There has been released three biogrphies about Michael Morpurgo. First on wasreleased in 1999 called “Interview with Michael Morpurgo”, written by JoannaCarey. In 2004 there was released “Dear mr Morpingo: Inside the world of Michael Morpurgo”, written by Geoff Fox. In 2005 was released “Michael Morpurgo”,written by Shaun McCarthy. Favorites among his own books are The Butterfly Lion, Kensuke´s Kingdom, WarHorse and Private Peaceful. The book talks about a horse who lives on a farm and moves into the battles of World War I. It is a story of friendship lasting through the toughest tests. Michael Morpurgo tells the story trough the eyes of a horse. It is a moving and a powerful story of survival.

His the author of many books for children, five of which have been made into films. He also writes his own screenplays and libretti for opera. Following an early job as a school caretaker, Michael studied English and French at King's College London, and went on to teach primary school pupils in Kent. Morpurgo's work is noted for its "magical storytelling". His ambitions for writing shows in all of his stories. In 1976 Michael and his wife Clare, established the charity Farms for City Children. The programme involves the children spending a
