Semi formal complaint letter

Dear Mr Smith, I am writing in because of a problem I have with the new neighbour, David, who has moved in downstairs. Unfortunately, his habits seems to be different than mine. The issue is that David is a musician who plays his electric guitar very late night. I understand he is in a band and needs to practice but I think he can not do this in apartment. I work in home, so for me, it is important to have silence so I can concentrate on my work. But when David is playing all the time it is unable to get any of my works done, except when he is out

Just as Micah is set to leave, a suddenly calm Katie insists they remain at the house. Micah, angry at a situation he cannot control, burns the picture found in the attic. Later that night, Katie awakens to once again stare for several hours at Micah while he sleeps. She then goes downstairs into the darkness and begins screaming. Micah wakes up and runs after her, while the camera records what sounds like a struggle downstairs. The screams suddenly stop, Katie returns to the bedroom at 3:15 am from downstairs, holding a knife with blood on her hand. She then sits next to the bed and rocks back and forth in a catatonic state. Around 6:15 am, Micahs alarm rings. At 1:55pm, Katie's friend Amber calls the house, and later arrives at 9:00 pm, discovering Micah's body downstairs

postman was standing there. She was holding a package. Finally my package has been delivered. I greeted him and went looking for my ID card. I ran back to the postman. She was writing down my info while my little brother was trying to talk with me. He was yelling: ,,What is this?" I answered him: ,,It's a package, obviously." My brother started laughing and ran away. Postman asked for a signature and suddenly my phone started ringing. I gave her the signature and crabed the package. I ran downstairs but the caller hanged up already. I started calling back but the phone was busy. Suddenly I heard ringing again. I ran upstairs to pick up the phone but my sister was already speaking with the caller, so I went back downstairs. After my sister finished the call, she told me that the package was for my mother.

You have to sign a six-month contract and the rent is 800 pounds per month. The house is really charming outside. It is a 2-storey white wooden detached house. Downstairs there is a bathroom, living room with an old fireplace and a dining room and a kitchen. Let me know if you like the sound of it. I hope I'll hear from you soon. Love, Mari

Seven days

Seven days It was three o'clock in the morning when the phone rang. I was still sleepy when I answered with a furious tone: ,,What is it? Do you even know what freaking time is it? It's 3 in the morning. Why aren't you sleeping?" Suddenly I heard a voice that told me: ,,Seven days!" and after that just beep beep beep. At first I thought it's just some stupid joke but I got frightened and I couldn't even get any sleep. I creeped downstairs looking after my shoulder from time to time because I had this feeling someone was watching me and when I looked after the window I saw someone standing in the dark alley. That seriously creeped me out! I suddenly remembered that creepy movie called ,,The Ring". In the film the person who watched the film got murdered in seven days and they receieved exactly the same phone call as I did. The whole week, I got barely any sleep. I had been like that for already six days straight

Surprise

There was a name and an address on the other side, which I didn`t recognize. In addition, it seemed a bit weird that the envelope was on the floor, next to the table, but on second thought it could have been there by accident. So now I went upstairs, to my room and sat on the armchair. I sat there for a moment, holding the letter on my lap and looking out the window to let the curiousity grow. Than I prepared to tear it open, but some noise from downstairs interrupted me. I sat still and listened for a minute, it was quiet again. As I laid my eyes on the envelope again the same sound, only louder, interrupted me again. Now I stood up, placed the envelope on the armchair and went down the stairs to look for the source of the noise or something else to explain it. There was nothing wrong and it was perfectly silent. As I stood there looking around me the front door opened. It was my sister coming in

" But the child was too small to give him an answer. "Oh well," sighed the man, "sleep while you can, little one!" "You are back!" a gentle voice surprised him. The soldier turned around and saw princess Eliza, the youngest daughter of the queen, swaying at the stairs and smiling her sunny smile at him. "Your highness!" said youth and wanted to make a deep bow, but a sudden laughter stopped him. "What on earth are you doing?" asked the princess and came downstairs waving with her fan. "Oh!" she shouted then and stopped. She was staring at the baby now, whom was scared by such a sudden voice and started crying. "Could you please be a bit quieter, your highness?" whispered the man to the lady who was widely smiling now. "I'm sorry," she said and carefully she came closer to the child. The soldier hugged it tighter and soon the little one stopped its cry and smiled to the young man. "Oh how adorable!" said the princess in a low voice

