Internet (inglise keeles)

The Internet is the latest in a series of technological breakthroughs in interpersonal communication, following the telegraph, telephone, radio, and television. The evidence suggests that the Internet has blended into the rhythms of every day life: the Internet is used at work, in schools, in universities, and hospitals etc. It is used for a wide variety of purposes, such as surfing for information, working, playing online games, and just chatting. The fact that people are not interacting in visible public spaces does not mean that they are in isolation. It is just sometimes quicker and easier way to find needed information and for some people who simply doesn't have time to meet and have a chat in a cafe or

Big data in cloud

The only thing stopping them right now is keeping it legal, as there is no real protection against hackers, who can cause a malfunction to happen. Resulting in a drone falling and potentially harming an innocent bystander.[16] Furthermore, Tesla has recently released a new car with an autopilot feature [17]. They also announced a car with full self-driving capabilities is plausible in a not so distant future. And it is all possible due to the fact that big data is easily accessed through the internet connection for updates to be carried out. In big data, the software packages provide a rich set of tools and options where an individual could map the entire data landscape across the company, thus allowing the individual to analyze the threats faced internally [18]. Making big data somewhat secure as in whole and also allowing different algorithms to function. In fact, nowadays, every bigger company, who has to deal with massive amounts of users, has

Means of communication

Introduction A few centuries ago people knew only a few kinds of communication. They could speak to each other, they could send their message from one place to another by smoke signals, they used mail. Later on, they also had some newspapers. The first expansion of media was when the radio and television were invented. The second and the biggest boom started in 1960s when the first communication satellite was launched into orbit. There are 4 main media: Newspapers, TV, Radio and the Internet. Today's people take this as an ordinary thing and we don't realise that we nearly can't live without it. Media are very important for us. They give us big amount of information, so big that we can't remember all that things. They help us to understand things and if you have lots of information you are able to make your own decisions. This is connected with education and media are very good teachers. They highly influence us. They can help other people making charities..

A Computer in my life

I have put them all in named folders. I don't like desktop, where all the files are mixed up. I made my information easy to access. I also like to download and store estonian music, because it's hard to find it on the net or from home, and if I have it all in my computer, I can always use it. Also, when I hear about a good movie, I download high definiton copy of it and store it to my movie folder, to be watched some day. Right now, I have about 100 movies there. I like to work on the Internet and look up for information and watch educating videos on YouTube. I like instant messaging, but I don't like communicating by e-mail. I don't trust online shopping. I have never shopped online, and probably won't do it in future. I'm against ACTA, SOPA and PIPA because it would change the use of computers and Internet. Internet would go under control and there would be a small group of people controlling the information that is moving there. That would make people and companies who

Essay Tallinn 2013 The rapid development of computer technologies and internet has been one of the main factors affecting our everyday life over the last decades. They have made our life more efficient, comfortable and also changed the way we communicate and consume media. Digitalization has also brought us many new platforms and more possibilities for media to reach even more people. The internet is allowing anyone to share information instantly to all over the world. It might be thought that with all these new developments, problems like controlling of the media and deceiving people are gone, but it seems that things are not that clear.

Using Blogs as a Platform in the TEFL

have become commonplace. Learners of all ages have increased access to technology such as the World Wide Web, which provides a seemingly limitless amount of information. New technologies such as Mp3, podcasting, and social networking are booming. In contrast to more traditional environments, technology offers greater opportunities for interactivity and learner control. There are more educators and language teachers using the Internet in language teaching as well. Many computer applications, especially asynchronous computer-mediated communication such as email and electronic bulletin boards, promote interactive learning. With the booming growth of technology, blogs have become another learning platform for language teaching. Accordingly, these in turn have provided both teachers and learners with an alternative avenue, unlike the traditional face-to-face meetings or discussions, to foster their personal
