challenge, like learning new language, or reading an interesting book. It is good challenge to take a science or philosophy book, something that
future. But, if look closely, you will find out. that nobody is 100% sure of their chosen career paths. Nobody was born knowing their career or their life purpose. Sometimes, or may I say, almost in all occasions, you must have faith in something. It’s like believing in something, when others will say it’s impossible or pointless. Nowadays, we get a lot of advice from our parents, teachers and from everyone. But what is most important is that you have to dig deep down and ask yourself, who do you want to become. Not which career path will guarantee you money and success, not career path that your parents want, not the career path that most of the young people follow. No! Figure out what makes you happy no matter how crazy it sounds. The easiest way to figure out, what you like is ask yourself one simple question: ‘Would you be willing to work for free in that position?’ So, to sum it up in two words: ‘Trust yourself.’ If you don’t trust yourself, nobody will
REPORT This report compares different types of injuries. Reading this report you will get to know what are the parts of the body that get injured most frequently. The first parts of the body are fingers. According to the graph fingers are most commonly injured 13, 4 %.I think that is normal, because we use our fingers all the time and it is easy to cut into yourself . If you have injured yourself with a knife , then you should try to stop the bleeding and use a plaster. The second most common injuries happen to your skulls 6,5 %. You might hurt your skull by falling or getting hit by something. If you do injure your skull then it is better to see a doctor, who will tell you what to do. This graph shows that eyes are injured also quite commonly-6,1 %. Your eyes might get hurt because of wind or something might fall into them

