feelings. This year, i met with a person, who still comes to mind time and again. There was this girl, very short and cute. It seemed like she didn't care about anything, but yet she was still a person, a person with her own interests. I can remember a moment, when i felt happy. We sat in her room and had a conversation about all kinds of things. Suddenly, i noticed, that my i had put my hand around her, not very hard, but gently and quietly. At that moment, we sat there quietly, and didn't say anything to eachother. Just when i had thought, that now i am happy, someone opened the door, it was her mother, who just stepped in for a second, i startled and took my hand away from around her, since then, i haven't felt anything as incredible as that. What had started so fast had also ended fast. We both had our own paths to walk. Now she has left here and i can't even remember exactly when i last saw her

Charlie and Bella. When Charlie is satisfied that he has received the answer he wants, Bella is freed from the situation and goes to her room. Charlie is pleased with the idea and gladly lets Bella go, even knowing this will mean she may be late for curfew. Heartless

Heartless It was one late evening when a little blond girl, aged between 7-8, ran quietly across the Ninth Avenue and entered one of the old houses that were lining the road. Inside she went smoothly though the corridors and soon reached a wooden door. After knocking twice a voice from inside called "Enter!" and the child went in. The room was filled with the smoke of numberless cigarettes. The girl, however, made no emotion and came closer to the old and ugly man sitting behind the table. "I wasn't lucky today, Grandpa," whispered the child and her light blue eyes

Contribution: the red fox

People think that foxes are cleaver because of their good hunting skills by escaping fast and mixing traces. During the hunt, they are very cautious. The red fox is very curious. When they see some interesting and unusual objeckt, such as a human, the fox can easely come to investigate. The best place to see a fox is in the coppices. In the winter, set out during the daytime, when it is still white outside and find a likely spot. Then sit quietly and try not to move much. If you are fortunate, these fascinating creatures may come quite close.

Oliver Twist

Oliver Twist

The play was based on the book Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. They performed it in English, ofcourse, but what makes the play more interesting, is that it was in Old English. Thanks to the language, it took us back in time where the story takes place. It was hard to focus on the play, because of a girl who was sitting in the last row. She was laughing at all times, although the play had only a few humorous lines worth laughing. If you go to a theatre and you find the play boring, sit quietly and have some respect for other people. I really don't like plays where they cut down on the number of actors. Every actor should have only one role, so that they don't get their lines mixed and to really live into their character. Fortunately the performances were rather convincing. Also it is better to watch when the stage is decorated. In this particular show they used only the most neccessary things. It made the stage look amateurish and cheap.

I didn't dare to go there but I peeked around the corner and I saw two men fighting with each other. One man had a gun and he was wearing a black mask. The other man was a typical businessman. I didn't hear what they were talking about but then I heard a loud and clear shot and I saw the businessman falling down to the ground. I yelled quietly and ran away because I understood that the man saw me watching him. I ran constantly and all the time had on the brain that I was in terrible danger. I hated that I had left my mobile phone to home to be in privacy, I needed it. I was tired to death of running. I was watching back all the time and eventually I didn't see him anymore but I kept running. When I reached home I thought that I was safe but I didn't dare to switch on lights. Word order

pdf

Word order

In English the word order is not as flexible as in many other languages. The basic structure of an affirmative sentence is SUBJECT (Who?/What?) – PREDICATE (Action/State) – OBJECT (What?): Monkeys like bananas. Mary has a little lamb. All the world is a stage. The teacher is explaining the rule. Peter is playing the guitar. If we want to say something about the manner of the action ( how does something happen?), we put the adverbial of manner in front of the predicate: She quietly opened the door. If we want to stress the mode of action, we put the adverbial of manner after the object. She opened the door quietly. If we want to show the place where the action takes place we put the adverbial of place after the predicate. Janet lives in Paris. I work in the library. If we want to say when or how long something happens, we put the adverbial of time at the end of the sentence: 3 I saw Peter last week.

Black Beauty

The book is written from the point of view of the horse, which helps us to understand the influence that good and bad treatment had on the horses in the story. Black Beauty spent his early years in a picturesque, green field with his mother and some other young colts. When it was time for him to be trained to serve men, he was gently and patiently broken in by his master. He learned to wear a saddle and bridle, and carry a human quietly on his back. Black Beauty learnt about the way horses can suffer because of men very early in life. He witnessed a hunting expedition in which a horse was pushed too hard and fast by an inexperienced and overconfident rider. The consequences were tragic. The rider took a fall that killed him and the fine horse broke his leg and was then shot.t his next home, one of the horses with whom he shared a stable had the reputation of being wild and aggressive

