Something out of nothing

Something out of nothing. Why do people enjoy making something out of nothing? I believe that it gives us great pleasure to know, that we've made something new and interesting just because we're humans. We like to feel big and important, it's just our nature and we can't help it. For example, many people believe in God. They believe God is always watching over them, so they have to behave, because noone wants to be on the bad side in the eyes of God. And ofcourse everyone wants to go to heaven, so you can't really get on God's nerves, or he'll just send you to hell. The way I see it, God makes all

Does the Higgs Field do something?

Does the Higgs Field do something? Dmitri Martila ([email protected]) Latter affiliation: Tartu University (Dated: September 16, 2016) Abstract Is studied the possibility to replace the Dark Matter and the Dark Energy with the single Higgs Field (or fields). The study in close direction was made in arXiv:1603.06242, and in “The Higgs Boson May Disintegrate into Dark Matter” (the Google News). Just because the physics is physical, then the Higgs Field do exist, do exist throughout the spacetime, and even acts on curvature of the spacetime even in the cosmic void (the places without the baryonic matter). In case of the places with the baryonic matter the Higgs Field emits the Higgs Boson to give the baryonic matter the right amount of mass: therefore the density of the Higgs Fie...

There is something distinctive about every generation

There is something distinctive about every generation Most of the people in general are all the same. Their values, thoughts, realtions and things like that. But every generation has some differences in them, every generation has something distinctive. Having about four generations living together is something very important, but in these days we tend to forget that. Every generation has something to teach the others, all of them have different experiences, conceptions and ways they like to solve problems. For example the ways people acted fifty years ago may not fit into today's world, but then there are the grandchildren's generation that can show and teach elderly how it is acceptable to do something. And then there are older generations that can remind youngers why it is important to appreciate family relations, remember your relatives and what are real values in life, because

We all have felt good about donating something.

Mait Rõõmus Mr. Savala English 4 26 September 2013 Prompt #5 We all have felt good about donating something. It gives us inner peace, satisfaction, and an overall benevolent feeling. Donating money, clothes or "yourself" by volunteering does not require us to do the impossible we do that which is quite possible. A few weeks ago, I went through my friend's wallet and found an organ donor card. It really made me think. Would I be willing to donate an organ to help someone or to receive an organ from someone I do not know if I needed it? This whole idea makes me stop and think.

If you have created something, then try to be open minded

If you have created something, then try to be open minded Teacher: O'Mahony V.PG 11A 09.03.2009 This written essay here is talking about my thoughts and facts of life, what is around us. First I thought that why is always easier to create something but to destroy is much harder. Exactly there have been so many wars in history. Everybody wanted to own a lot of countries and others had to fight for their created country. Also they started to teach young people to kill and protect their country with killing enemies. Also government tried to keep a low profile, if there were some wars in state. These are my thoughts of creating and keeping something. In the old times were many wars. Some states predominated over other weaker

To Room Nineteen

I don’t mean peace in the world or peace in home, I mean peace in ourselves, in our soul and heart. For some time I have been a bit confused because I am, right now, living on my dream and sometimes it feels like I can’t have these big, often unreal dreams I used to have. “When you have everything you’ve ever wished for, have ever wanted and planned for, what’s there more to have and look forward to then?” This book made me believe again that there is always something missing, something to do or something where to develop. I thought a lot what I should write in this paragraph, namely this is for the things I didn’t like. I enjoyed this book. Doris Lessing truly could write. The sentences were written so well, I felt like I was reading a poem. One and the only thing I did not like was that Susan gave up. She thought suicide is the only way but there is always something to do more. In my opinion Susan gave up too easily

What is addiction

What is addiction? Addiction is being adicted to something and it can be anything. Mostly, when people hear word addiction, they think about drugs, sigarets and alcohol but it can be a person, some food or work. People fall in addiction in my opinion because they get used to something or someone and then they dont want to let go anymore. After a while they start to think that they cant live without it, he or she. Firstly i would like to talk about drug addiction. Mostly people start doing drugs when their lives get realy hard and they think theres nothing left anymore to live for or thanks to bad compani. Firstly its couple of times and then they cant be happy without them and finaly its hard to be normal without doing drugs. And thats fysical addiction.

Dear Hanna, Hi! How are you? I would love to see you, we should go out someday. Anyway, i've finally got some time to write a letter and tell you something about my holiday. It was amazing, I think you would love it too! I went to Capo Verde and we stayed in a lovely hotel. It had everything you needed restorants, shops, tennis coarts, sea etc. The rooms were also beautiful: big bathrooms and every bedroom had a balcony and huge bed. We tooked a road trip all over the island. We saw Blue eye, sharks and the saline. The best thing of these were the sharks, it was scary but also amazing.

