In Estonian politics the influence of the United States can be seen the most in relations with NATO. Estonian national security is built up on being a member of NATO and depending on it's system of collective defense. The United States with it's second biggest army in the world is the most influential member of NATO and therefore we can say that in the sense of national security we depend on them. For this reason Estonian politics are very much interested in having good political relations with the United States and therefore some political decisions in Estonia might be influenced by the United States even if this impression might be withheld from the public. For instance, one example that comes to mind is the removal of the Monument of Lihula, which is a monument commemorating the Estonians who fought on the German side for Estonia against the Soviet Union in World War II.
British Cuisine Some people criticize English food. They say it's unimaginable, boring, tasteless, it's chips with everything and totally overcooked vegetables. The basic ingredients, when fresh, are so full of flavour that British haven't had to invent sauces to disguise their natural taste. Thanks to all that in 1919 she was diagnosed with schizophrenia. She isn't really famous poet in Estonia, but I chose her because when you read her poems you can really feel the pain she has been through. Her poems influenced lots of people with their fresh style and deep and painful content. These made people think about depths of life. Next writer I am going to talk about is Elisabeth Aspe. She lived in 1860-1927. She was an early realist, back at that time most people wrote about different things. Critics have said that her works were very interesting in many different ways. Her first well-known novel was Stepsister, it's a story about an orphan girl's fate. She describes beginning of the urbanization process a lot. Also, she was one of the first woman writers in Estonia. She wrote about city a lot. You would think that it's just a city, but actually for her it was so much more. For her it was a future vision and she used to word city in more ways than you could ever imagine
Philip Larkin poetry analysis For my poetry analysis paper I chose Philip Larkin's works, because he was the first British poet whose works I read. I think that his poems are interesting. They reveal much about Larkin's life and about the social issues in the 20th century. Larkin is also considered to be one of the greatest English poets in the 20th century. Why should tourists visit Estonia? I have always though of my country as a huge ,,multicultural city". We have so many different cultures from different places put into a little place all together that you could almost say we are a huge city not a country. The people in these countries do not have any experiences with other origin folk, because they aren't accustomed to it. When they see, for example, a black-skinned person they start whispering. The situation may be uncomfortable for a dark-skinned people. However, people who are being brought up in countries with wide diversity, are much more tolerant than people who are not. They meet different origins and skin colours while they grow up. They are used to the diversity of the society -- their friends and relatives maybe of another origin. Diversity joins the cultures of people of different origin. Different cultures make the country multifarious and unite the human beings. They can introduce their customs and culture to their fellow countrymen and in the course of time the cultures blend and become one. Learning foreign language - Why is it necessary? I think learning different languages are very important if you want to see world and people abroad. It makes your life easier if you can learn some larger language than Estonian. Estonian is very little language and example is quite hard to get god job if you cannot speak some world language. French people don't like the British. Germans are pedantic. Russians are generous, but lazy. What about Estonians? We can track in real time what people are doing, who they are communicating, what their marital status is and what mood they're in. Even businesses are promoting and seeking for new potential customers- through different public games where you can win from fancy dinners to fully paid trips to Hawaii. And it has been made so simple- you only have to click like and share. I think that Facebook is a good way to boost one's ego. I see people posting well selected pictures of their trips and parties. People can reach information in different languages and about different things just by clicking the remote control. As I'm writing this letter, I'm X years old. My birthday is on Xth X, beginning of summer here. In Estonia we have four very different seasons: warm summers, wet autumns, cold winters and blooming springs. I live in town X. Currently I'm attending Keila School ninth grade, which is last one of elemantary education.
