Seven days
It was three o’clock in the morning when the phone rang . I was still sleepy when I answered with a furious tone : „What is it? Do you even know what freaking time is it? It’s 3 in the morning. Why aren ’t you sleeping?“ Suddenly I heard a voice that told me: „Seven days!“ and after that just beep beep beep. At first I thought it’s just some stupid joke but I got frightened and I couldn’t even get any sleep . I creeped downstairs looking after my shoulder from time to time because I had this feeling someone was watching me and when I looked after the window I saw someone standing in the dark alley. That seriously creeped me out! I suddenly remembered that creepy movie called „The Ring“. In the film the person who watched the film got murdered in seven days and they receieved exactly the same phone call as I did. The whole week, I got barely any sleep. I had been like that for already six days straight. When day seven arrived, I was really frightened about what’s going to happen. It was my birthday , but I wasn't in celebration mood because that phone call was still frightening me. I passed out on the couch and in the noon I got a phone call from a friend saying: „Sorry for the phone call seven days ago, HAHAHHAHAAHA! Happy birthday!“

4. Washington (State) -- Fiction.] I. Title. PZ7.M57188Tw2005 [Fic] --dc22 2004024730 Printed in the United States of America For my big sister, Emily, without whose enthusiasm this story might still be unfinished. But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. Genesis 2:17 PREFACE I'd never given much thought to how I would die -- though I'd had reason enough in the last few months -- but even if I had, I would not have imagined it like this. I stared without breathing across the long room, into the dark eyes of the hunter, and he looked pleasantly back at me. Surely it was a good way to die, in the place of someone else, someone I loved. Noble, even. That ought to count for something. I knew that if I'd never gone to Forks, I wouldn't be facing death now. But, terrified as I was, I couldn't bring myself to regret the decision. When life offers you a dream so far beyond any of your

she treated it that way. Thank you, Martha! To Victoria Colotta, for all her hard work on the interior design and typesetting. She took my plain text and made it gorgeous. Thank you, Victoria! To Tera Kleinfelter, who read the first half of Bared to You and told me she loved it. Thank you, Tera! To all girls who were at Cross Creek at some point in your adolescence: May all your dreams come true. You deserve it. And to Alistair and Jessica, from Seven Years to Sin , who inspired me to write Gideon and Eva's story. I'm so glad the inspiration struck twice! 1 "We should head to a bar and celebrate." I wasn't surprised by my roommate's emphatic pronouncement. Cary Taylor found excuses to celebrate, no matter how small and inconsequential. I'd always considered it part of his charm. "I'm sure drinking the night before starting a new job is a bad idea." "Come on, Eva

So on 5th lesson, when everyone's school was already finished, my nightmare started. I was very hungry, nose was still bleeding and my body was shaking. So it started, teacher gave me 5 papers full of exercises to answer. It took me two hours to finish these exercises.I stood up and gave my work to the teacher and left the school. I didn't want to think about it because in my opinion it went very badly. I had written some random thoughts that came to my mind. The olympiad was hard for me and even my teacher Tuisk confirmed, that it was a hard one and it was just the beginning of the schoolyear-students were not used to school yet. When I met my teacher she said that I did very well and got 4th rank including whole secondary school and region of Läänemaa. Tuisk told me that I always underestimate myself, I am something more that I think myself to be. Friend's birthday on 13 December I woke up at 11 am

Kordamine inglise keele eksamiks A 1.1 Read the text and answer the questions below. Dear Mary-Alice, It's been ages since I last wrote to you, isn't it weird? Yes, so it is, but, I do have a certain reason. Do you remember Sir Thom of the Minquettes'? That fine young man with fascinating blue eyes... Oh, my sweet Mary, you will never guess what happened yesterday! It was about seven o'clock in the evening when Lillian called me out for a walk you know I can't say `no' to my little sis. Anyway we went to the forest near the Swan Lake and, believe it or not, got lost! Awful! I was so scared... We walked and walked, not even knowing the direction we were heading to, until we reached a huge mansion. And the garden around it was so extraordinary... That is something you just must see! But neither the trees nor flowers could be as wonderful as the owner himself

A lamb to the slaughter

" He didn't answer, so she bent her head again and went on with her sewing; bet each time he lifted the drink to his lips, she heard the ice cubes clinking against the side of the glass. "Darling," she said. "Would you like me to get you some cheese? I haven't made any supper because it's Thursday." "No," he said. "If you're too tired to eat out," she went on, "it's still not too late. There's plenty of meat and stuff in the freezer, and you can have it right here and not even move out of the chair." Her eyes waited on him for an answer, a smile, a little nod, but he made no sign. "Anyway," she went on, "I'll get you some cheese and crackers first." "I don't want it," he said. She moved uneasily in her chair, the large eyes still watching his face. "But you must eat! I'll fix it anyway, and then you can have it or not, as you like." She stood up and placed her sewing on the table by the lamp. "Sit down," he said. "Just for a minute, sit down."
