THE VALUE OF THINGS VS THE PRICE OF THINGS

but people buy it just to be popular and because everyone else are buying them. For Apple it is good of course, because they are serving benefits. Other example are designer clothes. The value of these clothing items are like clothes from basics shops. Designers sell their clothings for thousands and people are buying them. I think the reason, why people are buying such expensive and overrated products, is that they want to be like each other or show that they are better or richer than the others. It is funny that people do things like these. Some people do not value things that are buyable, they value things, what they have. For example pensioners. They do not want expensive cars, technology, clothes or houses. The most important things for them are good health, healthy family members and warm house. They also want children or grand-children to visit them. Pensioners want peaceful energy and love around them, these are the things that money can not buy

· In life, shit happens, so forget about the past, and make the best of the future! · If you don't understand my silence, how do you understand my words? · Karma exists, good or bad. Karma comes in any ways. It may not come today but it WILL someday. · A man falls in love through his eyes, a woman through her ears. · All men are idiots... But I'm in love with their king. · Boy, if you're looking for perfection, you've got the wrong girl. Go get yourself a Barbie. · If you really love me, you have to love all things about me. · All I really need is somebody who will listen to my bullshit, call me out on my bullshit, & love me despite my bullshit. · When I need you, you're not there. When you need me, I'm always there in a blink. & you call yourself a good friend? Think again. · Haters want to hate & bring you down so let them waste their time & try, I'll never give them the satisfaction of seeing me upset.

THE CAPITALIST NIGER

I arrived in America in December of 1967as an official of what we believed was going to be a dynamic African nation – the young Republic of Biafra. But Biafra was defeated and Nigeria remained one, as a giant of Africa. In the last 32 years, I have watched with horror and outright helplessness as the downward slide of the African race continues to escalate. But rather than address the problems, we resort to blaming the Caucasians, Asians and others for our misfortune. We are not men enough to accept responsibility for our actions. Africans blame either the British, French or little Portuguese/Spanish for their problems. Africans in America blame the Caucasians for all their problems, or any other ethic group they have allowed to take over their neighbours, a frequently recurring phenomena. Africans blame the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the Group of 7, the

Some people pretd to have a disability just to get the disability allowance and not to have to work. In conclusion, social security pays a big role in a lot of people's everyday life. For some people in need, it's the only income they have but also for those people who actually do not need it. Taking loans Borrowing money either from a bank or from someone you know, is usually a vary risky thing to do and if you are not careful it can end really badly. First of all, people usually borrow money because they need money for something they can't afford at the moment either it's a mortage to buy a house or a student loan to help pay for the studies. Secondly, when you take a bank loan, then you have to consider a fact that you have to pay it back with intrests. Sometimes the intrests are small and sometimes awfully big and might but you in even more worse situation before taking the loan.

DOES MONEY BUY EVERYTHING?

DOES MONEY BUY EVERYTHING? Money plays an important part in our lives. In several aspects, it is the most important thing in life.Without money we could not buy our food, clothes and all the other things that we need to live comfortably. We use money not only to meet the basic needs of life but also to pay for our own advancement. We use it for education which helps us to live a better life. But does money buy everything, especially happines? We live in a material world and most of our lives depend on materials for happiness and comfort. All of these materials have to be purchased and so on a very basic level, without money, you cannot survive, at least not very comfortably. This is the very first level of money buying happiness, money can buy things necessary for survival and without life, there is no happiness. Some people say that they have money but they are not still pleased, the

Money

Money. Money is certainly something which is often discussed in today's world. Hardly a day goes by without the subject of money being raised in most people's lives. Everyone uses money. We all want it, work for it and think about it. If you don't know what money is, you are not like most humans. Most people don't spend much time wondering what money is, their major concern is how much they have, and how to get more. However, it is highly debatable whether it is more important than other considerations, such as health and happiness, which some people consider to be of greater significance. We use money every day to pay for things we buy