While the rest of the week passes quietly for Bella, there is still no sign of Edward in school. She is still concerned that she may be the reason Edward is not there. Most of all they think how to survive this war-time. I think that this silent is because government does not want to scare public and try to hide bad things, what are happening in the state. Like the KGP- time in Estonia state. Public kept their mouth shut even then, when someone was murdered. Because it was a war-time and so many people stayed missing. Some humans were even deported to Russia. That was the reason why everybody tried to do their things quietly and invisibly. This was a war-time when law was silent. It is not right but I understand that law is silent to avoid bigger problems and to avoid making the war worse. To conclusion it is always easy to build a constant state or country but it is hard to protect it for them, who want to destroy their country. That is the reason why sometimes evil is starting to teach evil to someone else I meant killing. Like in this essay I brought for example the 5 year old boys

"What`s in there?" he said, but no answer was given. The old man was dead. The soldier prayed in the name of the Queen and stood up. Whoever these creatures that destroyed this village were they are gone now. No other creepy noise followed, so the man decided to pay a visit to the church that was soon covered within furious flames. The door of the ancient building fell apart when the man came nearer to it. Somewhat he felt uncomfortable while entering the sacred place. "Weird," he said quietly "I`ve been to many churches before, but this place...it doesn`t remind me of any stile we`ve studied in the Royal Palace... Very interesting indeed...At first the cursed Devil`s Field and now what? A sanctuary of the Demons?" And the truth it was, because instead of the holy pictures, only war scenes were waiting for his eyesight. Enchanted by the scenary, he totally forgot that the village was still burning and so was the old church

comment that though he values love most in life, he is not wise for doing so. The count is wiser than he claims, however. He hedges against the transitory nature of love by finding pleasure and amusement in games, birthday parties, and the taking of "a little stimulant." That one can depend on their simple pleasures lends games and divertissement a certain dignity; while they may not match up to the nobility of pursuits such as love, they prove quietly constant. Loyalty versus Abandonment - The notions of loyalty and abandonment apply equally well to love and war. The novel, however, suggests that loyalty is more a requirement of love and friendship than of the grand political causes and abstract philosophies of battling nations. While Henry takes seriously his duty as a lieutenant, he does not subscribe to the ideals that one typically imagines fuel soldiers in combat.

For her, this was always a blissful time of day. She knew he didn't want to speak much until the first drink was finished, and she, on her side, was content to sit quietly, enjoying his company after the long hours alone in the house. She loved to luxuriate in the presence of this man, and to feel - almost as a sunbather feels the sun - that warm male glow that came out of him to her when they were alone together. He forced the Irish chiefs & Norman lords to accept his lordship. He made Dublin the capital of his new colony. He took money & men for his wars. The Norman nobles & Irist chiefs quietly avoided English authority. As a result the English crown only controlled Dublin & a small area around it, known as the ,,Pale". The Anglo-Irish lords built strong castles, some became ,,more Irish than the Irish". The Irish chiefs continued to live as they always had done, moving from place to place & eating out of doors, a habit they only gave up in the 16th cent. In Scotland things were different. Data, more or less accurate. Other sources, be careful. Lack of sources, still perhaps the best overview, from old gen at least. Revolution, Repression, and Revival, uses many archival sources. Barnai's article, Khrushchev `til '65, let go quietly, retired in Crimea. Brezhnev's time, no terrors, wars, purges. Beria liquidated in Khrushchev's time, not others. Middle of night, won't take husband. Khrushchev, Malenkov, Beria three main candidates. USSR broke up, 16 states, still hard to get into archives in R, sources still in place. From HQ to periphery. Barnai mostly in Vilna. Docs an asset. What actually happened? More affected, more concerned than Asian republics. 20s, 30s, Js between village and city

know where to begin! Visiting Kenya was fantastic so far! The beaches are absolutely wonderfully. The sea is like glass and the white sand is as soft like powder. I've collected loads of shells already and yesterday I have ridden on an elephant. The local people also are very friendly and almost every night we had the opportunity to watch traditional dancing. You'd love africa. The most excited part of the holiday was hot-air baloon safari last week. It was amazing ! we floated quietly above all these teams of wild animals. The scenery absolutely was breathtaking. I've never seen nothing like it before. As soon as I will get back, I'll phone you and tell you all about it. Till then, take care. Mr. Collins must excuse me. He can have nothing to say to me that anybody need not hear. I am going away myself." "No, no, nonsense, Lizzy. I desire you to stay where you are." And upon Elizabeth's seeming really, with vexed and embarrassed looks, about to escape, she added: "Lizzy, I insist upon your staying and hearing Mr. Collins." Elizabeth would not oppose such an injunction--and a moment's consideration making her also sensible that it would be wisest to get it over as soon and as quietly as possible, she sat down again and tried to conceal, by incessant employment the feelings which were divided between distress and diversion. Mrs. Bennet and Kitty walked off, and as soon as they were gone, Mr. Collins began. "Believe me, my dear Miss Elizabeth, that your modesty, so far from doing you any disservice, rather adds to your other perfections. You would have been less amiable in my eyes had there not been this little unwillingness; but allow me to assure you, that I have

