The earliest known recording of a jazzflute being used as solo instrument, was by Cuban clarnetist Alberto Socarras, recording "Shooting the Pistol" with Clarence Williams band and setting a milestone for future jazzflutist. While acknowleding the contribution to the early pioneers, jazz historians credit saxophonist Wayman Carver as being the first true jazz flutist, whilst recording extensively in the 30s. Kahekümnenda sajandi algus ei toonud jalatsimoodi kuigi palju uut. Daamid kandsid jätkuvalt pikki kleite mistõttu polnud jalanõud eksponeeritud. Möödunud sajandilõpu mudelid jäid populaarseteks kuni Esimese maailmasõjani. Valikuvõimalusi rikastavad moodsad materjalid. Daamide kõrged saapad nööbitavad või nööritavad on laialt levinud. Must on moevärv (eriti noorte seas), kuigi ka tagasihoidlikud neutraalsed toonid hakkavad pead tõstma.

Creoles from these two nations emigrated to other African countries, such as Equatorial Guinea, where they were known as Krios; or Nigeria, where they were known as Saros. Some scholars report that a new wave of Krio immigrant descendants of freed slaves of Sierra Leone and Liberia are known as Fernandinos (see Fernando Po).An additional sub-group of African descent from the Americans in Equatorial Guinea were descendants of native Bubi and freed Cuban slaves brought to the islands during the 1800s. People of this specific ancestry were part of the emancipado population which included other distinct groups assimilated into the local colonial society. Brazil In Brazil, the word crioulo came to mean "dark skinned person", that is, a person of mostly African ancestry. In the Colony it was common to refer to a slave born in Brazil as a crioulo and to a slave from Africa as an "African". Thus crioulo came to refer to slaves born and raised in

His intuition was confirmed when a long missive appeared, listing ships being loaded in Havana harbor and discussing an airfield being constructed. The examiners were alerted to watch for similar handwriting. The next letter turned up a few days later. Censorship continued picking out these letters, which recited details of merchant shipping in Cuban waters and of the enlargement of the U.S. Navy's base at Guantanamo Bay, until the writer's real Havana address showed up in secret ink. Letters posted to this address were watched, and on September 5, 1942, after sufficient evidence had been amassed, police arrested "R. Castillo," who proved to be Heinz August Luning. He had been sent to Havana from Germany in September, 1941, and of the 48 letters he had sent to Europe, the Bermuda censors had intercepted all but five. On November 9,