Prepositions

Prepositions of movement: 1)We use TO in order to express movement toward a place. They were driving to work together. She's going to the dentist's office this morning. 2)TOWARD and TOWARDS are also helpful prepositions to express movement. These are simply variant spellings of the same word; use whichever sounds better to you. We're moving toward the light. This is a big step towards the project's completion. 3)With the words HOME, DOWNTOWN, UPTOWN, INSIDE, OUTSIDE, DOWNSTAIRS, 3 UPSTAIRS, we use no preposition. Grandma went upstairs Grandpa went home. They both went outside. 4)We use THROUGH to show movement from one side of an enclosed space to the other. For example: The train went through the tunnel. 5)We use ACROSS to show movement from one side of a surface or line to another. For example: She swam across the river. 6)More prepositions of movement: She ran to the door.

She tried again. "Hullo Sam," she said brightly, aloud. The voice sounded peculiar too. "I want some potatoes please, Sam. Yes, and I think a can of peas." That was better. Both the smile and the voice were coming out better now. She rehearsed it several times more. Then she ran downstairs, took her coat, went out the back door, down the garden, into the street. It wasn't six o'clock yet and the lights were still on in the grocery shop. "Hullo Sam," she said brightly, smiling at the man behind the counter. "Why, good evening, Mrs. Maloney. How're you?" "I want some potatoes please, Sam. Yes, and I think a can of peas." The man turned and reached up behind him on the shelf for the peas. Upon returning to Paris, he comes to Jake's office to persuade him to travel to South America with him, offering to pay for the entire trip. He worries that he is not living life to the fullest. Jake responds that only bullfighters live their lives "all the way up." Tired of Cohn pestering him in the office, Jake invites Cohn downstairs to have a drink. Jake knows that once they finish the drink it will be easier to get rid of Cohn. At the bar, Cohn continues to harangue Jake about traveling outside of Paris. He complains that he is tired of Paris and the Latin Quarter. Jake asserts that Cohn's discontent has nothing to do with geography, saying, "You can't get away from yourself by moving from one place to another." After the drink, Jake says he needs to return to the office to work. Cohn

The man said that Oliver was haunting him, and Oliver left as quickly as possible. He prayed earnestly for Rose, and the next night Losberne came to help them. After he examined her, he told them there was little hope for her survival. Oliver prayed harder and spent time in the cemetery watching a funeral. When he returned, he was told that if Rose woke up from the sleep she had gone into, then she would experience a full recovery. Otherwise she would die. The next morning, Dr. Losberne came downstairs with the news that Rose had awakened, and everyone rejoiced the news. Chapter 34: Oliver was overjoyed at the news that she would recover, and was gathering flowers along the road for her sickroom when a post chaise came upon him. The voice of Giles called out to him and asked him of news, and he told him that she would live. A young gentleman then exited the coach and further questioned Oliver. Charlie bought me a truck, can you believe it? I love it. It's old, but really sturdy, which is good, you know, for me. I miss you, too. I'll write again soon, but I'm not going to check my e-mail every five minutes. Relax, breathe. I love you. Bella. I had decided to read Wuthering Heights -- the novel we were currently studying in English -- yet again for the fun of it, and that's what I was doing when Charlie came home. I'd lost track of the time, and I hurried downstairs to take the potatoes out and put the steak in to broil. "Bella?" my father called out when he heard me on the stairs. Who else? I thought to myself. "Hey, Dad, welcome home." "Thanks." He hung up his gun belt and stepped out of his boots as I bustled about the kitchen. As far as I was aware, he'd never shot the gun on the job. But he kept it ready. When I came here as a child, he would always remove the bullets as soon as he walked in the door. In the play ,,strange interlude" there is no outward action what so ever, the most important action takes place in characters mind. We can come to conclusion that we can almost listen to the characters thinking." Long days journey into night" about responsibility and love-hate relationship within the family. Action takes place in a single day. The father and the son have a bitter discussion about the past, while waiting for the drug addict mmother to come downstairs. When night comes we see that it isnt just the late hours of the day but the night of their souls. In 1936 O'Neill was rewarded Nobel Prize for literature. Between the two world wars.
