Eclipse,Chapter Fifteen – Wager, kokkuvõte

Chapter Fifteen Wager Jacob waits for Bella to respond to his declaration of love, but she can't think of anything to say. She stutters and tries to leave, but Jacob pulls her back attempting to explain that he knows how she's feeling. He asks her point blank if she wants him to go away and never see her again. Bella admits that she wouldn't want that. She says she misses Jacob when he's not around, but only when he's happy. She goes on to say it's because he's like family, and that she only loves him... and is not in love with him. Jacob is pleased enough by this, and says he'll "stick around." Bella feels uncomfortable, especially when Jacob affectionately touches and caresses her. She asks him to behave himself, but Jacob replies that she'll have to take him or leave him the way he is, since he will not change his behavior claiming Edward is no longer her whole life. He wants Bella to understand that Edward isn't her only choice....

Solutions & alternatives

There are many choices. You can travel north to see the midnight sun... You can take the night train to Copenhagen... You can take the ferry east to Finland or take the seven hour train journey across the country to Gothenburg. As for the young woman, she may have a lot in common with the old man; Alternatively, she may be interested in his money. Well, when they reach the age of fifteen, they reject the songs of their childhood. Instead, they are into pop or rock songs which will be forgotten within weeks. You see, the alternative is to buy food on the world market. We all know that when demand rises, so does the price.

Advantages and disadvantages of learning in groups

Advantages and disadvantages of learning in groups There are three 10th grades in our school at the moment and the students are shared into seven groups. The groups have different teachers. At first I thought that the groups are made by educational success but this is not true. There are fifteen stundents in my group and most of them are from 10c. Only 4 girls are from 10a and from 10b there are no students in my group. In my opinion it is a great chance to make friends with everybody who graduates the sameyear with me and one of the most important advantages is fellow feeling. I think it is better if the groups are made by educational success. There are weakers and strongers in one group. If the teacher deals only with the strongers,

Even college students need a balanced diet of protein, vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates and fats. Eat a variety of vegetables and moderate amounts of protein. Limit fats to the healthier choices, such as olive oil and nuts. for decades, vending machines have been the bane of many college students. They also carry the responsibility for the unhealthy "freshman fifteen," referring to the number of pounds college students often put on their first year at college. If you keep healthy snacks, such as raw veggies, yogurt and fresh fruit in your room, you may not have the urge to snack on chips and candy bars. Other healthy snacks that are easy to keep in your room are popcorn, pretzels, low-fat string cheese, raisins, trail mix, applesauce and granola bars. So basically students eating habits began evolving at home, when they are young.

Water creates energy

The world uses energy from many different sources, such as: hydroelectric power, nuclear power plants, solar energy, and wind generated power. There are positive and negative aspects of each source, but which source of energy is best? My opinion is that the best source of energy is water and I'll bring up some facts why do I think so. Hydroelectric power is currently the world's largest renewable source of electricity. It accounts for six percent of the worldwide energy supply or about fifteen percent of the world's electricity. Water has been found to be a major source of energy. Water power is utilized at present mainly as hydro-electricity. It is produced from moving water and from falls with the help of turbines and dynamos. Hydro-electricity has acquired great significance as a source of energy in the country in the present times and is being put to different uses. The following are the advantages of hydro- electricity in comparison with coal, oil and gas:

The Tower of London

After his coronation on Christmas Day, 1066, William hastily ordered the erection of a wooden fortress between the Thames and the ancient Roman wall which then surrounded London. William began the building of what is now termed as the White Tower ten years later. A rectangular stone keep of Caen stone, designed as an impregnable fortress and as an impressive and awesome demonstration of his power to the Londoners. With ramparts which were fifteen feet thick at the base and walls soaring ninety feet high, the dominating shadow of the Tower loomed forebodingly over the huddled wooden buildings of medieval London, a visible expression of Norman power. The White Tower consisted of three storeys and contains the austere Norman Chapel of St. John, which remains one of the best preserved examples of a Norman chapel in England. The present castle, now covering eighteen acres evolved around the Conqueror's keep, being added to by

