Benefits of the EU

Smaller countries like Estonia and Latvia now can also get a word in world affairs, they are heard. Another advantage of the EU is that the EU has a strong common currency Euro. It makes travelling easier and also cheaper, because you can go on holiday and not have to worry about exchange money, therefore avoid high exchange charges. There is also peace amongst nations. The EU has managed to avoid conflicts and war and it makes smaller countries feel safe. The EU was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2012. One big benefit of the EU is single market and its great success. Single market allows goods to move to the area where they are most valued, and that ensures lower prices and wider choice of services.

core constitutional document. In this sense, it is said not to have a written constitution, but much of the British constitution is embodied in written documents, within statues, court judgments and treaties. So in my opinion that's a stupid system. Because if you watch other countries how much do they pay for compensation claims then it's nothing. Though in other countries there are huge sums what civilians get from companies. A former female police officer was awarded an estimated £1,000,000 in a package, after complaining of bullying and sexual and racial harassment. For instance I think it's absolutely ridiculous to get a million for that. I think many people have suffered much more and would deserve much more. But that all concludes in people's ego. It's the side that people get greedy. At that moment lawyers step into play. They have helped create a world in which dissatisfaction leads to blame. Most victims of legal harassment will settle with money

Since he wrote with his left hand, it was probably easier for him to write from right to left. Leonardo loved animals and it's documented in his notebooks. He even questioned the morality of eating animals when it was not necessary for health. These statements from his notebook have led to the widely held view that he was a vegetarian.

poems, including Mandalay (1890), Gunga Din (1890), and If-- (1910).He is regarded as a major "innovator in the art of the short story"; his children's books are enduring classics of children's literature; and his best works speak to a versatile and luminous narrative gift. Kipling was one of the most popular writers in English, in both prose and verse, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. In 1907, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature, making him the first English language writer to receive the prize. Among other honours, he was sounded out for the British Poet Laureateship and on several occasions for a knighthood, all of which he declined. Later in life Kipling came to be recognized as a "prophet of British imperialism." Many saw prejudice and militarism in his works, and the resulting controversy about him continued for much of the 20th century

Subsequently, the Astronomer Royal, Sir George Airy, was appointed as referee for the new clock and produced a specification in 1846. A key requirement of the specification was that the clock was to strike the first blow of each hour correct to one second in time. Tenders were invited and were received from three makers, Dent, Vulliamy and Whitehurst. Dent was Airy' s favourite and soon he had to make the clock himself. In 1852 Dent was awarded the contract. There were many troubles during building the tower. The first of the difficulties occurred when it was discovered that the architect had failed to make the necessary provision for the clock in the tower. Edward John Dent died in 1853 and the clock mechanism was completed by his stepson Frederick Rippon (who changed his name to Frederick Dent). In 1854 the mechanism was ready to be installed in the tower but this was not possible as the tower was incomplete

After a successful appearance in the United Kingdom in 1990, she retired due to ailing health. Two years later President Ronald Reagan awarded her the National Medal of Honor. Suffering continued health problems, Fitzgerald spent the last few years of her life in her Beverly Hills home. On June 15, 1996 she died at the age of seventyeight. Of Fitzgerald, Johnny Mathis said, "She was the best there ever was. Amongst all of us who sing, she was the best." His final words to his son Ziggy were "Money can't buy life."[6] Marley received a state funeral in Jamaica, which combined elements of Ethiopian Orthodoxy and Rastafari tradition. He was buried in a crypt near his birthplace with his Gibson Les Paul, a soccer ball, a Cannabis bud, a ring that he wore every day that was given to him by the Prince Asfa Wossen of Ethiopia (eldest son of HIM), and a Bible. A month before his death, he was awarded the Jamaican Order of Merit. Bob Marley's music has continuously grown in popularity in the years since his death, providing a stream of revenue for his estate and affording him a mythical status in 20th century music history. He remains enormously popular and well-known all over the world, particularly so in Africa. Marley was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994. Time magazine chose Bob Marley & The Wailers' Exodus as the greatest album of the 20th century.

Italian clavierist Girolamo Frescobaldi. The young Bach probably witnessed and assisted in the maintenance of the organ music. Bach's obituary indicates that he copied music out of Johann Christoph's scores, but his brother had apparently forbidden him to do so, possibly because scores were valuable and private commodities at the time. At the age of 14, Bach, along with his older school friend George Erdmann, was awarded a choral scholarship to study at the prestigious St. Michael's School in Lüneburg, not far from the northern seaport of Hamburg, one of the largest cities in the Holy Roman Empire. This involved a long journey with his friend, probably undertaken partly on foot and partly by coach. His two years there appear to have been critical in exposing him to a wider palette of European culture than he would have experienced in Thuringia

With a thumb sprained on an over-rotated backside 1080 in the second qualifying run, he clinched the event with the first of his two runs in the finals. His first finals run was awarded the highest score ever in FIS halfpipe, a 47.3. 2010 Winter Olympics At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, White again won gold in the halfpipe. In the finals, White recorded a score of 46.8 on his first run, which proved a high enough score to secure the gold medal without a second run. He performed his second run anyway, as a victory lap, ending his run with a well-anticipated Double McTwist 1260 which he named The Tomahawk

Fabio Capello

The blazerati of the Football Association are well known for their dislike of controversy. In the past, rampant publicity over the personal affairs of England managers has done little to endear them to the sport's mandarins. So a disciplined, conservative Italian who attempts to shun the limelight, avoids late nights and socialises outside football circles would appear to be their man. Yesterday, Fabio Capello sat down for talks with FA bosses that are expected to result in him being awarded a multi-million pound contract before Christmas. A perfect match? Well, possibly. There's just one thing. The conservatism that makes the61-year-old so appealing to some has for others, on occasion, gone just a little bit too far. Capello you see has a habit of spouting forth with opinions on public life. And those figures he admires most play their politics wide on the right. Described variously as "uncompromising", "disciplinarian" and "impatient", Capello
