One positive thing that almost immediately pops into my head is the fact that being in the EU makes travelling so much easier between the member countries. So, along with the EU currency the euro, travelling in Europe has never been this easy. Now people don't even have to exchange their currency when travelling for example to Finland. But the simplification of travel could also bring some drawbacks.
