ESTONIA VS CHINA Today I shall compare the Baltic country, Estonia, and the highly-populated Asian
country of China. Largely they are going to be very different, sharing little
similarities, but this essay will go in-depth about what makes these two different
nations different. First off, I am going to write about Estonia, a country within Europe. With a land
of 45.227 square kilometers and a population estimated at 1.3 million, Estonia is
quite small when compared to other its neighbors. The Estonian people largely
speak Estonian, as is expected, but many of them also speak Russian and English
as secondary tongues, the latter of which is very valuable for their info-
technology-oriented culture that has progressed within their country, making
Estonia and its inhabitants widely known as being very tech savvy, their rapid
advances since gaining their independence somewhat of a great achievement
not to be overlooked.  Estonians are rather laidback when it comes to social
traditions, shaking hands and loose eye contact is enough to carry you through.
That being said, Estonians are often called “foxes” for their trust-related norms,
as many foreigners have begun to understand that we as Estonians prefer to
keep closed-off social circles, and to be a part of that circle you must prove
yourself as trustworthy. With so many different nations invading and conquering
Estonian throughout history, it makes sense that they wish to seem closed-off to
the rest of the world. Next, the Chinese, who come from the  People’s Republic of China, is the  largest Asian country with a total population of 1.4 billion people, as is estimated
since the year 2016, spread on an area of 9.5 million square kilometers. The Han
Chinese (  漢人), or simply  „Han“ is what we call Chinese people. They are widely  known as being intelligent and also strict when it comes to social norms, greeting
with deep bows. Their culture revolves around respects, honor and precision, Chinese
elderly are to be respected and physical affection like kissing and even hugging or
holding hands may be seen as unacceptable. All in all, Estonians and Chinese show much different styles of behavior, but also
many similarities, primarily they fondness for a more peaceful and quiet environment
next to loud and overly obnoxious surroundings. There is also many nature-related
love in both people, Estonia’s large area of forest makes for a lot of affection coming
for the republic’s peoples, and China’s beautiful landscapes with tall, rocky
mountains and meditative bodies of water are signature symbols of the country and
the Han people, who are known for their calmness and love for the nature that
surrounds them. The culinary in both countries are largely different, Estonia being
very basic, meat and potatoes-like while China is very versatile, with different regions
having different types of food, for example central China housing the spicy foods
whilst east is sweet and light in its meals. To sum things up, Estonia and China show both large differences and close
similarities, making them seem quite close to one another for being so far divided.
Both enjoy calmness and simple lifestyles, one takes high trust to befriend, the other
sees respect as a symbol of friendship.

Estonia vs Australia

ESTONIA VS AUSTRALIA Today, I shall compare the Baltic country, Estonia, and the largest country in Oceania, Australia. Largely they are going to be very different but still sharing little similarities. This essay will go in- depth about what makes these two nations so different. First I'm going to write about Estonia, a country within Europe. Estonia is quite small when compared to the other its neighbours with a land of 45.227 square kilometres and a population estimated at 1.3 million. The Estonian people largely speak Estonian but many of them also speak Russian and English, Russian more common as a secondary language. As being Estonian we know that less is always more. Best to be concise and to the point. Talking a lot and taking centre stage is considered rude and disrespectful. Estonians are known as hardworking,

students plan to travel and learn abroad. In the next issue students expressed their opinions about, which language is easier for learning: English, Estonian (for Russian native speakers) or Russian (for Estonian native speakers). 50% of respondents chose English as the easiest language to learn, while 31.4% chose Estonian. Answering the question whether English should one day become the second state language in Estonia 53% of the respondents were against it. The reason 46% said yes could be that not all people in Estonia see the bond between the language and the national identity, a lot of Russian speaking citizens consider themselves Estonians, despite the fact that their mother tongue is Russian. However, the influence of English culture is so high and the process of globalization continues, it is impossible to predict, what expects us in the future.

Essey: How does the United States influence Estonia

Diana Ostrat Essey How does the United States influence Estonia? The United States of America with it's global economic and political superpower is one of the most influential countries in the world and therefore it’s influence can also be felt in Estonia. Fluctuations in Estonia’s status as an independent country have had significant impact on the amount of influence from other countries, whether it is the language, eating habits or lifestyle. But how has United States influenced Estonia after we gained our independence? Estonia is not economically dependent on the United States as they are not one of our most important trading partners, but as the economics of the United States has a great influence on the

Holidays, Festivals, Cultural events TALLINN - If you're looking for entertainment in Estonia this summer, you are really spoiled for choice. Festivals and events dedicated to the consumption of beer are a lot of fun, but if you want to get the true feel of the country, you need something a little more ethnic. Like a town fair. Just as July becomes August, the seaside town of Haapsalu will host a grand spectacle of rural Estonian entertainment. The White Lady Days is a summer celebration filled with amusement for all the family. Held in and
