The survey which interviewed over 1000 The National Art Gallery guests was conducted by British Government. It found that guests are not flattered to buy art. Expensive Two out of five thought that it is nonsense to buy a painting. They thought that they can see some art in National Gallery if they want. Half of guests thought that they might buy some paintings if they had some spare money to spend. Unfortunately 90 per cent of them told that they never had any free money. Collectors So one out of ten guests told that they buy paintings frequently. But most of them were actually collectors and only two guests said that they collected art from young painters. 10 visitors admitted that they bought art just to decorate their home and they actually did not care what kind of painting they were. Proof All in all, researchers were not much surprised by the findings. The survey just showed and confirmed how much our young talented English artists are depending

additional activities. We certainly add these to the programme of an event next year. Surprisingly, but just that raised the vast of money. The total raised exceeded the income of the last year. Proposals In the light of this year`s experience, I would like to make some proposals for a similar event next year. The more different activities we have there, the better it is. My recommendations are as follows: sponsored runs, street parties, providing collectors with special badges etc. I hope we helped all disadvantaged children in Britain this year.

Navajo Artwork

Rug weaving is another traditional Navajo art form. Navajo women believe the art of weaving was taught by Spider Woman, who constructed a loom according to directions given by the Holy People. Anthropologists speculate Navajos learned to weave from Pueblo people by 1650. Navajo rugs and weavings have gone through an evolution, the earlier weavings were influenced by legends and represented meaningful events in their lives. The Navajo rugs are in demand by the many tourists and collectors who visit the reservation each year. Two predominant colors in the Navajo weaving designs are indigo blue and red. Other colors often used are greys, shades of browns, yellows and golds. Navajo rugs are one of the most popular crafts, not only for a floor rug but to hang as a wall tapestry. Silversmithing Silversmithing is an important art form among Navajo. Silversmithing dates back to the 1800s when Navajo artists began melting silver coins to make jewelry.

Prior to knowing sugar, our ancestors used honey and other sweet ingredients which were used as sweeteners. We know all that thanks to Mediterranean antique culture writings and bareljeefs . Oldest known sweetener is honey. In Arãna caves there are 12000 years old murals where are depicted woman honey collectors. As nowadays, womans used honey to make food, heal wounds and to make mead. At first our ancestors used wild bee's honey which was collected from their nests. Later, people started to keep bees in hives, as is the case today. Although the sugar arrived in Europe around 1100th year, it reached a wide use until 16th century

public or general interest. They emphasized that the scope of this rule covers those persons hwo are not public figures and hwo are dragged into an undesirable publicity. Therefore there is a value in preventing publication not only in the right to publicate. But, the right to privacy does not apply when the court of justice is concerned ofcourse. So in my opinion, the center of privacy issues is moved from greedy jornalists, mentioned in article from year 1890, to Google and other data collectors alike. If you want complete privacy, its easy, go to live in the Moon! Our pirvacy is currently under attack, but we have to realise that privacy means trust in people or at least trust in our laws. Humans like to be comfortable, that everithing is only a click away but then we have to have a little faith. If I say faith I do not mean, disregard all privacy risks and do not protect your network sites. Be aware, that there are always people out there who will do

Total station problems

Total stations may be used to work from the control networks for boundary surveys, construction stake out and for obtaining topographic data. 5. What are the functions of the microprocessor in the total station? - The microprocessor instantaneously computes horizontal and vertical components of slope distances as well as elevations and coordinates of sighted points. It is also possible to store these values in the microprocessor or transfer them to external data collectors. The angles and distances measured with a total station are entered into the built-in microprocessor. It converts the measured slope distances to horizontal and vertical components (or elevation differences). If the elevation of the instrument center and the h.i. of the reflector are entered into the instrument, the elevation of the sighted point is computed taking into account earth’s curvature and atmospheric refraction.

The United States of America

For Americans, democracy means more than majority rule. It also means minority rights. The powers of the Federal Government are divided. The Congress writes the laws. The President carries out the laws and policies of the Government. The Supreme Court decides whether the laws themselves are legal or illegal. In the Federation, the citizens elect most of the Federal leaders as well as the State leaders. The Federal Government carries out its decisions directly, using its own tax collectors and courts. The States are supposed to control education, police and internal regulations. All Americans are citizens both of the United States and of a single State. They vote in elections for both levels of government and they have to pay taxes to both levels of government. The American system of federation was imitated too, especially in English- speaking nations like Canada and Australia. Climate The climate of the U.S.A. differs greatly from one part of the country to another

Jean Renoir

Of all the impressionists, Renoir most thoroughly adapted the new style to the great tradition of figure painting. Although the impressionist exhibitions were the targets of much public scorn during the 1870s, Renoir's popularity gradually increased during this time. He became a friend of Caillebotte, one of the first supporters of the impressionists, and he was also backed by several art dealers and collectors. The artist's connection with these individuals is documented by a number of handsome portraits, for instance, Madame Charpentier and Her Children (1878). In the 1870s Renoir also produced some of his most celebrated impressionist scenes, including the Swing and the Moulin de la Galette (both 1876). These works show men and women together, openly and casually enjoying a society bathed in warm sunlight. Figures blend softly into one another and into their surrounding space

Scotland

Flora of Scotland ! The flora of Scotland is an assemblage of native plant species including over 1,600 vascular plants, more than 1,500 lichens and nearly 1,000 bryophytes. The total number of vascular species is low by world standard but lichens and bryophytes are abundant and the latter form a population of global importance. Various populations of rare fern exist, although the impact of 19th century collectors threatened the existence of several species. The flora is generally typical of the north west European part of the Palearctic ecozone and prominent features of the Scottish flora include boreal Caledonian forest (much reduced from its natural extent), heather moorland and coastal machair. In addition to the native varieties of vascular plants there are numerous nonnative introductions, now believed to make up some 43% of the species in the country.

Energy - põhjalik referaat energiast

Solar energy can be converted to electricity in two ways: 27 · Photovoltaic (PV devices) or "solar cells" change sunlight directly into electricity. PV systems are often used in remote locations that are not connected to the electric grid. They are also used to power watches, calculators, and lighted road signs. · Solar Power Plants - indirectly generate electricity when the heat from solar thermal collectors is used to heat a fluid which produces steam that is used to power generator. Out of the 15 known solar electric generating units operating in the United States at the end of 2006, 10 of these are in California, and 5 in Arizona. No statistics are being collected on solar plants that produce less than 1 megawatt of electricity, so there may be smaller solar plants in a number of other states. The major disadvantages of solar energy are:

both sensors are in the correct (safe) state. Multiple Sensors In some systems, it is possible to control multiple sensors with a single ADC or digital input. In Figure 3.10, four optical sensors use one input on the microprocessor. Each sensor LED is connected to a separate output. This can be a port output bit on the microprocessor or a separate register. Figure 3.10 shows an 8-bit register, with 4 bits used. All of the phototransistor emit- ters are grounded, and the collectors are tied together, with a common pullup resistor. To use this circuit, the LED for each optical sensor is turned on one at a time, then the common input is read (if an ADC is used, a conversion is per- formed and the result is read). After each read, the LED is turned off and the next LED is turned on. This approach has some restrictions: • The LEDs must be left on long enough for the phototransistor to settle before the input is read.
