People can be upset, sad or angry and say something they think is true, but later on regret it. These situations can be avoided by telling little lies. On the other hand, lies can hurt and make people feel betrayed. Noone wants to find out that they have been left out of something or mislead. Often lies are told to spare someones feelings, but in the end it is the lie itself and broken trust that hurts more than the initial deed. Therefore there can not be an universal answer. Lies are definitely an avoidable part of everyones lives and can make everything better, but also worse. It depends on whether lies are used to cover up problems or to make someone feel better.
Children especially, who have a favourite band or artist, want to support them or show other friends that they have a material piece from the band. More or less, they are supporting the artists by purchasing their merch. In contrast, though, the people who do listen and do not support them, will not be making any profit from that. And that might lead to the band going into debt, in the worst scenario. In addition, you might be making them feel betrayed by downloading their music. To sum up, I feel that pirating music is not the biggest problem out there right now and artists already making enough money from concerts and merch. Zuckerberg is shown as a bastard and Savarin with a broken heart and betrayed by his best friend. In the reality, Savarin did his own mistakes which lead to the consequences and also it is not fair to Zuckerberg, that many people now think that the founder of our favorite website is an arrogant, self- centered fool.