Where we are is determined by where our cash comes from. Many of us rely on paychecks and are therefore employees, while others are self-employed. Employees and self-employed individuals reside on the left side of the CASHFLOW Quadrant. The right side of it is for individuals who receive their cash from business they own or investments they own. The CASHFLOW Quadrant is about the four different types of people who make up the world of business, who they are and what makes individuals in each quadrant unique. Health

2.2 Recent developments Many scientific advances have helped to improve patient care. Surgical and intensive care units now use electronic equipment. Modern hospitals are full of advanced equipment such as X-ray machines, ultrasound scanners and life-support machines. Computers help hospitals keep laboratory and medical records. Hospitals use many disposable items for safety such as plastic thermometers, and hypodermic syringes and steel needles. They are used only once, so they cannot spread infection. Scientists have also discovered all kinds of important drugs, such as antibiotics, and certain diseases, including tuberculosis and smallpox, have been almost wiped out. Antibiotics are substances, produced by living things, that are poisonous to harmful bacteria, but no the patient. The most important antibiotic is penicillin. Doctors can now also transplant organs such as the heart and the kidneys. 3. The National Health Service

A potentially attractive feature of the present version of Influence lies in its abil- ity to serve as an enjoyable, practical, yet scientifically documented offering. In a re- lated vein, the book might be seen as a way to demonstrate that, properly presented, what often seems like dry science can actually prove to be lively, useful, and relevant to all readers' personal lives. Comment on the Fifth Edition of Influence: Science and Practice It has been some time since Influence was last published. In the interim, some things have happened that deserve a place in this new edition. First, we now know more about the influence process than before. The study of persuasion, compli- ance, and change has advanced, and the pages that follow have been adapted to re- flect that progress. In addition to an overall update of the material, I have devoted

Education

essay on education, I propose to say no more about common sense. Similarly, where do concentration, reflection, analysis and criticism enter? Are they best taught individually, or learned wholly as byproducts of studying mathematics, geography, history, etc? It is obvious that such skills are more valuable than any single subject which might be used as the vehicle to develop them. Inequality. Some students, subjected to identical classwork, learn rapidly and progress, while others fail. How can we predict success or failure, and compensate the at-risk children? Few practical options may be available to teachers. It is inevitable in universal public schooling that the extreme students, either dull or bright, will be hurt by our emphasis on the average. It is horrible to admit, but our society cannot assume that all members are capable of being well educated. We have unequal physical, mental and environmental status, and the poorer fringe will always exist

speak to each other, they could send their message from one place to another by smoke signals, they used mail. Later on, they also had some newspapers. The first expansion of media was when the radio and television were invented. The second and the biggest boom started in 1960s when the first communication satellite was launched into orbit. There are 4 main media: Newspapers, TV, Radio and the Internet. Today's people take this as an ordinary thing and we don't realise that we nearly can't live without it. Media are very important for us. They give us big amount of information, so big that we can't remember all that things. They help us to understand things and if you have lots of information you are able to make your own decisions. This is connected with education and media are very good teachers. They highly influence us. They can help other people making charities... News aren't always true, they are not objective or says just half true.

The latter offers, for example, a wide range of sporting and social activities. The National Union of Students was founded in 1922. It operates through local branches in colleges and universities. It promotes the educational, social and general interests of students. But certainly the most numerous is the Scout Association, founded in 1908 for boys and in 1910 for girls by Lord Baden-Powel. The Scout movement is to encourage a sense of adventure and of responsibility for others among young people. The programme of training is planned to develop intelligence and practical skills, to promote health and a sense of service. Scout training is complementary to the ordinary education. Scouts train in mapping, signalling, first aid and all the skills that arise from camping and similar outdoor activities. British scouts take part in international scout meetings, which are held approximately every four years.