I think it’s not good because if they are always in social media talking with friends then people can’t interact with people outside the internet. Options after secondary school Im going to talk about different choices after secondary school. Firstly, a lot of students after graduating secondary school want to study more. There are two ways to continue your studies. The first choice is to continue the academic education in universities. It is the best way to educate yourself and later after graduation there will be some jobs with quite big salaries. The other way to continue your studies is to get vocational education. It includes different professions on technical field. It is a really great way to quarantee yourself a job, because after vocational school you have the necessary skills to work on certain job. It is always nice to have a place to stay when you accidentally end up in Japan or Australia for a few days. Being an exchange student is also a fabulous chance for travelling. Getting to know a new country so well is definitely not possible during a holiday or a short visit. Besides living in a new culture for a long period of time will teach you more about the culture than reading any book about it. Studying abroad is also a great way to master another language. When you suddenly find yourself immersed in a world where everyone speaks another language, you may find yourself immersed in a world where everyone else speaks another language; you may be scared out of your mind. But this wears off and before you know it you'll be fluent. An exchange student will also get more independent. When you study abroad, there is no going home to your parents, when you feel lonely or need to get your dirty laundry washed. You are on your own
TRAVELLING not so easy as it seems to be "What if we go to..." or just "Hi! I'm back from Egypt!" these are some of the sentences which we all have heard from our friends. Of course we all want to travel and see the world but it might not be so easy as it seems to be. Travelling has its drawback too. You will get new experiences and see different places of the world but all of this has its negative side too. On the one hand you can familiarize yourself with different cultures, see interesting places and sights. Also you can just relax and enjoy yourself or just stop thinking about your problems. On the other hand travelling needs a lot of money and free time. Also you have to know anything about that country where are you going. You have to be sure about your safety too if anything should happen to you. You can never be sure that the plain you are flying with doesn't cause plain crash
A lot alikes banding together doesn't matter weather you're an athlete, a cheerleader, a musician or a writer, you are not the only one, so school is supporting different activity clubs. New cafeteria's opening we do need places to eat and drink! Autumn ball as soon as everybody has mingled together they can start dancing! The few things I really suggest are when in class, look around, remember the faces and in every chance introduce yourself. Also it leaves a good impression being nice and cheerful all the time. I think that most of the young people always welcome new companions and making friends shouldn't be hard at all, especially when you are willing to be a friend yourself. Enjoy the year and new experiences
think I can help you. The first thing you have to do is tell your parents. They can help you get back on track with your studies. It's easier if you share your problems with others. Remember, a trouble shared is a trouble halved. You won't have to lie to them anymore and they will encourage you so you won't be so worried about the exams. When you have told your parents about your results you really should stop worrying so much. This is your main problem. The more you say to yourself you can't do it the less are youre chances of passing. Even geniuses can't get a good score if they worriy so much. If I were you I would go into the nature and relax for a while. Rest for some time and when you feel ready and calm you should start revising. Figure out what went wrong and learn as much as you can. Try to explain yourself what you did in every exercise. If you know how to explain what you are doing and why are you doing it you can't be wrong
successfully. Firstly, I think it would be a good idea to create a study timetable for revision. A timetable helps you to make clear goals for each revision session and assign a timescale in which to achieve them. As a result, you can reduce anxiety, reassure that you have taken all your necessary steps and increase your motivation to sit down and learn. Secondly, I recommend taking breaks periodically. This would mean that your concentration is better and you find yourself retaining more information than if you try to revise with an over- tired mind that does not remember what it just read. Lastly, it is also important to stay calm and positive. Spend time doing something relaxing each day, such as listening to your favorite music, going for a walk or swim. You also need to make sure you eat and sleep well and get some exercise. In this way, you will feel relaxed and connected to others and the world as you keep working through the revision.
I went to an adventure camp, I climbed Retezat Mountains and it was amazing. Retezat is a place for weekends and also for long staying. Rausor - Pietrele - carnic are turist attracions were you can find camping places, hotels, villas. The most important sights are the mountain peaks and also the lakes. The entire massif is permeated by accessible pathways for all tourists. By purchasing a map of the Retezat Mountains, you will surely manage to orient yourself; the signs and markers are in top notch condition. Due to the great tourist feed, these markers are maintained permanently by the rescue teams. For those who want to explore the pathways and trails, don't wander off without the minimum equipment: hiking boots, raincoat, torch, rucksack, warm clothing. For an enjoyable stay, it is advisable to come equipped with a portable cooking burner and a small gas tube, (you are not allowed to light fire in the park), a sleeping bag and a tent.
There might be few negative things when you train each day, but it's usually because people get too into it. You shouldn't train so hard that you overwhelm your body. It doesn't get you bigger muscle or burn more fat. The other thing that people might do is that they start at early age which might stop you from growing taller. I think that every people should train every day for their own good. You are more healthy and you feel better about yourself. You just have to adjust it, so you don't go over the line and hurt yourself or your body. Stella Toomsoo 10.klass
that actually cities aren't clean enough. The Aair pollution is growing every day, but how can WE change it? Firstly, we should watch out for the garbage we produce. Many things that are thrown away can be recycled, but some of the people aren't aware of that. They throw things away which may be dangerous for nature. Another solution is to use more buses and bicycles. Every family member doesn't need his/her own car. When you move more in fresh air, you will feel better yourself, your health will be better and you will reduce air pollution levels. Finally, big-factory owners should pay attention where they build on their factories. I think that it is very important that they don't build them in the middle of cities. The pollution twhat comes from the factories is bigdrastic. In conclusion, there are many ways to make our cities' air pollution levels lower. We all need to do what we can. As the old proverb says "To make things better, you should start with yourself"
How to find work you love Ted Talks, Scott Dinsmore His point is that if you want to find work you love, you must understand yourself, your unique strengths (the things you want to do, even if your not getting paid) and become a self-expert, to know what you are looking for in a job and what success means to you. You must also figure out what are your values and analyze your experiences. Once you have this framework together, you can start to identify the things that you want in your life and work. Do the impossible and push your limits. I think that Scott Dinsmore thinks in the right direction
control over the use of it, and continued use despite negative consequences. Studies have shown that people can exhibit all three of these components in relation to food, particularly food that contains sugar or fat. Since chocolate contains both, it is often used in studies of food addiction. Why it's bad Eating too much chocolate is bad because it's not healthy food it's bad for you teeth you will get fat How can you break it To stop your chocolate addiction you have to convince yourself to eat less. Learn to differentiate between need and want. We need certain amounts of different foods but often we want more. Before you buy, think: 'Do I need it?' This may be hard but you can do it. Help yourself by not having chocolate at home. Break the habit of having snacks during the day. If you think boredom is a reason why you eat so much, do something healthier instead, such as going for a walk or simply having a glass of water. Thank you for your attention! https://www
QUESTIONS AND ROLE PLAY When you have completed your monologue, you will be asked 4-5 questions related to the topic of your monologue. This is nothing like asking and answering questions: try to behave as if in a real conversation. Respond naturally in 2-3 utterances but you are not expected to be lengthy at this stage. Speak fluently with appropriate pronunciation and intonation and only natural pauses. Express yourself confidently, clearly and politely. If you fail to understand the question, say `Pardon?' with the rising tone and the interviewer will interpret the question to make it clear for you. The following expressions of asking someone to repeat can also be useful: - Could you say that again, please? - Would you mind repeating that, please? - Could you repeat that, please? Once you have finished, you will be moved on to the next task. The interviewer will hand you a card with a task on it
Dear Kaisa, 09.10.2011 Hello! How is it going in Estonia? If you remember I'm in Canada and that is why I'm writing you. I miss you and all classmates. Tell hey them from me. The School where I am studying is Académie Ste. Cécile International School. I can take music, drama and languages courses. That is really interesting and I like here. coming times or annoying schedules. Is this freedom suitable for everyone then, especially at that age? Despite the fact that you have the freedom of choice to do everything you want to there are many disadvantages. Like your mom is not there every day to prepare you a hot dish, doing the laundry and washing the tableware, also all the phone-, water- and electricity bills to be paid or the simple fact that you have to buy everything from the food to the toilet paper - all by yourself. This may be too difficult to high school students. So you might end up using large amounts of alcohol or some illegal substances to relax more in the weekends. On the other hand there are also advantages. It's a great chance when the person realizes all the responsibility that he or she has to deal with. But you are not alone, there always be some support from home by helping you with cash for the food and rent. I do not think the main advantage of
I really love photographing sky, sunset, bugs, flowers and animals. In my opinion, photographers task is to get message from nature and show it to the people. I publish my photos on the internet. It's not because I want to be famous. It's just really good to have a feedback. Criticism is always good thing. Smart photographer learns from mistakes. Of course photographer don't have to change just because to please others. You have to stay yourself and follow your style from the beginning to the end. Photographing is a good hobby. Taking photographs is really peasant activity. I don't have good camera, but I don't care, because, if I really want to take good photos, then you have to believe in yourself. There are so many different photos to do. In photo world, you are always unique. Photographing such a good feeling.