Essee "A hobby - waste of time?"

A hobby waste of time? Essay Many people think that hobbies are waste of time and waste of money. A lot of people have their own hobby some of them like it and some of them don't like their hobby. I think if you don't like your hobby, then it's a waste of time. In addition, hobbies can be very different- some people make music, some people do sports, some are collecting marks or something. In my opinion there are some hobbies what are totally waste of time. Like playing video games. They steal you free time and don't give you anything, maybe only bad eyesight. Hobbies like basketball, football, running are very good, it gives you something good body or gives strenght to live, work for something. To sum up, i think that hobby is not waste of time if it is more like a lifestyle, but surely, there are some hobbies what are totally waste of time, but it is only my opinion.

Turning again toward childish treble, pipes And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all, That ends this strange eventful history, Is second childishness and mere oblivion, Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything. (W. Shakespeare) There lie more answers beneath these poetical phrases than one could ever give when describing a textbook just like the actors, we seek for knowledge without really finding it until we've finished the play. Every written piece of paper is something precious it contains information that can either make our day or totally ruin the mood; that's the secret of all books. They have the power to change the world up-side down. The English textbook given to us this year is something we must carefully treasure after all, there are going to be more people next year either to praise or suffer from it. But not the emotions count at the moment, the future does we must all learn from this wonderful book

The body as art.

The body as art. There are so many ways that you can use your body, how you can make a art with that. They call dancing an art, because it describes how some of us are feeling- using body as an art. There is also a way to put actual art on your body, like tattoos. After I turned 13 I've always wanted a tattoo and few weeks ago I finally got it. Tattoo is something amazing, something totally different. You put something on your body something unnatural but what describes you 100 % , means something to you a lot. Of course before I even planned to get a tattoo I found out as much information as I could. While I was doing that I well even more in love with tattoos. Before I got my tattoo I went to see how is it actually done in real life and again it made me want it even more. Few weeks later I got it, at first I was kind of afraid of the pain but it wasn't as bad as I imaged. I am so happy with the result and totally planning to have another one soon.

The value of things VS the price of things

The value of things VS the price of things A value can be much more than simple numbers, a value can show what memories, connections and contact people have with a thing. But what exactly is a thing? Well a thing is something lifeless, an item for a certain purpose, it’s something for certain use. When we take a look at the word named „price“, what does it mean? A price usually is seen as a number, as how much something costs. Things can be „overpriced“, but never „overvalued“. An item of high value could have no price, but at the same time an high priced item, could have no value. It’s this way because people see differently, people have different memories and emotions to remember. But as in this world today, price matters. People can’t afford anything, price means something as well, it can show how wealthy you are, how much someone can mean to you. Price is just a

Idealization of nature in Romantic poetry

Idealization of Nature in Romantic Poetry One of the main characteristics of romanticism in general is the constant praising of nature and connecting it with almost everything. As the second half of the 18 th century was the time of the industrial revolution, urbanization and mankind's distancing from nature in every way, it is not surprising that as a result it became more and more important to and valued by people it had suddenly become something remote and far from everyday life, somewhat a luxury. The utmost way this luxury manifests in romantic poetry is nature's ability to help whoever takes the time to value its divinity get in touch with themselves and get away from everything that might influence their way of acting. Nature provides the ideal atmosphere and surroundings to do this in the opinion of romantic poets, it is the very best place to come to when in need of solitude or an answer to personal or social conflicts

To a Skylark

For the bird, singing is effortless and comes out naturally. Still the creation is harmonic and spreads joy. The poem starts with Shelly calling the bird a "blithe spirit" and expressing his admiration of how the song comes from the bird's heart without any effort. "Bird thou never wert-/ That from heaven or near it" gives the mental image that Shelly doesn't actually see the bird but only hears it. Thus the bird doesn't exist for him as a real thing but rather as something supernatural, like a ghost sending its melody while staying unseen. Then Shelly goes on comparing the Skylark to many various things like a cloud of fire, a star of heaven, a high-born maiden, a glow-worm, a rose etc. All this to give forth his idea of the lark as something unreachable, unseen but heard, royal, sweet and sensitive. The bird is something very mystical because nobody really knows what it feels or tells with its songs.

Art and aesthetics essay

10.oktoober 2011 Art versus Nonsense What is beauty ? Why do we find certain things beautiful ? Beauty is something that everyone is familiar with. It can't just be defined as something that may look good. It can be a feeling, a piece of art, music, or words. Anything can be beautiful depending on the person, beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder. The music of songbirds is not generally considered art to us, but to birds it may be. The study of beauty is something not easily perfected because there is no absolute and true single beautiful thing in the world. Ideas of what is beautiful and what isn't change quickly, one day

Are mistakes necessary for discovery and progress?