Tennessee. . . ." These were sent in the consulate's diplomatic systems, not in naval code. But Mayfield's hopes of peering into these secret activities through the window of a broken code were stymied by the refusal of the cable offices to violate the statute against interception. So when David Sarnoff, president of the Radio Corporation of America, vacationed in Hawaii, Mayfield spoke to him. It was subsequently arranged that thenceforth R.C.A.'s Japanese consulate messages would be quietly given to the naval authorities. But the consulate rotated its business among the several cable companies in Honolulu, and R.C.A.'s turn was not due until December 1. In Washington, however, intercepts overwhelmed GY and S.I.S. The tiny staff of cryptanalysts simply could not cope with all of them expeditiously. This difficulty was resolved in two ways. One was to cut out duplication of effort. At first, both services solved all their Japanese diplomatic intercepts

Be thou a spirit of health or goblin damn'd, Bring with thee airs from heaven or blasts from hell, 34 Be thy intents wicked or charitable, Thou comest in such a questionable shape That I will speak to thee: I'll call thee Hamlet, King, father, royal Dane: O, answer me! Let me not burst in ignorance; but tell Why thy canonized bones, hearsed in death, Have burst their cerements; why the sepulchre, Wherein we saw thee quietly inurn'd, Hath oped his ponderous and marble jaws, To cast thee up again. What may this mean, That thou, dead corse, again in complete steel Revisit'st thus the glimpses of the moon, Making night hideous; and we fools of nature So horridly to shake our disposition With thoughts beyond the reaches of our souls? Say, why is this? wherefore? what should we do? Ghost beckons HAMLET HORATIO It beckons you to go away with it, As if it some impartment did desire To you alone. MARCELLUS

Never leave the one you love for the person you like, because the one you like will leave you for the person they love. The second I met you I realized that I truly have no regrets. Every single choice I have made, every single step I have taken, and every single word i have spoken, good or bad has brought me to you and in the end thats all I ever wanted. Make me believe that what we had wasn't all a lie ... even though I'll probably never believe anyway. Some people come into our lives and quietly stay. Others stay for a while, leaving footprints in our hearts and we are never the same. I don't know how to not love you, I only know how to not let you go. Understanding fully this route to altered self-perception, the Chinese set about arranging the prison-camp experience so that their captives would consistently act in desired ways. Before long, the Chinese knew, these actions would begin to take their toll, causing the prisoners to change their views of themselves to align with what they had done. Writing was one sort of committing action that the Chinese urged incessantly upon the captives. It was never enough for prisoners to listen quietly or even to agree verbally with the Chinese line; they were always pushed to write it down as well. Schein (1956) describes a standard indoctrination session tactic of the Chinese: Aforther technique was to have the man write out the question and then the [pro- Communist] answer.lfhe refosed to write it voluntarily, he was asked to copy it from the notebooks, which must have seemed like a harmless enough concession. (p. 161) Oh, those "harmless" concessions

property managers had filed to carry out some repairs. They in turn threatened to take her to court. She talked for ten minutes or so. I sat, looked, and listened. Suddenly she stopped talking, looked at the papers all around her as if she had just woken up from a dream. She became calm and gentle. Her entire energy filed changed. Then she looked at me and said, “This isn't important at all, is it?” “No, it isn't,” I said. She sat quietly for a couple more minutes, then picked up her papers and left. The next morning she stopped me in the street, looking at me somewhat suspiciously. “What did you do to me? Last night was the first night in years that I slept well. In fact, I slept like a baby.” She believed I had “done something” to her, but I had done nothing. Instead of asking what I had done to her, perhaps she should have asked what I had not done. his teacher, Heino Eller.3 The work marked a deeper submerging into the spirit of the time and a further move towards succinct and technical maturity. Polyphonic technique is noticeable as he until the present work had not given much attention to it. The First Symphony starts with a leitmotif (the first three sounds of the original dodecaphonic row); it sounds like a loud, ominous laugh: Example 97. Quietly, but firmly the violoncellos are stepping in; this laconic image substitutes the “main theme”, it is restless and complaining. Its sequences, ever rising, become ever more strenuous: Example 98. The hazy, wistful, subsidiary theme is introduced by the French horns. In building the form, Pärt used the same method as in Perpetuum; the texture becomes denser step by step. The developing section contains both canons and contrasting counterpoint

The Proposition theorist can insist that words like "is," "and," "of," "chiliagon," and "nonentity" express concepts Traditional theories of meaning 71 ("chiliagon" especially, which is a well-defined geometric term). But as I said in response to objection 1, if this is not to sound empty and perhaps even circular, the proposition theorist will have to give us some further character- ization of the relevant concepts, one that does not quietly presuppose some notion of linguistic meaning. (We shall see in chapter 10 that a sophisticated version of the Proposition Theory can do this.) The Proposition view is the leading entity theory of meaning. Like any theory of meaning it aims at explaining the meaning facts. It attempts to do that by positing a certain range of entities; that is how we often explain things, especially in science. We posit subatomic particles, unobservable