Sometimes me order afters too. Hesburger and health food restaurant are very different, one is healthful and one is unhealthy. In general we should all eat a wide variety of nutritious foods, plenty of breads and cereals (particularly wholegrain), vegetables, legumes (such as chickpeas) and fruit, low salt foods, and use salt sparingly, small amounts of foods which contain added sugars. Healthly eating is not about trict nutrition philosophies, staying unrealistically thin, or depriving yourself of the foods you love. Rather, its about feeling great, having more energy and keeping yourself as healthy as possible. Anna Täker 10d 05.02.2010

Beyonce she's my idol, because she is unstoppable, she's powerfull and she shows to the world that everything is possible, if you belive in yourself, if you are yourself, without pretending and that's why she's so special.
We all want to live in clean and a better world. We want to make everyone laugh and happy because it makes us happy. While you are getting older your thought to change the world will disappear. As a teenager you are thinking about your dream job. Maybe you want to be a doctor, a musician or start your own business. They are all very different thoughts but they’re not easy. Big dreams are always difficult. So is changing the world. When you want to change the world, you have to start with yourself. If you change your thinking you will change your feelings. While you are feeling positive it is more easy to change others. You have to be honest with everything and everybody. Do not be afraid to say what you are thinking or feeling. You may regret that what you did not said. Help others with their problems, even if they are just strangers to you. There are always something good in people even if they do bad things, remember that. When you see good in people you will feel more positive
Since the first time they meet, Rita knows that she wants Frank to be her tutor. Frank, however, finds that Rita is rare and unique. That is also the reason, why Frank did not want to teach Rita, he did not want her to change. Thanks to the efforts and sacrifices Rita is able to achieve what she was wanting. The film ends as Frank is sent to Australia and Rita realises that the life with education has the same problems. I think that this film is for everybody. It speaks about finding yourself and about desire to find and develope yourself, which can come anytime, at age 15 or at age 55. For kids under 15 it could be a bit difficult to understand because it is with deep thought. At first the film seemed dull, but when the story developed, then it was interesting and enthralling. I never found it funny, but it was catching. Sometimes it was even a little romantic. The film ended differently than I hoped. I thought that Susan and Frank will stay

mama" ; I think one aspect worth to mention which also makes Thailand of my favourite place is that people in Thailand are very kind, friendly and tolerant. Thailand is often called the ''land of smiles'', and that's true because you can see more smiling people there than anywhere else in the world. And this is not the "American smile", if you know what I mean. Nature, climate and people all together make the feeling so good in Thailand that you really feel yourself as being in paradise. Returning to home, it always takes time to get used with the reality and waking up in the morning you have to ask from yourself: has it really happened with me or was it just a dream? One good fact about Thailand: It snowed in Thailand last in 1955.

I can't roller skate, because i don't have equipment and also we don't have good roads here, because of what it wouldn't be comfortable too roller skate and it would really noisy. I used too have roller skates and i liked to roller skate, but roller skates got to small for me and the roads went more worse. Roller skates are expensive, even used ones. You also need fuses to protect yourself, because you never will know how hard you can fall. These were my favourite hobbies, which aren't not that expensive if you once had bought yourself equpiment. But every hobby has it's own requirements, but if you really want to do something, then there is always light in the end of the tunnel.

If you are struggling to lower your trans fat levels due to health concerns, all you need to do is follow the simple rules set forth by these municipalities. Cut down on deep-fried or processed foods. Choose whole foods, like vegetables and lean protein. If you can't muster the willpower to order healthy when you eat out, try bringing your lunch from home instead of eating out. Healthy eating is not about strict nutrition philosophies, staying unrealistically thin, or depriving yourself of the foods you love. Rather, it’s about feeling great, having more energy, stabilizing your mood, and keeping yourself as healthy as possible—all of which can be achieved by learning some nutrition basics and using them in a way that works for you. You can expand your range of healthy food choices and learn how to plan ahead to create and maintain a tasty, healthy diet. Creating a healthy lifestyle doesn't have to mean drastic changes. Learn From Mistakes, Improve Your Intelligence We are humans. In society it's perfectly acceptable that in one way or another we've failed and will fiddle up again. Everyone does, but we, the people must let go of the past and seek for a better future, to learn, to differ the wrong form the right. Now why do we bollocks up in the first place? The answer lies in you, yourself have to find out why did you fail and what can be learned from it. Frequent failing can cause sadness, depression and lack of motivation but it's not the way to go if you want to succeed in life and become a better you. It's better to understand your mistakes and learn from them to expand your knowledge rather to get everything right and stay on elementary level of problem solving. To fail or not to fail, that is the question. To everyone who state they've never felt failure, first