Are mistakes necessary for discovery and progress? It is often questioned whether making mistakes help people to progress and make discoveries. I personally think that there is no need to make mistakes in order to develop themselves, but it is often an efficient way of finding out something new which can help people to make progress on whatever that is worked on. It is often the mistake that tell us what is wrong or what needs to be corrected. Through correcting any mistakes that are made and learning from those errors, deffinitely help to make progress. Homework that teachers give to students are a good example, like submitting something to your teacher and getting it back later with corrections. By carefully analyzing

The new information about the subject comes at the end of the sentence. When the subject is the person or thing doing the action, then we use an active verb: Bell invented the telephone. When the subject is not doing the action, but something is happening or being done to it, or the action is directed at it, then we use a passive verb. The telephone was invented by Bell. NB! The object of an active sentence becomes the subject of a passive sentence. The doer of the action is indicated by a by phrase. When the doer of the action is not important, the ’by phrase’ is omitted: Active: Someone locks the office every evening. Passive: The office is locked every evening. Tenses in the Passive Voice

Some people say that every body should do voluntary work for

Some people say that every body should do voluntary work for environment Nowadays when most of the people live in city environment don't see what that makes to the nature. Big city's wastes lot of water and product a lot garbage all so waste air with fumes. It would be great when people who take something from the environment give something back to it. This is easy when just start doing something. If nobody doesn't drop junk on the ground then that's a good thing to. Also should take part on different trees planting and junk cleaning events. I guess that government and local authorities should make more and more with that kind of purpose events. At this evolution period can people buy also cars witch waist less environment. When going to tank a car then should take with less toxic fuel. What less we use electricity helps on saving environment

have to understand that success means various things for different persons. The main question is what makes a human being happy? In my opinion, as a person claims that he is happy, then we can firmly say that this person is successful in life because he feels content with his life. Contentedness and happiness are the key factors in determing how succesful someone is. It is often said that for a small town inhabitant, it is a lot harder to achieve something in life. I totally disagree with this statement. There are just other values in a town with a small population density. Values concerning family life are coming more forth, career and such kind of personal ambitions are kept in the backround. Also it is often mentioned that making a successful career in a small town is largely impossible, because of the lack of different resources and opportunities. By these it is commonly ment a uncompetitive education and few opportunities to develop

The school holiday

The school holiday – time for new challenges and adventures Changes and challenges can come in many forms. An holiday is the perfect place to try something new, to push yourself to a new limit and realise your dreams. You can do something that you've never tried before, like going to new places or take part of the adventure games. You can go to the gym or run every day 5 km. I like to go hiking in the woods or just take a daytrip to a city where I have never been before. The other possibility is to go for a mental challenge, like learning new language, or reading an interesting book. It is good challenge to take a science or philosophy book, something that is not so easy to read so you can be proud of yourself after finishing it

"The Printed Word will Never Die" essee

People have used to aquire new knowledge and experience for a very long time which makes books the oldest source of new knowledge. For some youth, reading is a very hard thing to do, some just cannot pick up a book and start reading, most would rather hang out with friends or play computergames. Furthermore, some youth also prefer watching movies to reading, because a film is a lot easier to follow, reading a book is sometimes exhausting and tiring. But all that said, there is something about books, if a book is truly interesting, then something just forces you to read it, you read a page and you just have to know what comes next, what is going to happen, how will the story end. Page after page after page, until eventually without notice, you have finished the book. I think that reading can be a very enjoyable activity, but some people just do not want to read, there can be many different reasons why they

Conditions of the productive animals in farms.

In many of these farms there were dead hens and the corpses were decayed. It is obvious that this is a huge health risk for all the other animals in the farm. In Finland this survey was recorded with digital cameras. The videos and pictures were published and soon there were responses that these materials are fake or filmed elsewhere. Everyone who sees those pictures and videos realises that they are real and the problem is so serious that something must be embarked upon at once. The pictures that are taken at the Põima farm prove that the problem is also huge in Estonia. One possible way to show people how serious the problem is, is to distribute those materials. Often just talking about something serious does not create the image to the people and they need proof to realise the deepness of it. Even more, recently WSPA (World Society for the Protection of Animals) published an

Motivatsiooni kirjand

Always keep moving fowards no matter what happens in life! There is never such thing as “I can’t move on, I am hurt, I am feeling depressed”, there just isn’t. Motivation isn’t something what just comes by a random chance. It is something what needs to be understood and observed with feelings and emotions. Motivation comes from the past incidents what I have had and have been through with. I know what I have been thorugh with and how hard the times can get in life but then I can’t just give up my life, I can’t surrender my body to drugs or alcohol in order to forget or ignore the problems. I have to have another view to life. A view that is full of positive energy, good vibes, happy feelings and fantastic emotions.