House of my dreams

I have my own room, and it is very cool, because it is like my own flat. I have all my things in there, such things like: a computer, books, my big bed, a guitar and diplomas. There, in my room, is all my life, if you want to know something about me, all you need is to visit my room. We live on the ground floor, and because of that, we do not get a lot of sun in the flat. Our city is not so big, but we live far from the center, our house is in the north-east of the city- it is about fifteen minutes by bus. But it is not so bad, in big cities you need fifty minutes! That’s why I love my city. My dream house should be located outside the city, where I can find true peace and happiness. I dream to live in a private house somewhere in the village. I will have a two-storey white house. Around the house there will be a lot of big trees and my own little lake. There, I will breed fish and I’m going to catch it with my son in summer and play hockey in winter

Westminster Today

one of the largest medieval halls. It was part of the Westminster Palace, which was destroyed by a fire in 1834. The Houses of Parliament that we see today were rebuilt in the 19th century after the fire. The Big Ben clock tower is the largest four-sided ringing clock in the world and it is also one of the London's most famous symbols. Some think that Big Ben is the name of the clock on the tower, but actually it is the name of the big 13-ton bell that rings every fifteen minutes. The most historic religious building in Britain is Westminster Abbey, a beautiful church across the street from the Houses of Parliament. It was begun between 1042 and 1065 when the English king Edward the Confessor built a church on the site where the abbey now stands. In 1245, King Henry III began work on the main part of what is now Westminster Abbey. Poets' Corner in the Abbey is a place where Britain's greatest writers are either buried or remembered with a memorial plaque

An Essay

I think starting with school and competition, rivalry, witch always associates with schooling, too young, shortens the childhood and may affect negatively self-esteem, success and coping in the future. Children´s job is to play, it develops child the best, so I think anyone shouldn't forbit humans inherent needs. Children don´t have to become too fast to an adult. The high school in Great Britain starts at age eleven, but in Estonia at about age fifteen. Biggest difference is that in Great Britain they prepare young people to get a job or continue studing, but in Estonia this is only first step of educational life. After primary school in Estonia you have two ways to walk: high school or industrial school, where they get profession. Youngsters in United States of America and Great Britain have easier to make choice choosing a profession, because there they start to prepare people to get a job very early. High

George Orwell - Road to Wigan Pier

Only 1/3 mines have baths for miners. In home the miner has to boil water and wash himself in a small basin. The houses in industrial towns are in bad shape, most of them are about to fall down, but people still live in these because there is nowhere else to live. There is mass unemployment in towns like these. Most likely every third person is living on the dole and there is no chance of getting work. A family gets about twenty-five to thirty shillings per week, which fifteen shillings go for food, including fuel for cooking. The second part of the book Orwell talks about his principles and the idea of socialism. He talks about how different classes in England get along with one another. It is more than natural that the higher classes reject the lower classes. He was taught the same principles when he was just a child. He comments upon how middle-class communists and socialists often speak against their own class. He talks

deeply in debt. His New Haven cotton gin factory had burned to the ground, and litigation sapped his remaining resources. The French Revolution had ignited new conflicts between Great Britain, France, and the United States. The new American government, realizing the need to prepare for war, began to rearm. The War Department issued contracts for the manufacture of 10,000 muskets. Whitney, who had never made a gun in his life, obtained a contract in January, 1798 to deliver ten to fifteen thousand muskets in 1800. Ten months later, Treasury Secretary Wolcott sent him a "foreign pamphlet on arms manufacturing techniques," possibly one of Honoré Blanc's reports, after which Whitney first began to talk about interchangeability. After spending most of 1799-1801 in cotton gin litigation, Whitney began promoting the idea of interchangeable parts, and even arranged a public demonstration of the concept in order to gain time