The value of things VS the price of things

ring can be used for engaging with a person that you love. That is value, a memory, an important date and things like such. The difference between value and price is hard to tell. Something pricey can be valuable and the other way around. At the same time, value can be shown in numbers as well. There can be multiple things that are valuable or the value can depends on the price of the thing, but a flower that has been picked up from a garden can be valuable as a rose that was bought for money. Value can depend on how wealthy people are as well, for some people a simple piece of bread can be nothing, meanwhile poorer families look at it as a blessing, something in value that has to be shared and used wisely. Value doesn’t have to be always pricey, mean something or be a part of some kind of a memory, normal things daily can have a value, a car is an example. People need it to drive to work everyday in their normal lives, plates have some value, knifes, forks.

"Career and Employment" Homereading

But Kate Hilpern discovers that plenty of help is at hand Some of the jobs that career changers are most keen to break into PR and teaching, among them are the very same jobs that people are queuing to get out of, says John Lees, author of How to Get a Job You'll Love and Take Control of Your Career. Many of us get to the point, whether in our twenties, thirties, forties or fifties where we decide to change careers. Some of us will make radical changes, while others will move to the edge of their comfort zone, perhaps shifting from acupuncturist to homeopath or PR office to journalist. But the key to making the right decision, says Lees, is to bring your dream back down to life with a hard thump. "I always say to people, 'Find out what you will actually be doing in the job of your dreams. What does the nitty-gritty day-to- day work involve?'" Conversely, he says, people should not be put off by their dreams. "If you did a straw poll

All Marketers are liars

They just perfected it. We tell ourselves stories, because we´re superstitious. Stories are shortcuts we use because we ´re too overwhelmed by data to discover all the details. We tell stories about products, services, friends, job seekers and sometimes even the weather. We tell ourselves stories that can´t possibly be true, but believing those allows us to function. Marketers are a special kind of liars. Marketers lie to consumers because consumers demand it. Some marketers to it well, others pretty bad. Sometimes the stories help people get more done, enjoy life more and even live longer. Other times, when the story isn´t authentic, it can have significant side effects and consumers pay the price. Truly great stories succeed because they are able to capture the imagination of large and important audiences. A great story is true. Not true because it´s factual, but true because it´s consistent and authentic. Great stories make a promise. They promise fun or money, safety or

Countering

Yes, but other things happen in the world which aren't violent. 7.3 Countering politely (through partial agreement followed by antithesis) That may be so, but traditional costumes were made to be worn more than once. That may be true, but then you're inviting political conflict. Who is going to decide whether North American culture is superior to Chinese culture? That may be so, but for most people the whole point of marriage is to live together and raise a family. That might have been the case once, but you forget that mega-stars like Pelé and Ali were the products. They could pull crowds and make vast sums of money. Well, maybe they do, but they've got to learn to live together. I'm against all forms of segregation. You may be right about sport and politics, but it can work both ways. 7.4 Countering using "well" both to cast doubt and for antithesis

provide public goods. Some ideologies, such as libertarian capitalism, are often rebuked, because in such a system all property in a society would be privately owned, away from any state involvement or regulation. Libertarians counter that potential free riders within their system could face social ostracism, which may deter those who accept services without donating any payment for them. Libertarians stress that the need to healthily co- operate and interact with others in society would lessen the risk and likelihood of free riders. 3 The Example The free rider problem has deep roots in more general bargaining, and issues to do with incentive compatibility. That is to say that, when involved in bargaining problems, players may often bid less than they are prepared to pay in the hope of improving their own position

Freedom of speech

Therefore freedom of speech is debateable. Already from the old times Estonians have been fighting for their own freedom, because they do not like to allow to another country or state, foreign public and foreign language. Estonian public have been fighting with German, Russian and a lot of other states. Estonians has strongly tried to keep alive their own nationality, independent that Estonia is a very small state in comparison with other states. Thanks to the Tartu peace treaty, liberty war, finally public achieved to their state a freedom. Republic gives to people feeling that they are free inside and outside to express their own opinion on many subjects. Anyway if I live in Republic I should have to be a chance to express my opinion. There is still a place, where I can not do this. That place is unfortunately my home, what does not makes the homely feeling in me.
